Food was very good, service was prompt. Would def recommend.
We walked in and 4 hosts were standing at the stand and not a single one said hello, asked us anything or even acknowledged we had walked in other than glancing at us and looking away. I had a reservation that they didn’t even bother to look at that I had made because we were celebrating something.
The entrees themselves were pretty good, but the sides were all so bland. Like our ancestors didn’t start entire wars over spices. For a $70 dinner I’d expect a lot more flavor than something I could get deep in the suburbs of a Midwest town.
Salmon and Brussels sprouts were excellent
The food is always great at Meso Maya. I am partial to the budin azteca, which never disappoints. Great drink selection, too. The location is great - this is our go-to dinner place when we go downtown for Stars games. The service is fantastic, as well.
Came into town from San Antonio and had dinner with my three kids and fiancé.
Great food and great company.
Ordered the enchiladas Del Mar, the green sauce was overpowering and the enchiladas had an extremely fishy taste (was expecting more of the sweet crab flavor). Wait staff was professional but the hostess put us in a bit of a cubby and it seemed we were forgotten about.
I would like to give the place a second chance but it’s on the bottom of the list for the downtown Dallas area for now.
Great pre-show dinner!
Food was very good and had a few interesting menu items not typical to standard Mexican restaurants. The service was not great and we waited too long for refills on beverages.
First off I tried to call 3 times to change reservation time and no one answered. Got there about 10 minutes late and got seated right away. Ordered chips and queso and waited 25 minutes for it to be brought out. When our food was brought out an hour after we were seated the queso poblano enchiladas were lukewarm and the carne asada that was ordered medium rare was well done. I have eaten at this location several times and the Plano location multiple times as well. The food is NEVER served hot. My guess is it either sits and gets cold waiting for the servers or it isn’t kept at the proper temperature prior to serving. The manager brought out 2 other carne asada plates right away, all well done. This tells me the carne asada is precooked and they just heat it up prior to serving. The meat now is so thin that when they warm it up it overcooks. The 4th took longer and was brought out medium rare. In all fairness the waiter was doing all he could and the manager did COMP our meal. I’m not sure what was going on last night, but hopefully it was just a fluke. Supposedly one of the part owners was there last night. They should stay away.
This was a very nice place for a business lunch.
Horrible service. The server was rude, super late and treated my family so disrespectful.
I come here at least twice a week but I will not be coming back due to the bad experience.
Our meal was amazing and Diana was so helpful and friendly. Everything tasted fantastic. We will definitely make it a point to come back when we're in Dallas again.
After being seated and waiting over 10mins for someone, anyone, to greet us, a manger finally asked had we been helped, and after replying, "No", he finally brought us water. Once we finally got our food, there was a metal twist tie in my food and the waiter made a joke about it and said, "Again?". That was not funny because I actually chewed the metal twist tie. My meal was taken care of, of course, but my wife felt uncomfortable and was unable to continue her meal because she ordered the same entrée, however, her meal was not taken care of, the manager did not come by, no one apologized, and it was not brought up again,
Meso maya is the best Mexican I’ve ever had in my life!!!!!!! 10/10 recommend!!!!!!!!!
A lively, young spot for fine Mex food. The service people were knowledgable and helpful. The food came out quickly and efficiently which was good, because we were hungry.
Food and service was excellent. The energy level of the restaurant added to the positive experience. Great overall!
Best restaurant and food was tasty. It was my boyfriend birthday and they made hin have a greta time. They gave him the cake he loved that detail. Thank you
Always delicious food, drinks, and solid service! A great place to eat before an AA Center event!
This place is soon good. The food and drinks are perfect. I will definitely be back!
Polite and courteous servers who were all very attentive. The food was delicious and just enough spice. When I come back into town I certainly will come to dinner again.
Fun restaurant. The margaritas were very good although a little weak. The patio was a fun place to sit and more conducive for talking than inside. Dishes were pretty good but it took us a very long time for the server to take our order. We actually had to get up to find him.
The service was great & very accommodating. I would definitely good back.
Our waiter wasn’t very attentive and the music was a little loud. I’ve eaten here several times and always had a good experience. Tonight was a little subpar.
The food and beverages were very good. Service was a little slow and at times wait staff was not actively checking on guests.
Food was great, service was not. The server was a bit rude and didn’t check on us, nor give us water when we asked. He also pointed at the tip line on the receipt as if we didn’t know how to tip? We were leaving cash. It was very strange. I did love the ambiance and the cultural dining experience.
Excellent Mayan-Mexican cuisine in an upbeat, casual setting.
Seated a big group of us, we had a lot of fun. Wait staff were nice, if a little slow at times. Could be because of the size of the group though. Overall enjoyed ourselves
Great food and service! The mole was authentic and tasty! The cocktails were good
Great place with terrific menu, but food should have been hotter....
Waited over a hour for food. After an hour and a half and I had somewhere to be, I cancelled my order paid for 3 drinks and then they tried to serve my food. Only two people and we both ordered tacos.
Tried and true! Never misses
Food was bland and there was a large chicken bone in my food
Try the Burdin Azteca Chicken, a great dish that you won't get elsewhere
Food was delicious but came out warm, not hot.
Service was a bit slow and food was served fairly cold.
Great food, great prices, great service from Gerardo.
We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop by. The food and service were satisfactory. I’ve had better margaritas. Overall It was okay!
Food was not as good as I remembered. I had enchiladas and they were very so so. The queso was like water! So very thin.......
Nice waiter but not the most attentive. I had to call him out to come back and take a drink order.
I really think waiters need to take a glance at their tables when walking by.....
We really enjoyed our dinner at Meso Maya. Would recommend to others!
Had dinner prior to attending The Eagles Concert at the American Airlines Center. Chef prepares authentic Mexican cuisine. Large variety of menu items, margaritas and tequilas. Food was excellent. Service was excellent, attentive and knowledgeable of menu. Location was within walking distance to concert venue. Highly recommend and will return.
