Ambiance is very pretty. Food was very good. Service left alot to be desired. Would not be back.
I would never return to this restaurant. We were seated next to a screaming child while every other table was empty. When we asked to move the hostess thought it was funny that we were not happy at our table. We waited so long for a waiter that we almost got up to leave. The hostess then took our order. The waiters had zero personality and it seemed like it was their first day. The food was over cooked or cold. I have never had such a bad meal in Aruba and would never send anyone there or bring my family ever again
We were here two years ago and the food has really gone down hill. The salsa tastes like a marinara. The enchiladas may have been frozen as the chicken looks like it went through a blender and the cheese on top resembles ricotta. The Empanada’s were ground beef in a bagel pocket. I love good Mexican food and this doesn’t even resemble Mexican. It’s hard to find a bad meal in Aruba... this was a HUGE disappointment.
The waiters are super friendly as is all the staff at this hotel. But if you are looking for a good meal, it isn’t here.
The ambience and service were wonderful. The margaritas and table side guacamole were great, however, the main meals weren’t anything spectacular. My kids loved looking at the turtles, koi and swan from our table. We found it to be a neat location but they need to work on their menu.
Great food! Probably the best value for dinner at the Hyatt Regency Aruba. Our server was very nice and attentive!
In one word, Outstanding ... food is delicious and service impeccable ... beautiful restaurant in the Hyatt Hotel sitting on glorious Palm Beach in Aruba ... have gone every year since their grand opening and plan on returning ... sent many friends who've shared our sentiments ... wonderful experience!
Tried it for the first time. Was very good and Fridays is all you can eat fajitas!
The food was very mediocre at best. The ambiance is very nice. Service for a almost empty restaurant was poor as well. The food was over processed and not good
Food was dry and cold. It was all you can eat fajitas- no rice, no beans, tortillas were still and cold.
We were disappointed this time around. The food is average and very expensive for the quality.
food was a bit salty, service was outstanding. Overall, an excellent evening
Food is not worth the price.
Way too pricy. Value not provided for dollar spent. A "Pitcher" of margarita was barely enough for two glasses with ice. Chips were $3 in addition to the guacamole. Total rip off. I have no problem spending money if I'm going to get value for said money. This place did not provide that.
Great service and great food. It was our first night in Aruba and it was beautiful.
Nice atmosphere. Service was slow. Missed the sunset waiting for the check with only 2 tables occupied
great meal and great service
I worried by all the negative reviews on trip advisor
I none of the issues mentioned
The cerviche here is the best on the island. I always go back for the trio!!
Previous on site bar closed. Apparently one service bar services all three restaurants on this level of hotel. One single hi-rise to wait for additional people to arrive. Hostess/server clearly not happy with duties. Kept trying to seat us even though I told her we were waiting for others to arrive. Told her three times. Food ok, standard Mexican faire. Drinks same. Have visited this restaurant many times over past years, will not return. Hotel clearly trying to save money.
Food was mediocre. Chili's chain restaurant is better and I would never intentionally try to eat there.
Not very good food and expensive. The view was stunning at sunset. If you like Mexican food steer clear
Close but no cigar. Over priced and mediocre at best, guess there's a reason why the restaurant only had two tables in it. Lesson learned
The good: the guacamole. Delicious - order one per person as the serving size is tiny . Ours looked so lonely in its small serving bowl. The bad: the completely indifferent service, the mediocre at best food, the sticky tables. The worst: NYC priced margaritas that seemed devoid of any tequila.
Great food and extremely AMAZING food! The table side guacamole was to die for and the service outstanding.
Mexicado in the Hyatt is a very nice room. Mexican food in Aruba is not easy to come by and was a great diversion from the local fare. Everything from the guacamole to dessert was excellent. I highly recommend it for a moderate priced dinner
We went for the all you can eat fajita Friday that comes with a most excellent margarita...decent value...lots of food...even without a second helping of fajitas - they gladly grilled off three large jalapenos to enjoy with the fajitas - even with the initial serving we still had plenty to take home...
We love this restaurant for the fresh ingredients, great Mexican cuisine and ambience.
Will not be going back. You can find better food most anywhere on the island and the wine list is terrible.
Service was poor and chaotic. Started to wonder if they would ever take our order, then wondered if our food and drinks would arrive. Seems to have gone downhill these past few years. Even the guacamole (the highlight!) and the margarita pitchers (small but previously tasty) were disappointing. Next year will try somewhere new.
Food was average at best and overpriced. There are many other better options
Guacamole was great, do NOT get shrimp burrito (overpriced and nacho cheese sauce tasted like canned). Overall, disappointed. The Hyatt (where restaurant is) has stairway leading to maitre d' desk, but after going in at 6:30pm for our reservation, they closed off the stairway with a gate and wouldn't open for us to leave at 7:30pm. Had to go back downstairs, thru other dining rooms, up another stairway, walk around the interior of the Hyatt in order to get out. VERY SCREWED UP!
Great spot with amazing sangria! The ceviche sampler was great as were the empanadas. Romantic spot for 2.
First time at this restaurant. The service was spectacular. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The food, especially their ceviche's and their fried whole red fish was over the top. Highly recommended!
Was there on Friday nights all you can eat fajitas. .service was good...4 pd us ordered the fajitas and were disappointed as the chicken and beef was tough and chewy....overcooked obviously. All at the table had same tough meat. Woukd havw beeen a good value as a Margarita was included with the dinner....but if only the meat was tender it would be a great value. Perhaps the other Mexican choices would have been better
The menu is more traditional but they have a wide variety of specialities to suit a diverse party. The staff were enormously accommodating of my bunch, which included three children under 10. We also had to package some of our food since the portion sizes are generous.
Food is good, clean restaurant , good service . Fresh guacamole is awesome . Expensive for Mexican food !
This was our second time at the restaurant. We were a party of 7. Three of us were on one check and the other four on a second check. On our check we had only one alcohol drink and one appetizer with 3 entrees, no dessert. The pre-tip bill was $220.00. You can imagine our surprise. The waiter brought out all our entrees but one which he forgot to enter in the kitchen. We were all almost done when that entree was finally brought out. I had steak fajitas, ordered the steak medium rare. It was beyond well done to the point of dry and chewy. The restaurant charges a 15% gratuity automatically BUT with a note saying we should give more since the escort gets 12% and the bus boys 3%. THEN they charge a health tax and sales tax. It was ridiculous. Expensive for adequate (at best) food. And watch out for the special martini concoctions the waiter recommends. We ordered one jalpeno martini and almost burned holes in our throats
Although I didn't expect great Mexican food on a Caribbean island, I was shocked at how mediocre the food truly was. You get better Mexican food at chipotle chain quite frankly for a fraction of the cost. We made our one and done appearance, never to return.
After 5 days in Aruba we were hungry for Mexican food or Caribbean food and both were hard to find. Not the best Mexican food I've had - it wasn't spicy at all and there was no "spicy" option. The salsa tasted like marinara sauce. However, the restaurant was lovely, the service was good, the margaritas were excellent and the atmosphere was inviting and fun.
Lovely restaurant but food was mediocre at best
