Mezzo - Dublin Ratings and Reviews
Had dinner on a Saturday night at 8:00 pm with another couple. Place was packed but we were promptly seated as we had reservations. Our server was pleasant and the food arrived as ordered except for dressing on the wives' salads, but the waitress brought us a dessert to share.
The ladies had a salmon salad, I had the Chicken and another had the meatballs and spaghetti.
The food was excellent and priced fairly. The only complaint was that the pasta served with the portions of pasta served with the chicken and spaghetti could have been larger.
To me, consistency is something that I look for when dining out. Mezzo is consistently excellent. It has been 2 years since I had been to Mezzo; blame that on having two young children. But, my last meal there was just as excellent, if not more so than my prior meal.
Everything from the ambience to the service is top notch. I had the Squid Ink Pasta, which was some of the best pasta I have eaten in my life. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. My wife had the Sea Scallops on Risotto. Also excellent.
Great service, exceptional food!
For the moment we walked in we received great service. Timely service however properly spaced courses. Wonderful clean restaurant can’t wait to visit again soon!
Would recommend reservations, I used open table without any issues.
Absolutely delicious food and exceptional service. Quality ingredients and the best kale I have ever tasted! I’ve been twice now. Our waitress consulted the on-site sommelier for a recommendation for the BEST Pinot Noir, and it really was the best that me and my wine-experienced friend have ever had. Very patient and attentive. Prices are not outrageous, for the quality of the food, which is five stars. Love this place and plan on coming back!
Came for early Valentines Day dinner. Cocktails were original but not as good as expected. Dinner was nice and service was outstanding. Prices for food quantity and quality was a bit overpriced as compared to competitors. Will return but probably less frequently and more happy hour type visit.
I had enjoyed a lunch with friends at Mezzo about a year ago and had a great experience with authentic Italian cuisine, but this was my first chance to get my husband there with me since we have moved farther away. I can't say this about many restaurants, but both our meal and service at Mezzo were flawless. Our request for a quiet table was met more than adequately, making our early Valentine's dinner(the 13th) very enjoyable. We shared a fresh, delicious salad to start, that featured wonderful artichokes and a light, flavorful dressing. My scallops paired with parmesan risotto were perfect and my husband's pan seared filet was one of the best he had ever tasted. For dessert we tried the bread pudding with white chocolate sauce and berries, and were not disappointed. French Press coffee was served and even the bread was warm and tasty. Mezzo - our new favorite restaurant!
The ambiance, the food and the service were excellent. There was more white noise than we would prefer, but it was a Saturday dinner reservation and can be somewhat expected.
We celebrated Valentine's Day a little early and look forward to dining there again.
Excellent food and service!! Our waitress was very patient as we figured out a wine selection. She gave us a sample of the two we were deciding between. So glad she did which solidified our choice. It was so great! Food was delicious too! Will definitely be going back soon.
We went during Restaurant Week. We were seated right away but there were long gaps between service times with your server. We did finally get water but then it was a long pause before we were able to order. We were there very early in the dinner service so it did not make sense why there were lags in the service. I am bringing this up because it has been referenced previously and seems to need some improvement. So far as the food it was great! Each course was delicious!
The Caesar salad was crisp with lovely parmesan, (i had the arancini; trattoria roma is much better) the striped bass with shrimp and grits was so superb. I wanted either a spoon or bread to clean that plate but had neither. The last course of tiramisu was so creamy and rich but not over powering. (i had a bite of moms as I had the cannoli).
My boyfriend and I went to Mezzo - Dublin for restaurant week. Our appetizers and desserts were amazing. The bass I got left something to be desired as it wasn't very flavorful, which was disappointing. However, the service was wonderful, and given the opportunity I would go back again to try a different dish. The wine list was robust. I did see older kids there with kid-friendly activities and meals.
