MF Sushi- Atlanta
Great service, great food. only letdown was they said they couldn’t do an omakase because it was a little late (9:15pm)
Great food and ambiance.
No uni again
No yellowtail collar
Won’t be going back
I asked twice what they are famous for because honestly the food was very unimpressive and way over priced. I think it’s just a see and be seen place
High quality fish. Great drinks. The chefs nigiri is amazing.
When I showed up, I realized I mistakenly made a reservation for the next day. Thanks for the sweet hostesses to work me in. Thanks for acknowledging a repeat customer. Fish quality here is the best!
The food and service were great as usual! The heaters were broken outside though on the patio, and they do not validate for parking. Thankfully the weather was just nice enough to still dine outside without the heaters. Overall it was a good experience.
Excellent sushi and service. Divine wine list and gracious, yet unobtrusive service. Always a sure-fire win. Highly recommend!
Always great food.
WELCOME TO COVID CENTRAL. MF Sushi has long been my favorite sushi restaurant in Atlanta. No more. Apparently, MF’s management is unaware that we are in the midst of a pandemic. They pack people in to tables so close that you cannot push back your chair without hitting the one behind you. In other words - no social distancing. When we were seated, the back room was not crowded. So I assumed that they would keep every other table empty. But within 30 minutes, they sat parties all around us - no empty tables. When I raised concerns with the hostess, she said the seat however many reservations they have - no policy to address COVID or limited capacity. I asked to speak to the manager. The hostess gave me a generic email address. I sent a note discussing this issue and received no response at all. So either the email address was a false one or the manager did not care about responding. In either case, it is evident that MF does not care at all about the safety or well being of its patrons. I will not be back.
Best Sushi in Atlanta, try the avocado balls. Sashimi was excellent.
The omakase was incredible and the chefs were very meticulous and skillful. One of the best sushi experiences in town.
We have always loved MF but unfortunately the quality of the sushi this time was different as well as the preparation. Hoping this will just be a one time thing and that they aren’t cutting corners. I was also concerned to not see more cleaning of menus and tables after people left. They should step up their covid cleaning.
Absolutely tremendous service and the owner of the restaurant is so nice and it’s really laid-back. And the atmosphere of the restaurant was absolutely outstanding.
No real social distancing measures taken - all tables were utilized throughout our entire dinner and definitely not spaced 6 ft apart.
We had high hopes for MF having been recommended by several friends, but unfortunately the service was quite bad and we do not plan on returning. Only received 1 of the 3 dishes I ordered - the other 2 arrived 30+ minutes late (it was a total of 4 pcs of sushi btw) and well after my date had finished his entree. We even ordered a side of edamame to help punctuate the long wait time :/
Noise level was also so bad I could barely hear the server let alone conversation at the table - I appreciate the restaurant comping the 2 dishes, but considering how much we still spent on dinner and drinks, it unfortunately doesn’t compensate for the all in all poor experience. Bummed bc the food is really delicious (we had the wagyu, uni, anago roll, corn side and yellowtail app) - hopefully the service improves !!
Amazing date spot with creative cocktails and great food!
If you’re a sushi lover in ATL - this is the place to go!
Food was unreal. Truly unbelievable fish, omakase levels similar to high end places in San Francisco or New York. Service was super slow. Full experience took 3 hours with long waits between courses. Main reason for the 3 stars is because of lack of covid precautions. Dish/bus staff walking through dining room with masks below MOUTHS. Every table was sat with no more than 2 feet of separation between diners. With everything going on, it sadly made a great dinner feel wildly uncomfortable
Food is beautifully prepared and the menu is large enough for everyone to find something. Service was very good. The chair was possibly the most uncomfortbale chair I had ever sat in- whatever the material was I was sliding down constantly (it was sloped in the back and slick on the seat and I was in suit pants) to the point I had to swap a chair from the bar. Drinks were nice as well. Portions are a little small but what you expect at semi high priced sushi venues so if you are going to go to really eat expect to pay for it-but for a nice night out on a date or business meeting, this is a great place-maybe not you everyday "lets go get dinner I don't feel like cooking tonight "place but the food is very good.
Had a fantastic dinner @ MF Sushi. It was a Monday night and it was bumping! The hostess and servers were all very delightful. Service was prompt and food was delicious. I recommend the calamari appetizer - I seriously have never eaten calamari this good!
Our server was great and the food came out fast!
Absolute best sushi and service In Atlanta.
Not enough social distancing in the restaurant! Got up and left..
Wanted to try omakase but they weren’t available n they didn’t have much sushi to try
MF Sushi serves the best sushi in Atlanta, bar none. My experience with their seating and service made the price tag sting a bit. We were seated in the darkest part of the restaurant and forgotten for 15 minutes. The hostess was very helpful in making sure we were eventually served. When you make a reservation, be specific about where you want to be seated. I’m not sure I’ll be returning here, but I highly recommend the sushi offerings. I’m really disappointed in the service.
No covid precautions- staff said they ‘can’t socially distance on weekends’
I love this place. I come every time I visit Atlanta.
It was great!
Excellent food quality, service and music! Always consistent!!
Food was impeccable! Avocado balls are a MUST HAVE
Hands down best sushi in ATL! We absolutely loved our dinner. Everything was incredible! The fish is incredibly fresh. Service was great as well! Social distancing can be improved but we still felt comfortable! but we cannot wait to go back.
My first time there in years and was even better than I remember
Order the omakase, it is incredible and worth the money. Our server was attentive and gave us all the info we needed. One of the best meals I’ve had and by far the best sushi. 10/10
I went to MF Sushi with a group of friends for my birthday and our waitress was very knowledgable, polite, well-organized and timely. The food is delicious and everyone loved it!
Great environment but we got to seat at the back all cramped up because of COVID-19 and social distancing which dampened our dining experience slightly. The sushi was an 8 out of 10 in terms of presentation and taste. I would recommend the spot to anyone looking for a decent sushi or omakase restaurant in southeast Atlanta.
Been to this place before but this last visit has been a disappointment.
Most of the food was good. I would skip out on their tuna tartar it's just okay in flavor and size... not sure if it's worth the price point when you can get it elsewhere for a similar price point for better quality and maybe a little bit bigger in portion.
Rolls were good, nigiri was good.
Service was terrible... so it ruined the overall experience which is a disappointment.
I’ve never had anything here that I didn’t enjoy. Highly recommend the calamari, yellowtail (hamachi) and green mussels.
Amazing food, service, and ambiance. Can't wait to go again!
We had a great time! Ambiance was great for a date (but not over the top), decor is very mellow and earthy, service was great, food was above and beyond expectations. We ended up here by circumstance but so glad we found it!
