Metro North Ratings and Reviews
The service was very slow. I brought my team in for lunch at 11:30. There were 7 of us and we weren't served our appetizers until 45 minutes later. We were one of the few folks in the restaurant at the time. The server wasn't very attentive. She served the wrong drink/food to the wrong folks-we corrected it ourselves. The food is very good. I enjoy the Manchego Salad each time I come here. The bread pudding was delicious.
We felt rushed from the start, despite having a reservation. Unimpressed with red wine options, prices. Martini made incorrectly despite instructions. Unable to accommodate salad preference. Noisy. Food ok, nothing special. Overall, a big disappointment. It’s on our boycott list for now.
I am a "regular" and wouldn't be if this restaurant didn't meet all standards. It's reliably good as far as food goes, nice variety...you can have a burger, sandwich, chicken, pasta, steak, pizza, fish, etc.....plus Joanne is the best waitress ever...always ask for her section. Sangria is good and atmosphere is nice. It can sometimes get loud in the way back near the windows, especially on a Saturday night if a big group is drinking, but otherwise no complaints from me. I will return again soon.
Our group has been here before and enjoy the food . I always have recommended it for a party or large group to family and friends This time we were a group of four and disappointed with the crab cake sandwich, which was not at par. Too much extenders, could hardly taste the crab. Pudding dessert was too sweet. Overall service was also below expectation. So sad
FIRST TIME DINERS THERE WITH ANOTHER COUPLE. NICE MENU SELECTION; PORTIONS WERE GOOD SIZE, NOT OVER PLENTIFUL SO NO TAKE HOME BAGS. WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN. VERY NICE DINING AREA, THERE WERE SEVERAL SMALL DINING ROOMS WHICH OVERLAPPED WHICH MADE IT NICE AND MORE INTIMATE. EASY TO GET TO OFF RT1 AND PLENTY OF PARKING.
We came to visit with our student son and his roommate before the Princeton football game. We love that there is parking and that the restaurant is not in the center of town. The surf and turf special was tender and delicious and the perfect portion size. Reservations highly recommended.
We eat in Princeton quite a bit on football weekends. There are lots of great restaurants to choose from, but we keep coming back to metro North as a "go to". The menu has everything you could want from seafood and steaks to great italian. Very consistent and the staff is great. We have now gotten into a habit of ordering the same things as they are worth coming back for! My husband is cooking Chicken Francaise tonight at home because i always order Veal Francaise here! Joyce & Dawn are great!
We have gone to Metro North many times. This time the food was really off. The turkey special was so bad the waitress took it off the bill. I've ordered the tuna many times. This time the wasabi was so strong I had to cut it off. The other two meals were just barely ok.
I will try it again because I have always liked it.
I'll give it one more chance
Overall it was very nice, but the food was a bit ... predictable. There was nothing wrong with it, and the tastes were good to very good, but the group I assembled is just used to about 1/2 notch higher on food quality and elegance. But as mentioned, overall a good value and spot. Thanks!
