Metro North Ratings and Reviews
So glad Metro North came to town! Reminiscent of the original Rusty Scupper- has a neighborhood feel- you may run into friends at any time which is what happened this past visit. Everyone is friendly and service attentive. Great cocktails, delicious food, lively atmosphere.
Valentines Day 2018. We went here with friends, and had a terrific meal. Good fish choices, since it was also Ash Wednesday! Great service, prompt service, all in all, a great meal! Will definitely return!
One thing - Wi-Fi is terrible in this restaurant, which normally wouldn't matter, but we couldn't connect to our Puppy Cam during the meal to check on our furbaby.
We were disappointed that you did not have the regular menu ( and just add additional specials for Valentine's Day). Did not see anything your restaurant web site that there would be a different menu that night. We were planning on having a few things from the regular menu.
We went to Metro North for our anniversary. The food was delicious. I had a very nice cocktail made with vodka and a variety of fruit juices -- can't remember the name). My husband and I shared the bleu cheese and walnut salad which was excellent. My husband enjoyed his veal marsala and I had an excellent flounder and shrimp primavera. We shared a raspberry cheese cake for dessert which was delicious. We went on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy. Nonetheless we got a table within 10 minutes of our reservation time and the service was polite and acceptable in terms of speed. The main limitation of our experience was that it was very loud -- in part because the restaurant as a whole was very busy and also because the people at the table next to us had very loud voices and even louder laughs. It might be better not to go on a Saturday night if possible.
Rushed out of the restaurant. We were hardly there for 40 mins. Mind you that we ordered drinks, apps, and main courses. Not two minutes after getting the our appetizers the main courses came out. After 6 minutes with my meal they started clearing the table. In was asked 4 times if I was done with my good. Mind you my fork was still in hand the whole time. I may understand trying to be efficient with table usage at peak hours but at 530 on a Sunday with 60% if the place empty it was just bad.
Been there many times, place was very loud. Meal was ok, nothing special. Ordered a burger, it came out with cheese on it from another persons burger at my table. Waiter took it back, and returned with the same burger, but wiped the cheese off in the kitchen.
Unacceptable, that they would have the nerve to do that. no apolgies.
will not be returning.
We had a really bad experience at this restaurant.. and it was. not just us, also two tables of folks around us were also having problems. Not much positive to say, food was meh, service was rude, ambiance was non-existent. There are much better options for dining out in Princeton.
Food was delicious and service was great. The waiter was a little too aggressive. Kept coming over a filling glasses with wine without asking if we wanted more. When we requested to substitute an item in the menu he didn’t mention that there was an additional charge. When one person ordered a salad that was meant for 2 he didn’t tell us that. So be careful and ask questions. This water was slick.
It was great to have a simple and early New Years Eve dinner here with my husband. We came at just the right time before the NYE revelers came to the bar. Service was excellent and super professional, the food was hot, fresh, good quality and tasty. It was nice to have our last meal of the year here.
My husband and I tried this for the first time. The eggplant tower appetizer was very good. My husbands pork chop was great but the jumbo crab meat pasta was lacking flavor. Service was polite but there was a big lull between appetizer and meal where we needed drinks and an update on our food and that it was delayed.
