Mesa Modern Mexican
Good authentic foods, very reasonable pricing i expected it to be more. Nice quiet setting
We have eaten at Mesa many, many times. Always enjoy our visits!
Delicious chicken tacos and enchiladas! The chicken itself is outstanding, moist and flavorful and big chunks of meat. The guacamole made at your table is also very good. Wonderful meal sitting outside enjoying the evening watching the passersby😀
The ambiance at Mesa is great for gathering of friends, birthdays, or date night. The food is very good. Their Beef Skewers are delicious. The Salmon tacos are also a favorite and very filling. Our experience was over positive. Why this review is not a 5 star but a 4 star; we had to call the waiter’s attention numerous times. We asked for Salt, he forgot, we had to remind him again. This went on throughout our time there. If we needed something, it was a challenge getting our waitress to come to our table. However, I would certain continue to go to Mesa! Overall wonderful time!
The food was delicious and the service was attentive and prompt
Went for lunch. Food was great & our waiter was wonderful. Was a little pricey for lunch though....($52) for 2 people.
We have been going to Mesa every Tuesday for quite some time - my husband loves the taco Tuesday special and I love the lunch specials. However, we have noticed quite a turnover in staff lately; we never see the same wait staff twice. And this time, when we sat outside, the service was poor; the server must have forgotten we were there. After being seated outside by the hostess, who may have been the manager, we weren't even acknowledged by a server for over 10 minutes, and then she came out with a pitcher of water when we had no glasses or set ups. We had to ask for the complimentary chips and salsa this time too when it was always brought to the table shortly after we were seated. When the food finally arrived, after about 30 minutes, they brought out my husband's and son's tacos first; my wrap came out about 3 minutes later. My husband and son said that their tacos were barely warm - as if they had been sitting under a poorly working heat lamp for a while. This is not the service or the quality of food we are used to. I hope they get things together because this was our favorite place for lunch.
We dine here a lot. The food is really good. Yesterday evening was a bad experience. Once we were seated, we waited almost 30 minutes for a waiter before having to go to the hostess and complain.
This is our go-to place for taco Tuesday, or any other day we want outstanding Mexican food. The quality and taste is unmatched in the area.
Best Mexican food around! Every time I go it’s just as amazing as the last. Friendly staff, fresh, delicious food, great ambiance. Recommend highly!
Drove 45 minutes from NJ to see Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul at the State Theater. First time visitor to Easton. Mesa was recommended and it exceeded expectations. A top notch ceviche was the star of the meal. The flank steak was superb. The enchiladas were magnificent. Service was just right and the margaritas were tasty and strong. We would drive back to Easton just to eat again at Mesa.
Mesa isn’t ‘authentic’ Mexican ... but the food is good, and the cocktails are even better. Good seating with a reservation, otherwise you might get stuck too close to the door, or in the too crowded noisy room.
My family took advantage of Easton Restaurant Week and Mesa Modern's $15 price fixed menu for lunch. Options were great. I was surprised that service took so long at 1:30pm when the restaurant was not busy.
Desserts were a small portion of the usual size. The watermelon salad with basil and cheese was delicious.
Good for $15 but would have been rated overall better had service been improved.
Food was excellent! Service was great.
Best fish tacos I ever ate!!!!
DO NOT GO HERE DURING RESTAURANT WEEK! I repeat DO NOT. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and have enjoyed it. Most of the time I go because their Margaritas are usually amazing!! However, my fiancé and I decided to try out the restaurant week menu today. We had a reservation but got there early and the hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. She allowed us to sit at the bar and enjoy a beverage and let us know of a table would open up before our reservation. She was very accommodating. The bartender was friendly but seemed overwhelmed. For restaurant week I think they might have understaffed. We waited forever for our food, the food was very small portions and not impressive. The drinks were strong, but unfortunately half-assed. When we got to dessert it took 45 mins to get it and when we received them they were half melted and I had visibly moldy fruit on my plate. I was so disappointed this time around. My fiancé and I had our first date there and enjoy going back every once in a while but it seems to have gone by the way side.
Food was good, drinks were way to sweet and the overhead lights are way to bright... Staff was very short handed...
The server was oddly, unnecessarily self-deprecating to the point that made us feel uncomfortable. Friendly guy but weird vibe. Food was decent, the guacamole is second to none for sure. My chicken enchiladas were ok - not bad but likely won't order them again. Other diners got the crispy cod tacos, and they enjoyed them but said they had a "kick." Overall, decent experience but not in a hurry to return.
Great place with parking deck across the street! Only $1 an hour after 5. Was at dinner with a friend for 2+ hours and only got charged a dollar. Place has a great menu and the wait staff was really nice and friendly and made great recommendations for what to drink and eat! Will definitely be going back!
I used to go to Mesa all the time. The service was not good. Took over 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table. The plantains we ordered as an appetizer came as dessert, drink refills never came. The tacos, which used to be awesome, were soggy and lacked flavor.
It was good, but a server should never seat a couple in a room full of tables with small children. They were so misbehaved we almost left
Been here a bunch of times, always happy. Today was the first time I sat outside. The food is stellar, and we had fun sitting outside and getting a feel for the town. Mac and cheese with chorizo was so good.
