We’re vegetation’s. The menu we saw online was different than at the restaurant. We ordered fajitas and tacos. All they did was put raw vegetables and peppers and served. One of the worst food and experience we have ever had for the price we paid.
Worst meal In Aruba.
We have been going to Mexicado for years but this recent experience was not what we remember... No longer making fresh margaritas or table side guacamole? Very disappointed.
Mexicado is consistently good. Every entree is excellent and the service is great. Never a bad meal. The salsa is the star
Food was excellent, staff were great! We always make sure to stop here when we come to Aruba.
Best guacamole on the island!
Terrible! The food was bad - lacking in flavor and spices. Far from being Mexican cuisine. The guacamole and the pico de gallo have no salt, lime, jalapeño or cilantro. The tomato sauce they brought was an Italian sauce that would have gone well with pasta, and which was then used on the enchiladas. The fajitas came cold and old - though they were brought in the typical sizzler platter. The ceviche was fermented! We even talked to the manager, though we never complain.
Hyatt should intervene as it is a bad reflection on the hotel.
The restaurant was very good... once we found it. The directions on open table were not correct. The restaurant is in the Hyatt.
It’s hard to call this a Mexican restaurant. The spices were much different (milder) than even an “Americanized” Mexican restaurant. Also, there were some reviews mentioning a tequila bar, but that was closed down 2y ago.
Table guacamole was best part. Mole tasted more like chicken and waffles and very over cooked. Mahi fish taco /pretty sure was frozen fish from somewhere? Staff was nice. I expected better food from the Hyatt based restaurant
All Aruba restaurants now have service charges added to the bill.. ridiculous
Service awful. Waitress unkempt ...never cleaned the table. Food not hot. Guacamole brought out 10 minutes after the chips. We will never go back and we are huge Aruba vacationers.
The environment is stunning. A beautiful place to dine. We really weren’t that hungry so we ordered only two dishes. They did bring chips and salsa to the table to munch on at no charge. The cups were fresh but the salsa was odd. More like tomato sauce with spices. It seemed more Italian than Mexican.
I had the carne asada which was pretty tasty but pricey at $39.
My wife had the fish taco which she said was inedible. The fish did not seem fresh to her she basically had one bite and left everything. When they removed her essentially full plate, they never asked if everything was okay or if she wanted the leftover wrapped to go. Now in fairness the waitress did come over during the meal and asked if everything was ok and my wife didn’t mention her displeasure with her meal.
The good news was the Tres Leche cake we had for dessert was excellent.
So maybe we caught them on a bad night in regards to the fish but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.
Meals are very, very expensive. Service was great.
We were the only ones in the restaurant
Guacamole was canned and no fresh
Excellent food and service. The guacamole is fresh made in front of you. Great experience
We loved our meal at Mexicado! The flood was excellent and the atmosphere was authentic.
Wonderful place, beautiful surroundings and fantastic staff *
Amazing food and ambience
Service was pretty mediocre.
This was a terrible experience. The salsa that they brought to the table was like a pasta sauce, not a Mexican salsa. The rest of the meal was just OK. However, I was sick all night after eating there. I was hoping the chicken was thoroughly cooked. Would never go back. Would have given this no stars if possible.
Horrible food 2 kids 2 adults 200 bucks , not good , not fresh , salsa is like spegheti sauce , no one ate still got charged full amt , told them it’s for birthday and not even a desert or happy bday , go to Taco Bell for ten bucks it’s even better
Average food and really not Mexican. Salsa was almost Italian like and chips from a bag. Do not recommend
Ambiance is very pretty. Food was very good. Service left alot to be desired. Would not be back.
I would never return to this restaurant. We were seated next to a screaming child while every other table was empty. When we asked to move the hostess thought it was funny that we were not happy at our table. We waited so long for a waiter that we almost got up to leave. The hostess then took our order. The waiters had zero personality and it seemed like it was their first day. The food was over cooked or cold. I have never had such a bad meal in Aruba and would never send anyone there or bring my family ever again
We were here two years ago and the food has really gone down hill. The salsa tastes like a marinara. The enchiladas may have been frozen as the chicken looks like it went through a blender and the cheese on top resembles ricotta. The Empanada’s were ground beef in a bagel pocket. I love good Mexican food and this doesn’t even resemble Mexican. It’s hard to find a bad meal in Aruba... this was a HUGE disappointment.
The waiters are super friendly as is all the staff at this hotel. But if you are looking for a good meal, it isn’t here.
The ambience and service were wonderful. The margaritas and table side guacamole were great, however, the main meals weren’t anything spectacular. My kids loved looking at the turtles, koi and swan from our table. We found it to be a neat location but they need to work on their menu.
Great food! Probably the best value for dinner at the Hyatt Regency Aruba. Our server was very nice and attentive!
In one word, Outstanding ... food is delicious and service impeccable ... beautiful restaurant in the Hyatt Hotel sitting on glorious Palm Beach in Aruba ... have gone every year since their grand opening and plan on returning ... sent many friends who've shared our sentiments ... wonderful experience!
Tried it for the first time. Was very good and Fridays is all you can eat fajitas!
The food was very mediocre at best. The ambiance is very nice. Service for a almost empty restaurant was poor as well. The food was over processed and not good
Food was dry and cold. It was all you can eat fajitas- no rice, no beans, tortillas were still and cold.
We were disappointed this time around. The food is average and very expensive for the quality.
food was a bit salty, service was outstanding. Overall, an excellent evening
Food is not worth the price.
Way too pricy. Value not provided for dollar spent. A "Pitcher" of margarita was barely enough for two glasses with ice. Chips were $3 in addition to the guacamole. Total rip off. I have no problem spending money if I'm going to get value for said money. This place did not provide that.
Great service and great food. It was our first night in Aruba and it was beautiful.
Nice atmosphere. Service was slow. Missed the sunset waiting for the check with only 2 tables occupied
great meal and great service
I worried by all the negative reviews on trip advisor
I none of the issues mentioned
The cerviche here is the best on the island. I always go back for the trio!!
