Made reservations for 9PM however, we still got seated 10 minutes past the hour.
The service was great! The atmosphere was perfect. It was crowded but you still felt as if you had enough space to enjoy the company you where with and not hear everyone’s conversation
First time visiting, was actually our Valentine’s dinner and was not disappointed. Got 2 appetizers, our entrees and dessert. We almost returned the next day for lunch but were unable to, sadly.
I take into account that it was Valentines weekend but shouldn’t those be the days that you want to shine the most?
The service was great! The food was cold & tough. The restaurant is so very loud! We just wanted to get out of there.
Waited 20 min for table...with reservation
Love having another Great Mexican Food Option! Skinny Margherita was simply the Best! Mesquite Chicken Fajitas were better than any I have had in years!
We enjoyed everything in the restaurant it was very welcoming and the food service and ambient were great. Definitely going to Mexican Sugar again. :)
given worst table in the house next to the kitchen and told we could not have a booth when one for 2 people was available.
Wont be back
Good food, good vibes, great Tequila selection.
Seated promptly, food was good. Seemed like they were trying to push us through. Rushing at just about ever interaction with staff. Took my plate before I was completely finished. I guess Valentine’s Day is pretty busy
Great service provided by Mr. Silva!
The food was flavorful and fresh.
I had the margarita flight and the steak and everything was delicious. The flavors of the margaritas were refreshing but nice and strong and it’s a great deal. 3 margs for $20!! The steak and mashed potatoes were cooked perfectly and I loved how the place was decorated. A must try and we will be back!
Daughter’s 18th birthday
Food took an hour- nothing was offered to compensate. Spilled queso on our table. Server was aloof and food was ok.
Mexican Sugar is one of my favorite spots to enjoy Hispanic cuisine in the area. The service and food is usually outstanding. Our service this visit was great, however I was not impressed with the food. The salsa did not taste the same. Something was definitely off. One of our guest's entrees was brought to the table first while the other 3 of our entrees dragged. Our food was barely warm. None of us finished our meals. I know the quality of the food Mexican Sugar usually has, however my guests had never been here before. I was a little embarrassed suggesting we eat here, raving about how great it was, and then it not be so amazing.
Great time, great food, great cocktail for parents night out! Will def be back.
Good food and drinks. Dessert was the exception; not good. Ordered Chocolate cake(had this previously and was very good), tonight it was hard/stiff; must have been in the refrigerator at low temperature and was not soft/creamy....totally inedible
Host desk is a mess. 5 ladies with little experience in customer service. Had made reservations and still had to wait almost 30 minutes for a table. Just shows the poor management in this location. They seated us next to three large birthday parties and our server was attending us and all 3 parties. Not enough help for the poor girl and put her in in an awful position to accurately perform her job.
Instead of enjoying a nice dinner out with my spouse; it was a tense and poor experience that I would prefer to avoid.
Extremely hard to ever consider returning.
We had a reservation and arrived 5 minutes early. Then we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. There was a large waiting area and everybody in there had a reservation and was frustrated with the wait. It seemed like they only seated people after they complained about the wait. The noise level was overwhelming. Extremely loud. The food and table service was superb. I would have given them 5 stars if it hadn’t been for the wait and noise and those two negatives were so bad, I doubt if we’ll go back.
The food was outstanding, would definitely go back. The noise level was a little loud, could not hear what was being said by waitress or company.
Very good, just always hard to hear conversation
Nice location and beautiful inside. Was pretty loud (energetic). Service was great. Food was good. I had the crab enchiladas - they were a bit salty for my taste, but okay. My brother had the steak enchiladas and loved them. We also had the ceviche, which was very tasty. A little pricy but overall, we enjoyed ourselves and the meal.
Wait time was 25 minutes with an RSVP. FOod good but drinks way over priced
We went here for my husbands birthday. The food was amazing and the cocktails were some of the best we have had. We had chicken enchiladas, tenderloin tacos, and guacamole and queso to start. Everything was delicious! If you like margaritas, I would recommend getting the flight. You get 3 fairly decent sized margaritas for $20! Great place, awesome ambiance, just a little noisy. Overall great experience and would recommend!
Great food and drink. Service was just wonderful. Think our servers name was Kevin and he was on point.
Our waiter was excellent! Great experience and will be back!
Everything was amazing - our server was fantastic and the food and drinks were equally amazing!
The restaurant was very noisy! It was hard to enjoy dinner with my friend because we couldn't hear each other talking.
Great Time celebrating a birthday
It was great! Excellent service and amazing food.
The food and margaritas were great! Unfortunately, the music was way too loud in the restaurant and we could barely hear each other talk. We couldn't even hear our server listing off the recommendations. When we asked the server if it was a better deal to get a pitcher of margaritas, she didn't know the answer. I feel like that would be something a server should know.
My husband and I went to Mexican Sugar on a Friday night and had great food and service. They even seated us just a few minutes after our reservation time and they were packed! The negative about this restaurant is the noise level. We’re in our 40’s and our reservation was at 8pm so I thought it might not be so loud being after the 7-8 dinner hour. But I was wrong. I had a hard time hearing my husband talk.
Excellent experience with the food, drinks, and service. The noise level is my only issue. Could barely hear the person sitting next to me.
The food was fantastic!
I came here for lunch with a friend. The atmosphere was great and the food was AMAZING! I had the Barbacoa tacos and my friend had the Bone in Pork Chop. We also had the Arepas for an appetizer, they were very tasty as well. We were impressed with the flavor of the pork chop, it was cooked to perfection. And the barbacoa was tender, juicy and flavorful. They had an awesome selection of drinks as well. We also had the Chocolate Avocado Cake and it was very good. Overall this was a great experience and I highly recommend it. The only reason I’m not rating it 5 stars is because when we arrived there and were seated, the booth seat they sat us on was broken and we were not given the option to sit at a different table even though the place was pretty much empty. The hostess was just like “Thank you for alerting me” and still left us at the table.
I would come back but not on a Saturday night. We waited a long time to be seated and then couldn’t seem to be served. We did not get the appetizer that was ordered but when we did get our food it was delicious. Our waiter was trying, he had too many tables and needed help.
Wonderful ambiance, excellent waitstaff and great food!
The food was absolutely phenomenal! It seemed a bit of a wait to get our food, but the wait was well worth it! I highly recommend this establishment.
Everyone loved the pork chop! Specialty drinks are very good as well (we had Machete & Margarita of the day)!
Saturday afternoon with the family. Service was great and food was excellent as usual
