Being that my gf had been wanting to come here since the place was built I made reservations on her BIRTHDAY only to leave with her crying.. when our request to speak to the manager was ignored we decided to leave only to be followed out by him and two guards asking if we walked out on our tab of ONE DRINK , that was LEFT ON THE TABLE UNTOUCHED. She ordered the drink and requested 2 shots , the server came , slid it on the table and walked to the next table and politely obliged their stay , didn’t ask if it was as she requested, if she needed anything else, if she’d like to place her order for food, nothing. When my gf quietly and politely asked if her two shots were in the drink she was “shushed” by the SERVER , even the people he so dearly cared about turned and asked her if he Really just did that ...that’s when the manager that never Came was requested.. I wouldn’t recommend this place to locals or anyone for that matter

Made a reservation and took the family for Mother's day dinner. Very disappointed. We waited at the hostess station for more than five minutes and were never greeted or contacted by any employees. I had to approach the bar tender to ask about being seated. It wasn't busy at all. Maybe four tables seated so not sure where all the staff was. We were eventually seated on the patio. One of the tables was so wobbly the waitress had to stack coasters underneath to try an balance it. Didn't work.
Ordered the guacamole. It was pretty bland. The salsa also wasn't very flavorful and the chips weren't hot. The smokey cucumber margarita is smokey , but the jalapeño and cucumber flavor was nonexistent. The Cadillac margarita was decent. My kids enjoyed the taquitos. The chicken tacos were delicious. The carnitas are cooked very well but poorly seasoned. There beans are very good but the rice is pretty bland.
Our waitress disappeared for a pretty lengthy amount of time and our glasses sat empty. Her coworkers checked on us but brought us back the wrong cocktails. When I next saw our waitress, it appeared she had made a coffee run for herself and coworkers based on the tray of drinks she was carrying from another business. Overall, the ambiance is nice but the quality of the food and poor service aren't worth a return visit.

We went for a Mother's Day lunch. The food was good but we expected better. The place is decorated with a cool Latino vibe. The server was polite and friendly. We had reservations for 12:15 but got there at 12:30 with no problem seating. The kitchen was backed up so we waited about 1:45 minutes for our main course to be served. Very delayed service. They took $55 off the bill. I still want to go back to try their happy hour tacos and beer. Good chips and salsa.

Very eclectic restaurant and bar. Had nice ambiance and energy, however the service lacked a bit. Although the server was nice and accommodating, he lacked on monitoring on his guests as he attended tables with more guests and neglected basic drink refill and general attentiveness. Overall the experience was nice. I would recommend this business, but alert the staff to attend to their customers.

we were there to celebrate mothers day and a birthday . it was about 14 of us and had ONE server. we asked for seperate bills from the beginning and ended up ith a mixed up bill with extra charges of items we didnt order. the server was rude and obnxious. we had to ask for refills on chips and salsa every time and also on drinks. the food took forever and was nbrought at long wait increments which meant some of us ate before others because the food would get cold. one of our guest received her plate incomplete rice and beans were missing and she had to ask him twice for it he didnt bring them until she was done with her fajitas main dish. he even made the comment to tell us "We were not at McDonalds". finally i asked for the manager and he was no help at all it was as if the server had more to argue about with us and the manger showed no authority. the server did not deserve the $65 gratuity that was forcefully added to our bill.

Made a reservation two-three days in advance for 9pm. Showed up and rudely, the hostess told me they were not taking anymore people for dinner. I told her that I had a reservation and asked her if showing my email confirmation would help but she said no they were setting up for nightclub. Not sure why you would accept reservations if you really weren't gonna take people in. My other friends were able to get a table ten minutes after we were denied.

Took an hour to get the food out to the table.
Missing food.
Waiter only checked on us twice the entire 2.5 hours we were there.

