Took my wife there for the traditional pre-show dinner. It was an icy snowy night and the place was understandably empty, so we lucked out!. The room was nice-warm colors, cozy- a little tight but hey, this is NYC! We ordered a couple of rounds of Tapas: Grilled sardines, chorizo in red wine, calamari, shrimps w/ garlic, filet mignon. All excellent! Washed it all down with a bottle of Larchago Reserva which was awesome. Enjoyed a couple of Espresso's and split a crema de Catalana for desert. The service was respectable; they were attentive; always available and not at all hovering over us. The prices were fair, even for the wine which was a reserve. Overall i would really recommend this place, especially on slow nights as you should not be in a rush to enjoy Tapas in my opinion.
Solid place to eat, great variety of different good, excellent staff and service.
Meson Sevilla was great. Awesome atmosphere and very conveniently close to all Broadway show theaters. Will definitely be back again!
This place turned out to be perfect for date night. The service was great - they were very attentive - and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the Paella Valenciana. More than anything, I really enjoyed the ambiance. It was cozy and intimate, which I couldn't have appreciated more. I would love to go back.
This place was cozy and delicious. It's very tight but the taste of the food makes up for it.
Good food , good location , good service , good value .
Good food, good taste. Everything was awesome. Great place to make a meet or a date.
Never fails to delight. Great food, portions fine for sharing, charming service.
Caldo Gallego is impressive. Jamon pata negra less good. In any case, very good restaurant
Meson Sevilla is one of my favorite NYC restaurants. It is so cute and has the atmosphere of an old fashion intimate New York restaurant. The service is very attentive without being over bearing. The food is excellent and reasonably priced.
We love the paella for 2
wonderfully authentic!! the wine list was lovely and the tapas was amazing.....particularly the chorizo!
Once again our choice for pre-theater. Their prix fixe lunch is great - wonderful soup (or salad), entree (eggplant rollatini for me), dessert, coffee, glass of wine. Well worth the $24.95! Food was great, service good, location perfect.
The waiter..a young gentleman was not very friendly. He chastised us for not ordering more food and kept saying it won’t be enough. The food was bland and not great quality. I’ve eaten at s lot of Tapas restaurants and this seemed like “fast food”..I guess because of the location near the theaters, people don’t have a choice if they want a quick, relatively inexpensive meal but I expect better.
We had several tapas and sangria which were all delicious! We will be back!
food was good but the Paella was bland to say the least.
Very happy with our meal at Meson Sevilla. We were going to the theatre and the waiter was very prompt with our meal. Food came out delicious and hot. Waiter forgot our first courses but offered them with our main course. We accepted the salads but declined the soup at that point.
It was very busy so all in all, a very nice experience.
Restaurant is very small so tables are close together and it's a bit noisy but I would go back.
Good food, service was good although the entrees came out and we were still working on appetizers, i don’t recall if there was any music playing - ambience good. Considering it looked like a small place, it was comfortable and not at all the perception from the outside.
Tasty and varied tapas menus, prompt, friendly and attentive service, lively Saturday evening ambiance. What's not to like? Maybe only that the jamon iberico was too pricey so we passed.
During our annual birthday night out, my friends and I made reservations here for a dinner before a show. The restaurant is within walking distance of the show and also directly across the street from a parking garage so it was very convenient in many aspects.
When we arrived, we were promptly seated but from there the service was fair but the food certainly made up for it.
Excelente la comida del restaurante, el servicio impecable. Precios elevados pero acordes a la calidad de la comida. Recomendado 100%
Cute cozy little place! Food is delicious! Fantastic sangria!
We just returned from a trip to Barcelona and were thrilled to have found a restaurant that was on the level of the wonderful restaurants we frequented. Everything came out hot and was delicious! And they got us out in time for the show we were going to see!
Most enjoyable. Great prefix dinner and many choices. Warm and hospitable service. Will surely return.
Service was good, My friend and I were disappointed with the food. Mine was adequate, but she was not happy at all with her meal. I was the one that suggested this restaurant so I was a little embarrassed that the food was just adequate. I was there a few years ago and I remember I thought it was much better. I don't think I will be going back to this restaurant. There are so many to choose from in this area.
We arrived at 7:00pm on a Monday night to find a nearly empty restaurant. But not to worry. The staff was charming & efficient. I started with a delicious house made sangria to accompany my spinach salad. Portion size was large with the freshest of ingredients. My friend & I shared a Paella Valencia loaded with shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, chorizo & chicken legs.
The seafood was cooked just right & the saffron rice was perfect. We ended our meal with special coffee drinks & split a simple cinnamon rice pudding. This was a great find & so reasonably priced under a $100 for two.
They didn’t honor our reservation. The place was jam packed and there were many others walking in line with a 6 o clock reservation. It didn’t look like we’d be seated any time soon so we left. Very disappointing!
I am very disappointed that OpenTable would even have this restaurant on its’ list. When we arrived at this restaurant, the entry way and halfway into the bar area were packed with others who had made a 6 PM reservation. We stood there for 15 minutes and my daughter finally called the restaurant to say that we were there and waiting and they replied that there were no tables because people were still sitting there after their dinner. To which my daughter said, “you should tell them they have to leave if they are finished eating”. They hung up on her. Then she went to the bar to speak to the bartender and he said, “there is nothing we can do”. Meanwhile, we had 8 o’clock theater tickets!!! We ended up at a bar and sandwich place just so we could get something to eat before we had to rush off. I will be very reluctant to use OpenTable in New York again. This was a special weekend we had made plans for. Very disappointing!
Was able to get a reservation on short notice. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful. Many choices and a nice selection of tapas in the menu. Food was great!
Lo mejor es la atención de “Los Adolfo’s” papá e hijo y los muchachos que trabajan con ellos, además de las tapas que TODAS son fenomenales.
We are 30 something Manhattanites. The occasion was pre theatre dining. We had the paella and an abundance of small plates with the Ribera del Duero tinto. Paella was legitimately great, small plates were all good. Price / value was great probably because they have to compete with all of the other pre theatre options. In another hood, that meal is 50% more expensive.
Nice value on restaurant row. Deliciius paella and huge portion!
A wonderful Spanish restaurant with tasty food and something for everyone!! The staff are friendly and the service was quick!! It’s very convenient to the theater district too!!!
nice to have fish and veggie options nice prix fix menu for pre matinee including wine hot drink and dessert
Was pleasant, good paella
The food was good, not fabulous. My mussels as first course were the best part: plump and juicy. My grilled shrimp was over done. Too long on the grill, too dry. The dessert flan was very mediocre. Even the ice cream was better than the flan! My friend had the vegetable paella which she said was fairly tasteless. The other diner had the chicken franchise which she really enjoyed.
My disappointment came when the waiters disregarded my notation that it was my birthday. I even told them as we were seated. It was a special event, and they ignored it until one of my table mates reminded them. Then they brought over a candle and stuck it in my half eaten flan. Very unprofessional. All this while the big noisy table at the end of the room also celebrated a birthday, and the waiters were much more attentive.
So the true answer to would I recommend the restaurant is MAYBE...
The meal was great but the noise level was deafening.
Great food. They move really.fast and for the location very reasonable.
