Messhall Kitchen

We had a shared bbq plate for 2 called “smalls” or “littles” (can’t remember) but it was OUTSTANDING. 2 people can’t finish it but that’s fine too. (We took the rest to go) Came with all the sides and let me say one more time…it was fabulous.

Food was solid. Service was excellent! Our server was very friendly and safe.

This place is awesome and the service is fantastic.

We had the grilled oysters and the messburgers. Both were very delicious! I opted for sweet potato fries, hubby had regular ones, both were delicious. Nice to have a restaurant that serves fresh and delicious oysters!

Great value for our group! I’ve only ever come here for brunch but loved the dinner as well!

Very good food as usual, salads, friend chicken were awesome, kids liked their meals.
Grilled oysters were just so-so, get raw instead.

Everything we ordered was delicious starting with the oysters and kale caesar salad. The short ribs and the prime rib were top notch too.

Due to the pandemic, seating is restricted to outside dining only. I was happy to find a place that even had this so it is hard to fault them at all here. I think due to the traffic noise level I would opt to return when there is inside dining available as well. The brunch menu was a bit limited but the food quite good.

Outdoor dining at mess hall was wonderful. The outdoor area they have added is really nice and the food is very good though you will need a nap afterward! Big portions. Their Brussel sprouts are delicious.
I enjoyed their margaritas and oysters too.

Messhall delivered a great dining experience during this time of pandemic.
I stuck to my favorites the ribs with fries and coleslaw.
Home run delicious.Also a classic old fashion cocktail that was outstanding and delicious!

Messhall is doing a great job of ensuring safety during this time of COVID. The tables are set up at reasonable distance from each other. All servers wear masks and face shields and the host takes your temperature upon arrival which increases my sense of safety. The food was delicious. Possibly better than I remember it. The Salmon with Broccolini and sweet potato coulis could not have been better. I will be back again and again.

First time and will definitely go back. Their biscuits are absolutely to die for! Very good service!

Messhall is a longtime favorite and they have been following strict protocols from what I've seen from when they re-opened. Tables are clean, ordering is via app (no hard menus), distancing is observed. They've opened an additional dining patio in the parking lot in addition to the historic Car Cafe patio which is set off the street, thus quieter than some of the other patios I've been to. Great job, Messhall!
