Excellent food. I highly recommend this for dinner or before catching a show on Broadway.
I love the garlic soup and the shrimp in garlic sauce here!
Our table was ready on time, the service was attentive. We all enjoyed our pre-show dinners.
Went to Broadway show. Service was very fast. Price was reasonable and food was great . I’d go back again.
I had arroz con pollo. My wife had paella. The both were large servings of very well prepared food. I rank Meson Sevilla as a happy find in the Theater District.
Our server sent the wrong order on 3 different items. We ordered the filet mignon and we were served something else. Worst experience at a restaurant.
Overall excellent food and service. We came back her to eat because of the tapas, service and food. Pork was excellent but chorizo was only so so. Artichokes to die for. Huge desserts. As heard on TV, 'try it you will like it.'
As I spent an earlier part of my life living in Sevilla, Spain, this was just like being back home! The service was outstanding, the food could not have been any more authentic, and the atmosphere was perfect! I would highly recommend the Paella Valenciana. Would highly recommend for all to experience! LOVED IT! Can't wait to return very soon!
very attentive, food was delicious (aroz con pollo) (paella) (skirt steak) everyone was happy with their meal. We were early for our reservation, sat us immediately. What I loved was that our entire party had not arrived all together but I was still seated, and was able to have a drink at the table while waiting.
Had a pre-theater dinner at Meson Sevilla. The menu had both Spanish and Italian cuisine on it. The food, ambiance, service were all very good. I'd go back for another dinner.
Sisters visit from Florida and New Jersey! We wanted to eat light before the broadway show. Tapas is the way to go. Everyone loved their choices! We left room for dessert.
We haven't returned for a few years, and happy to say it's still an impressive meal! I had the filet (tender, well seasoned and cooked perfectly) and my wife had the gambas a la plancha, both were excellent. I also judge a restaurant on the quality of the entire plate, and the vegetables served were also very well prepared. Only mistake we made, we only ordered the small picture of Red Sangria, should have ordered the large one, it's the best Sangria in the city!
This was our second visit to Meson Sevilla. We thoroughly enjoyed both of our visits. The waiter remembered us ("You're sitting at the same table!"), and our service was expert and prompt. For our first visit, we came after a Wednesday matinee and were able to take our time and linger over various tapas. This time, we came before an evening performance and mentioned that to our server. We loved our tortilla espanol served with our cocktails and then enjoyed our paella. We finished our meal with cafe con leche and a cortado and had plenty of time to walk over to the theater. Perfect!
Enjoyed my first trip to this conveniently located Spanish restaurant in the theatre district. My friend and I shared 4 tapas plates and one dessert. Beef empanadas were excellent. The shrimp in salsa verde was not the Mexican salsa verde I am accoustomed to, nevertheless was quite flavorful and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. I can enjoy eating here again.
Everything we ordered was delicious and portion sizes were decent. Service was superb.
On a Tuesday evening, we had reservations for a party of 4, but found that the restaurant was fairly empty. Had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. While the food we ordered was good, the service was very poor. We must have been seated 20 minutes before I could get someone's attention to order drinks. Then another 15 minutes to order our food. While the food was served promptly after ordering, I cannot recommend this restaurant because the service is really bad.
Not a good dining experience at all.. Had to hunt our server down to take our order and my friend had to get up out of her chair to find out server b/c there was a gold flake in her drink..We were served our food by what I’m assuming is the kitchen staff and we never saw our server again..The food was good, but the service was terrible, and I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone
Meson Sevilla never fails to give an authentic taste of Spain. The food was great and the service just right: not too much, not too little. Highly recommend.
They have authentic Spanish food. Their staff was very attentive and the food was delicious! We didn't have to wait long to get it and we were starving so our bellies were happy afterwards!
So we'll definitely be back! And they also have Spanish beer which is awesome!
This is a gem on Restaurant row on West 46th st. Enjoy an evening before or after a Broadway play just a couple blocks from the theater district. You won't be disappointed!
The service was very poor. I had to ask the waiter at least three times before I got a glass of wine. The food was good once it finally came. We had multiple servers in the course of a short dinner. The staff was very dismissive and inattentive.
When we arrived, the host looked past us to other diners without reservations, even though we had made reservations well ahead of time.
I would not eat at this restaurant again.
We enjoyed our meal and had plenty of time to get to the theater and not feel rushed
Service was very good, servers were attentive and the food was delicious. We advised the server that we had a show to make and he assured us we would not have a problem. He was true to his word. All went well. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Two friends and I went to Meson Sevilla for a pre-theatre dinner on our weekend trip to NYC. We got their white wine sangria, an order of paella, several different tapas, and tiramisu for dessert. All the food was fantastic, service was timely, and the wait staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. This will be my go-to dinner destination for all future trips to NYC.
We enjoyed our meal very much! We had a group of 7 and ordered several dishes to share from the tapas menu as well as a large bowl of paella. Everything was delicious! Would definitely visit again!
The paella Valencia was fair. My friend had fish and enjoyed it.
Very good overall. Great seafood paella.
I enjoy this restaurant prior to the theater. The service is prompt and the food is excellent. If eating prior to the theater it is very important that reservations be made well in advance. I have eaten here several times and the quality of food and service is consistent. I particularly enjoy the veal dishes which are well priced.
Good service. Food was good
Went there after the theater....celebrating our wedding anniversary in NYC. , tapas were delicious, very good selection of items, plenty to share each plate with my wife. Not busy since it was late..10 pm, very cosy atmosphere...very attentive staff. A very enjoyable experience!!
The waiter was good and so was dinner.
Went there due to proximity to the theater.
This place never disappoints. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is always top-notch, and you can easily get in and out in an hour right before a Broadway show.
The service is not good. The food is just average.
Great Selection of Tapas, and delicious too. Paella was amazing!
Waiter was slow to engage so there was a delay in placing drink and food orders. Once he “noticed” us service was fine with friendly and accommodating staff. Caldo Gallego, gazpacho and gambas al ajillo were all very good. Paella Valenciana could have used a bit more saffron, but otherwise portion size, quantity of ingredients (seafood, chicken, chorizo), presentation and degree of cooking were all spot on.
Convenient to theaters. very good Spanish food, although this time we had only seafood. The Chilean sea bass with shellfish was perfectly prepared, tasty, and was a good portion size. The lemon chicken was also very good. I had a glass of sangria that was excellent.
WAIT STAFF FRIENDLY, FOOD VERY GOOD, GOOD VALUE, GOOD LOCATION
The ambiance is cheerful, the staff is available and attentive, and the food was delicious. We highly recommend the champagne sangria too!
Food was exceptional and the service was wonderful. The paella was better than one I had in Barcelona.
Great Spanish food and atmosphere! Excellent and friendly service. This is a great opportunity for a paella outside Spain.
My group of 6 have been to this restaurant many times, and it never fails to disappoint. We all had the same dish, shrimp plancha which was as tasty as always. We always look forward to having sangria, and the dessert. We were lucky this time because due to the weather we had the restaurant all to ourselves!
