MF Sushi- Atlanta
So, this place is pricey. However, the sushi is some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The five of us shared a couple of apps, a couple of specialty rolls (one cooked, one raw) and two regular rolls. Everything was excellent. I especially liked that the rolls were cut into pieces thin enough that you can put an entire piece in your mouth without stuffing it full, and that the nori was so fresh you could actually bite through it. I’ll go back for sure.
Food was delicious, best sushi i’ve had in Atlanta for sure. The vibe was really relaxed, nice music, good to take someone on a date or to celebrate a special occasion. Will be coming back for sure.
Love this place! Best sushi in Atlanta. Baked lobster to die for!
I have never seen such presentation with fish scales that danced on the heated plate, amazing, estehtically pleasing and quality of fish was impeccable
It's always the bomb.
Extremely pricey but food is worth it
Really excellent sushi; a bit pricey and smaller portions compared to other places I go. But even though I can't make it my go-to because of the price points, the food and ambiance are just excellent.
It was very good taste and reasonable. I recommend to wait a little bit more time to clear up dishes. We were still working to eat.
We had a lovely time and ate at the sushi bar
The signature nigiri selection as well as the avocado mousse balls were highlights of our meal.
There sushi rolls options were also wonderful.
Only issue was that service was a little slow we didn’t see our waitress that much.
I would definitely return
The food and freshness of the sushi is phenomenal. I think the smaller plates are very expensive and small in size, but I still really enjoy them. The avocado balls are now smaller and I think they now only serve 2 per order, where I remember that three used to. I would still like some better choices on Maki, the combinations are good but would like less spicy tuna/salmon as their central focus.
While I wrote a great review last October, the service has deteriorated since that time. The service is now to a point over the last few visits that it affected our meal. Tonight, our server was very nice but neglected to place half the order. The sushi plates were delivered and not all of them were. When we were finished with half the order, he asked if we wanted more. We told him we did not receive what we ordered. Quickly one came, but the other never arrived. The other two visits had different but just as bad service.
As much as I like the food, unless the service returns to acceptable it will be hard to keep in the rotation.
Great sushi! A little pricey. Service was really slow and the chef forgot to make one of our appetizers. I would recommend if you are looking for great sushi in Atlanta.
Delicious food, even tastier drinks! Courteous and professional service, I will return sooner than later ❤️❤️
Awesome experience. Best Sushi in town! The service was on point and prompt. The food was amazing showcasing the skills of theChef.
Terrible acoustics in the restaurant. Sushi was average. Losing its luster.
The food was delicious - very fresh and creative flavors! The servers were friendly and pretty attentive for a busy Saturday evening. They were unfortunately out of the wine that we ordered from the menu which was a bit disappointing. The one stall bathrooms made for lines which was a bit frustrating.
Very nice restaurant in an upscale setting. Fresh seafood and excellent service. What more could you ask for?
Love this place! Amazing food! Loud club vibe so don’t come here for deep conversation-come for great food and fun.
The food was great as always. The reason I read it this overall poor is because at the end of the night when it came time to pay the server informed us that the restaurant no longer excepted cash. This should have been made clear at the beginning of the evening. I feel like that is extremely unprofessional for any establishment to not except cash and not make that plainly clear to the guests upon their arrival. When the server informed us and saw our shock he was not even vaguely unapologetic or concerned. Everyone does not have credit cards OR would prefer her not to use them for dinner and this could have been a bigger mess if that was the case in my situation. Very poor on the restaurant and the server’s part.I will not be back.
Love this place. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the customer service is warm and friendly. Would recommend this place in a flash!
Creative and delicious sushi! Really enjoyed! Would definitely recommend. Cool vibe for sure.
Great meal - amazing sushi and cooked items. Service was very good. The only negative thing was the volume - it was SO LOUD in there. I am normally a fan of busy, loud places - this reached the point where we couldn't hear each other across the table.
Our server led us through menu selections, and the food did not disappoint! We’ll definitely be returning.
Solid sushi and server, but for the price point, I'll go to Umi or other restaurants in town in the future. We wanted to splurge for Valentine's Day, but were informed once we were seated no omakase in spite of making a reservation for omakase. Would've been nice to have been alerted this wasn't an option before we came, or at least tell us in advance there's a chance it wouldn't happen (I made res on OpenTable and also called to verify we were set for omakase, a gentleman said no problem). Was our first time here, and just didn't feel like a 5 star experience for the amount of money we planned on spending.
Sushi was solid, but again, a notch below other spots in town for the same price.
Great sushi, great service. Tables are high chairs are low.
Service was super slow, food tricked out of the kitchen over and 1.5 hour time span. Ruined the experience. Too bad because the fish was relish!
Exquisite sushi expertly prepared, attentive and knowledgeable staff, and an upscale ambience. This was the perfect date night dinner destination. When I made a special request for salmon aburi, the waitress immediately was able to recommend a salmon belly nigiri that was available off-menu that was exactly what I was looking for. That kind of attention to detail makes this a 5-star experience.
Fabulous as always but the music was way too loud for us this time
Fantastic food and great service! You can't go wrong with a date night to MF Sushi!
Sushi chef took very food care of me. Omakase is a must. Service from the floor could have been better.
I took my daughter for dinner and we chose the $150 per person Omakase menu option where the chef decides what he is going to serve us. We sat at the sushi bar and had a 10 course meal that was spectacular. I highly recommend MF Sushi and the experience.
Food is always spot on. Service is ok, efficient vs. personable. Prices still going up and high. I've met the owner a dozen times for personal and business, and never remembers my name (or my wife who has been going to the old location back year ago) vs. other restaurants where the staff welcomes you back, and at the prices they charge, they should at least recognize you.
The sushi was really good!
Good food and service as usual.
One of the best, high-end sushi experiences you will have.
Loud and delicious!
It was delicious! Very close attention to detail and very fun atmosphere
Overall I was very pleased with the food and how fresh the sushi/fish was. I was disappointed with how slow the service was, especially towards the end of the night, when there was much less people in the dining area.
Fine dining prices without the fine dining service, nor fine dining food consistency.
-sushi was good
-ordered a nice bottle of wine ($100+)and the server poured all 4 glasses completely (and very unevenly).. no breathing, no pouring as the evening goes, and then removed the bottle from the table immediately. Being in the wine business, I was horrified.
-black cod was too salty (and I like salt!), and it’s my favorite Japanese dish
-calamari was extremely chewy, we stopped eating it
-had to flag server down several times to order extra glasses of wine (we knew better than to order a bottle again)
-the bar experience was also impersonal, and they don’t offer an option to transfer drinks tab to the table. Not a deal breaker, just not expected at this price point
-I made a note in the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and it was never acknowledged
I want to like this place; I live in the neighborhood. It’s not affordable to go just because you are craving sushi, and it’s not a nice enough experience to go when you want to spend a little more for a nice evening. I struggle to find it’s value proposition.
Has been a VERY long time since I went to MF sushi, I went to the restaurant before it was in Inman Park.
Being an avid sushi eater I would continue to put this restaurant high on the list of best sushi spots in ATL
The signature nigiri is a must do and we loved the avocado/salmon ball appetizer
The decor is stylish my only comment is that the tables are too close together and too high- but that wouldn’t stop me from coming back.