When we arrived, we were told by a hostess that even though we had a reservation from OpenTable, they were very full and they couldn't seat us that we had to wait with all the other people waiting without reservations - or that we could come back another time. We waited on , eventually the manager showed up and decided to give us a table. Eventually after waiting for 20 min, we Order our food together with the appetizers and deserts- Waited for an hour and a half before our food arrived, and that was only after getting help from a very helpful server called Ian, running multiple trips to the kitchen to see if he could do anything to get us our food, then the owner Miguel came to the table to see how everything was going, and we let him know exactly what was happening, he went back and brought the food to the table. If you go make sure you double check your reservation will be honored, and before you order your food find out how long it will take to get to you.

The food was different and for the most part fairly good. We had the borracho fries which were delicious. We also had the combination plate which was okay. It was a fun atmosphere but the reason for only giving it 3 stars is that the drinks were terribly overpriced for the amount served. Anyone can expect to pay $9 - 14 for a margarita but the margaritas came in a very small glass that was packed with ice so we really probably only got about 4 - 5 ounces of an actual drink. I doubt we'll be visiting this place again soon.

We were just looking for a place close to the Fox Theater & we found this very nice place. The food was good & I loved the ambiance. The art was fun! Even the bathroom art was cool! I have to admit...I liked the drinks better than the food, but the food was good. I definitely will come back.

Well we had a party of 15 for my cousin's birthday. I made reserves online and I was called in to make sure the reservations went through online because I am a planner and I would hate for something to be my fault as to why our name wasn't on the list.
So, we were all looking forward to going here and we spend when we go out.. and they decided security and promoter and OWNER.. and the owner was too busy video calling someone on his phone instead of allowing 15 paying customers into their bar... no they couldn't do that because our DD didn't have his ID he is 33 ex military and we told them to put X's on his hands because he didn't want to drink he was here to make sure we got home safe.
but no... we walked away because these people do not know how to run a business..
its sad we will not be returning.
and you lost out on money for your ignorance .
we were happy where we ended up but I'm glad we didn't waste our money here.

The cuisine at Mezcal never disappoints - everything on the menu is tasty. However, the last time I visited, our group of 10 had to wait almost an hour to be served. I would normally understand this if the restaurant was crowded, but there was almost no other patrons in there at the time. This is my only criticism... other than that, it's a cool place to eat.

We've been to Mezcal on a few occasions. The food is always delicious and the servers are always friendly. I love the decor, it is one of my favorite themes - Día de Muertos.
The margaritas are delicious and made from scratch, so it takes a little bit of time getting your drinks, but worth it.
We will be returning again in the future.
If you enjoy good quality Mexican food this is a great place to try:)

My reservation was at 9:30pm on a Friday evening. I was called a few minutes after placing the reservation to inform me that the kitchen closes at 10pm. I was fine with that because I've had dinner there before but not this late. I was seated and served. The service, food and ambiance was good. It was towards the end that I had a problem. So, after 10pm, they turn the dining area into a dance floor. I was seated on a booth along the wall. Someone came up to me to tell me that I needed to leave because the booth was reserved for bottle-service. Seriously?? All I was doing was waiting for the check. I said, "ok, no problem. I'll leave soon after I pay the check." The guy (maybe the Manager) walks away. A few minutes later he tells a waiter to get me to leave. He actually pointed at me. Ridiculous right?!?!? I paid my bill and left. Never again will I step foot in this place.

I've been here before any the experience is almost always the same. The food is good but the service is lacking. It's not horrific but definitely not great. This particular day, the soda machine was down and the ceviche was not as good as usual (barely any mango or shrimp in it). I'd still say to try it out and always look for a deal on Yelp, Amazon local etc.

Set up the reservation online, made a couple of changes before we got there in the evening, changes were made & confirmed online, which was great. At the time of the reservation, it was asked what the occasion was for and I had made clear it was to celebrate a Birthday. In which there was nothing special from Mezcal to acknowledging the Birthday. The Drinks were a lil weak and the food was priced expensively for the little plates that were given. :-( The Ambiance was light but after an hour it was a little boring and eventually the music playlist started all over again. No Bueno!
