I highly recommend the Mushroom Streudel entree (add a protein for sure). Start things off with the Brussels Au Gratin, served on crispy crostini. Delicious!
We had reservation but upon arrival our table was not ready. We were offered a table in the bar or we could wait. Since we had tickets to the theater we opted for the bar. It was fairly open when we arrived and it’s a nice area so we didn’t mind. We were greeted immediately & our server said she would be right back. She did and took our drink order. A while passed and another server came to take over we had to reorder our drinks...long story short, food was delicious but service was so-so and food took forever. Others who sat down and ordered after us ate before us. Especially since we had reservations and they asked if we needed to get out for the show.
Show at the Murat
Will at the bar and Crystal our server were amazing!
Was very disappointed we were sat in the bar section. We came from out of town for a special occasion. It was Extremely loud! Could barely carry a conversation. Had to almost yell at each other. Wanted quiet and relaxing! No such thing there. Also was very cold at our table. Had to keep my coat on during dinner. Asked at that we not be sat by the door but was still cold. Food was good. Very happy with the steak. Sides could have been better. Also no martini menu.
Even though we arrived late for our reservation, we were accommodated and the staff and server were attentive to getting us served in time for theater. Meal was outstanding, everything was brought fairly quickly without being rushed, and was delicious.
Service was outstanding. I enjoyed the dining experience very much
We were seated next to two very large, rambunctious tables and it ruined our date. The waiter did not come for 15 minutes so we ended up leaving
Mesh was fantastic! Great food & great service.
Great place for a nicer birthday dinner. Definitely a bit loud
We had dined here before, but it had been a few years ago. The food was okay, but very rich and the price points were high. The drinks were more than the dinner. Once the restaurant was crowded, the room became very noisy. We do not prefer to dine with all of that cacophony.
However, our biggest shock that evening was the parking situation. Wow, were we shocked to find out that street parking was a pay system, very confusing. Years ago, one could park for free in downtown Indianapolis after 6 p.m. NOT anymore. For that very reason, we will NOT be returning to Mesh, it was a MESS! And the hostess on duty that evening would not even help us with the crazy parking system. Too bad......
Food and service were great! My only concern was that the restaurant acoustics make it very difficult to have a conversations as the noise from the other tables is loud.
My husband & I were excited to visit Mesh again. I’ve dined here many times and have always been complete satisfied! Out last visit was not so great. We were first seated at a table with not even enough light to read the menu, the very kind waitress moved us to another table but this one we right under an air vent. We stayed at this table. The calamari was delish as was my husbands lamb shank. I ordered the mushroom strudel w/ a side of shrimp. The shrimp were way over cooked and the strudel was so dry. Also ordered a beer and it finally came at the end of our meal.
Very good. Asked for dining room but seated in the bar. Still very nice.
Wait staff was excellent, food was excellent, wine list was great. We were originally scheduled for the dinner area and moved to the bar area, it was exceedingly loud. Might have just been the table close by who was really loud but they echoed.
First time there and was very pleased! Great service and food!
The pork chop, duck and lamb were excellent. Brussel sprout appetizer was a real hit. Service was great.
The service and food was perfect. I cannot wait to go back, we came for brunch and it was fantastic.
The Savor Indy menu was very good and a good value. Service was poor this time, server was slow with water refills, our plates from each course were not taken and we were never given fresh silverware for our dessert course.
Food, as usual, was spot on though.
Our food was well prepared and attractively presented. The service was both friendly and efficient. Management stopped by our table to make sure we were having a good experience. I love this restaurant. The Indianapolis location is so attractive.
It takes a lot to impress my girlfriend and I. The meal we had there Friday night did the job. Every dish we tried was superb and great cocktails and wine. Will definitely be back!
Purchased a bottle of wine and upon request they brought us out a decanter, which was a bonus. Our dinner entrees had amazing flavor. I had fish and my BF had a pork chop. I’m not a big pork chop person but I tried some of his and it just melted in my mouth...very good. My only complaint is that I don’t like to be seated at the little two person tables in the galley area before it opens up on the main floor. The ambiance is just not great there. The main dining areas upstairs and down are much better and the bar area is spacious and nice.
