Good food and reasonable value, always a nice dinner. Felt a bit rushed as they are closing earlier (Open Table did not seem to know this) and the servers were hovering a bit too closely. It did not ruin the dinner but it was uncomfortable.
The service was awful. I apologize for my friend who was not nice to the waitress. I’m sorry
Every bite was amazing!!!
Two great meals in two weeks. Very impressive. Oysters and duck entree (medium rare, as requested) were my favorite.
We celebrate our anniversary there and love it! Last night, we were there with 2 other friends as well. There was a table for 4 next to us and they were incredibly rude and loud. They graciously moved us into a private room.
We highly recommend it!!!!
Never had a bad meal there. Says it all!
Had our Thanksgiving dinner there. Food was delicious, service was excellent (not rushed)and surroundings were very nice.
Great food and service could not have asked for a better experience
This is our go to place for any special celebration. Last night my birthday. We were so happy to have George, our favorite server, working a very busy evening. Food is always exceptional and there is a new menu. We started with shrimp cocktail, and the 4 crustaceans were huge. The sauce is exactly to our liking with horseradish. We both chose ravioli, a real departure from our usual halibut pick. DH had the crab and I chose the butternut squash. In each the sauce was exquisite. We both cleaned our plates. All washed down with a favor, Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc. The maitre d, Jose, is to be recognized for his ability to real all customers and make you feel like the most important client. We really appreciate this personal touch.
Overall great time
My favorite restaurant in New Jersey. Food is always great
Our waiter, John, was wonderful. Everyone at our table of 8 enjoyed their dinners immensely. Guests had everything from pasta, halibut, NY strip to duck brest. It was a delightful evening!
Good food and good service , lights kept flickering was a little distracting
Great evening. Food and drinks were excellent.
The service and food was phenomenal at Metuchen Inn. The atmosphere was so unique and definitely a highlight of our visit to the area for business. We will definitely be making plans to come back!
I cant say for certain bur the tables were lined up on one side of the wall. Im pretty sure they used to be a different set up. with the new set up it just makes very little room in between the tables. It’s very uncomfortable when your bag keeps falling off the chair from someone passing by Or when the waitress is serving a drink and she cant reach to you. Its just very tight. Overall the service from marianne was good. She was a little forgetful at times but it appeared that she was the only one handling several tables at once. She did maintain a good attitude about serving our group of 4. Food quality was consistent. The dirty martini’s were well made. I found it strange that they served Gin and tonic on a taller glass than I would normally see it. This diluted the alcohol which made it seem like a weak drink. The fig dessert was nothing special. The seasonal items of pumpkin gnocchi and squash ravioli are enjoyable but very small portions.
This is a good place to go for a special meal. Unique and delicious dishes.
My wife & I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Metuchen Inn. Service has always been impeccable. Food is delicious. As a fine dining restaurant it is one of our favorites.
Very consistent good food.
Always a pleasure to dine at the inn
We dined hear on a Sunday evening. It was very quiet, but we like that. Our server was a bit of a Dingaling. Felt like she was either new or not interested. However, the food was delicious. The lamb
was perfectly done as was the special haddock . We would certainly come back.
Atmosphere, service and food were absolutely the best. Highly recommend!
Excellent service & food!
Great experience nice mood nice staff and great food!
Great food , service and atmosphere. Love the outdoor dining. Our “go to” spot. Thank you Metuchen Inn
Great place for a special occasion.
We were able to dine outside since it was a mild day
A wonderful restaurant.
Great food and a beautiful space for outside dining.
Lovely outdoor lunch.
We were the only diners eating outdoors and the staff was very accommodating, bringing out a fire pit and checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable. Everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. It was a memorable dinner.
We always have an excellent meal & the staff are all amazingly friendly & accommodating! Love the Metuchen Inn
Our waiter Alexander was outstanding. Food was also outstanding. Worth our drive of 1 hour and 15 minutes
Metuchen Inn's menu is delicious and diverse! Their outdoor dining area is romantic and charming. It always exceeds expectations.
Very nice food and good servers
We really enjoyed our lunch and stayed longer than expected. The Buccattino was excellen
We go here a lot for business lunches - the restaurant never disappoints
Wonderful dining experience, The octopus and eggplant appetizers were delicious, as were the duck and scallop entrees.
Everything was perfect with the exception of the music was a bit too loud. Upon request, they did lower it. We couldn’t hear each other talk. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.
