Mezzanotte Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We have been fans of Mezzanotte for years. Sadly, we just left the Houston area and will miss the restaurant. Terribly. The occasion for this dinner was to take neighbors as sort of a goodbye event. Adriana and Gerry did not disappoint. One guest had the Sole and announced it was probably the best fish meal she'd ever had! The service was fast, efficient and accurate. The wine list is extremely reasonable and carefully designed.
I miss the restaurant already!
I was meeting a friend to catch up, and asked for a quiet table condusive to conversation, when I made the Open Table reservation.
The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, but the hostess immediately tried to seat us right next to the kitchen door. I asked to be directed to a different table, to which the hostess eventually resistantly complied. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I would say that owners might want to re-train this hostess. I will definitely be back to enjoy this lovely little neighborhood gem.
The place was amazing and food to match.
Now, if they could hire a better hostess - they would have an amazing place. Even the owner appeared amazing and walking around. Yet, the hostess can't smile - bored and generally out of place for some 17-20 year old. Trust me - they can do better. What an amazing place and food.
We went for Houston Restaurant Weeks. The starters and main courses were excellent! We had the steak and pork meals and the meat was amazing.
Then we waited and waited for the creme brulee. It's my favorite dessert and it was so disappointing. The creme was blah and the sugar on top was barely melted and not caramelized.
The worst part was the awful live music singing 70s and 80s ballads. It was super loud too.
Me, my Husband, and daughter went to Mezzanotte Ristorante for a nice dinner. It was our first time Saturday night. We were all very pleased with the nice atmosphere and great service. There was a jazz saxophone player that was very good. The food was excellent. We definitely recommend this nice Italian restaurant. It's quite and you will be taken care of and will have a delicious dining experience.
Great food and great experience! Service was high quality, though we were among the only guests in the restaurant, so we had the waitstaff's full attention. Large winelist (book) that complimented the delicious Italian cuisine nicely. Great local find and will be back!
We stumbled upon Mezzanotte when looking through Yelp reviews of area restaurants. We decided try it and were not disappointed! The food was authentic and the menu selection was unique, yet familiar. We first noted that their wine list was quite impressive with multiple Orin Swift wines on the menu. I had homemade pasta (can't even remember the name because it was the first time I'd heard of it) with pomodoro sauce...and it was amazing! The live music was a treat and the ambiance was great. The only complaint was that our server was very slow and not very informed of the menu...or there was a language barrier. Twice she misinterpreted what we were ordering but we enjoyed our food anyway. I will definitely return and will recommend to friends in the area.
We dined here after my son's high school graduation with our family from out of town. The food was delicious and there was live music which only added to the ambiance. My family loved that it was a local restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious with a wonderful atmosphere; not too big, and not too small and cramped.