We went here for a belated Valentine’s Day during Savor Downtown Indy. We were seated at a nice table that was quiet and private. Our sever was diligent about keeping our water glasses full and was attentive during the entire meal. The mesh salad was incredible, the Amish chicken was delicious (though the asparagus were a bit underdone) and the terrine was rich. They serve a fresh bread and special olive oil at the table and that was amazing! While this spot is a bit expensive for a frequent visit, I’m sure we’ll be back for special occasions.
The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the 3 course prix fix menu and each option was enticing...my choices were all delicious; if I lived in Indy and not South Carolina this would be a regular dining option for me - exceptional!
After the meal my wife and I looked at each other and said the same thing. It was a nice dinner with pleasant staff but Mesh always feel like they only do 80 percent of what they could. The food is fine, but definitely not $25/per plate good. The staff is kind, thoughtful and polite...but not overly attentive. The meal was around $250 for five adults, two kids and three total beers...we could have had an equally satisfying meal at Bru (another Cunningham property) for half the price.
Again, not bad - just too many missteps. A couple under-done steaks, lots of empty water glasses and items there were obviously forgotten which was promptly blamed on the bartender.
Music was very loud, didn't seem to be lunch music? Service was good and so was food, but ambience could use a facelift.
Phenomenal food and atmosphere! Absolutely delicious!
The vegetarian options were superb. Highly recommended!
We always enjoy Mesh. We always have a great time when we dine there.
I proposed to my girlfriend and the staff came thru on every single request I made and more! Mesh is a great place for any occasion but especially very special and memorable occasions! Thanks again for helping us make it a night to remember
The food was excellent but the service not so good. Had a late lunch and bar area was actually empty but our table and a couple of people at the bar. The waitress was not attentive and had to be asked to clear our plates, dessert menu, drinks. When you have a lunch and drinks for $250.00 you expect better service. Will try again because of the great location and food but not the waitress. Hopefully she was having a bad day but really????
Food was good but not stellar. I gave low marks for getting my sister's order wrong twice. Then they failed to bring her take-home box. They comped her meal, but were obviously disorganized. Waiter asked the table next to ours what was wrong with the french toast. The answer: We didn't get it. We all drove more that an hour to get there. Disappointing.
Guests from out of town. Our server was knowledgeable and good! and food was excellent!!
Great food price matches quality our server was excellent
I've been a fan of Mesh for a while. The food is certainly great but this night was a little unnerving. First we were sat next to a party of about 8 people and there was this guy that was talking so loud over the entire restaurant that we could hear him all the way at the front door! I know they hope those banquettes stop noise, but we could hear him loud and clear. We asked to be moved and they obliged. Our waiter was very nice and indulged my hubby's lame jokes, however it took a very long time for us to get our wine. Then a couple walked in with a screaming baby who screamed bloody murder for at least ten minutes before it finally calmed down. I don't want to be the jerk who says "why didn't you get a baby sitter" but seriously, it's Valentines day when 90% of the ppl there are couples on a date. If I was the ownership I'd consider putting out a disclaimer no children on Valentines Day. I was surprised a member of the staff didn't polite ask one of the parents to take the child to the bathroom. Instead we all had to suffer and people were staring. I try to not throw stones because I know someday I'll be that over stressed Mom who's sitter canceled, but it was very annoying. Thank God the baby quieted down and we were able to salvage the rest of our evening.
The atmosphere was upscale and very nice. The service was good but the food is the star of the show. Even people that don't like Brussels Sprouts will LOVE the au Gratin preparation. It should be on the menu as a side.
Our server was great. He gave us a run down of everything and was very knowledgable about questions concerning the menu. We even took our 4 year old and the overall experience was great.
Enjoyed the food and presentation of the food. Service was slow but was a busy night. Cost was within line of the food. Will definitely go back.
Josh the general manager and the rest if his staff are awesome. My wife and I went to Mesh for a Valentine's dinner and everything was perfect. Thank you
