Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge Ratings and Reviews
We arrived early, the restaurant was ours. My wife commented that the party would follow. No sooner did Rachel take our drink order that others started to fill the restaurant.
Our server for the evening was Rachel, she was outstanding. Her knowledge of the cocktail menu, beer selections and dinner menu was outstanding. At her recommendation, we started with Tuna Poke, Brussel Sprouts and Wings. All were outstanding. Our dinner entrees were the seared scallops and dinner special crab & shrimp scampi. Both entrees were flavorful and great selections.
Rachel surprised us with the dessert special to mark our anniversary. The raspberry ice cream dessert was decadence.
Rachel was instrumental in making our 1st dining experience at the Metropolitan exceptional.
We look forward to returning for another great meal.
The food was very tasty and the service was quick and very friendly. To the latter point, my father-in-law tripped on his way to the restroom and staff were right there, wanting to be as helpful as possible. I hope to go there again on upcoming trips to Annapolis.
We chose this restaurant because of its Saturday night availability and location for a group of 10 people to go after a Navy football game. We were very pleased with the menu selections and enjoyed a delicious meal - salads, flatbreads, chicken, salmon, burgers, creme brûlée - everything was amazing! And the service was outstanding! We highly recommend!
Note - There is a parking garage right behind the restaurant which makes parking easy.
Chill scene, great acoustic vibe, gourmet menu that did not disappoint, relaxing atmosphere that upscale minus the pretentious... Cajun chicken sandwich was the best sandwich I’ve ever had... wife had seared scallops that were cooked to perfection... you can’t go wrong!
Based on the reviews we opted to go to the Cafe and were quite glad we did. A very nice young bar scene of professional class in Annapolis. The quality of the food for a cafe Bistro was excellent. The drinks were very good as well as the service.
My father and I went there on a Thursday evening. The noise level in the back room was FAR too loud and people were having exceptionally loud conversations. Way past the conversational tone. Our server was a low voice person. With both of those issues combatting each other my father had to ask her to repeat herself several times. The food was great. The noise level took away from completely enjoying the meal.