As always, the food was fantastic! My only complaint would be that the service when sitting outside was a little slow, as far as refilling drinks. But otherwise, this is our Tuesday go-to place!
Overall, good food and decent service, though I would have liked to see the waitress again to order another drink. By the time she returned, we were wrapping up our dinner and I opted to forgo the drink. My biggest complaint, however, was noise level - sure, it was a busy Friday night, but I felt like I was yelling just to converse with my date sitting directly across from me. I’m not sure there’s anything to do about it, just something I noticed.
As much as we love the food at Mesa, the service continues to get worse. Our app order of guacamole & chips took 30 minutes to come out. When it did, it had onions which I requested to not have. Our server who mixed the guac didn’t even notice, I had to point it out. The service continued to go downhill from having our entrees come out 5 minutes after our guac showed up. The side of rice and beans came 3/4 of the way into our entrees. The coffee was cold. So while the manager made good by covering about half our bill, they never came to our table to apologize. Our server, Mitchell, while owning up to the mistakes never the beginning, never made an effort to improve the rest of our experience. Disappointed.
This is a nice little place overall. I don't like going to Easton to begin with as I don't feel safe. The food was okay, however it is very expensive considering the portions. Most everything we ordered was fried and small. I had the steak tacos. They were so tiny and on very huge plates. They sat four of us at a table the could barely accommodate our plates and drinks. Every time the waiter came over to give us something, we had to shuffle things around. I would not recommend this place nor would I return.
This our go to restaurant in downtown Easton. Food is always delicious and service is great!
Everything from prompt seating to food and drinks was excellent. Our location by the window was lovely. Our server was very attentive to our needs. Our guacamole had just enough heat, and the pork and steak platters were cooked to perfection.
Food is excellent. My only complaint for this visit is: after the waitress accidentally spilled a lemonade on me there was no sense of urgency to clean it up and management never cared to apologize just the help staff.
This was our 4th time there and it are never dissatisfied . Outstanding food and service.
Apparently walk ins take precedence over reservations because they made us wait for an outdoor table even though I requested it on open table. Our server was mediocre. No attention to detail and only checked in on us once towards the end if our meal. My coffee came out cold , had to get another. We love sitting outside in Easton so that part of dinner was great.
It took 15 minutes for a server to come to our table and that is only because i had to go and find someone to help us. It took a long time to get the drinks once we ordered them. On a side note, the food was excellent. Everything was so good but the service was a huge disappointment.
I’m actually a little sad writing this review because our first experience here was amazing, our server Courtney was awesome and we all had a great time. Unfortunately last night, my boyfriend and I decided to dine here. Our table was reserved for 5:30. By the time our waiter got to us, it was about 5:45-5:50. He was nice but it seemed like he was either drunk, or sick. Sweating bullets even tho it was pretty cool inside, stumbling, slurring his words. We ordered our drinks and because he took so long we ordered our food as well. He then proceeded to ask us what we were having for drinks, when that was the first thing we had ordered.. so that was a little awkward. Another ten mins pass, our drinks are just sitting at the bar. We were contemplating on letting a manager know our concerns for a little bit but we figured we’d give him a chance and see if he’s still acting like that when he got back to us with our chips and drinks as he said. He never came back. I notified the manager and he said he’d take care of it. We got our drinks, the ones that were sitting on the counter, I ordered a frozen mojito-rita with a floater. No floater, and there were still chunks of ice on the bottom. It was 6:10 by the time we got our chips and salsa. Another waitress then took over for our original waiter, not knowing if he had even put our food orders in (lack of communication). She was very nice also but I can tell she was overwhelmed with how many tables she had. The manager never came back to check on us and ask about our experience as he was by the door when we left and then we noticed our original waiter still working! We were so excited to come back to this place as our anniversary dinner only to be let down. And on top of it we still paid FULL price for our dinner “disaster”. So disappointing because truly liked this place.
The food was phenomenal. The corn on the cob was to die for!! Highly recommend it!!
Our only complaint was that service was a little slow..But otherwise Great!
Always an amazing meal.... celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary.
Excellent as always!!
Great time was there at 4:30 with the girls, then dinner with my husband, niece and her boyfriend.
Food was excellent. Server seemed a little grumpy and was not attentive.
The chips, though fresh-made were a bit soggy, oily, and tasteless. My wife ordered nachos with extra cheese but they came with barely any cheese on them, and overflowing with beans.
The empanadas were very tasty and the salmon was good.
Service was pleasant but checking on us a bit more frequently would have been appreciated.
We didn't order drinks so I can't comment on those. The bar was noisy but thankfully they put us in a room that was quieter. It was generally a young crowd.
Overall ok but not our cup of tea.
Mesa is a nice restaurant. A good ethnic alternative to the Easton scene. That said, given a choice I would rather visit this group's other restaurants Tapas or Urbano. Drinks at any of their restaurants are ALWAYS excellent, some of the best Cocktail Menus in the Lehigh Valley. The Menu on the other hand was rather tired making this sister Restaurant feel forgotten.
