Mesa Grill - Caesars Palace Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Too many great restaurants in Vegas to come back here. Wasn't bad, but a couple of issues threw it into the also-ran category.
First, leave your fedora at home. They have a no hat policy in the restaurant, so even if you are wearing a nice hat, you'll have to take it off in the restaurant.
My dining companion and I decided to split the Rough Cut Tuna Nachos. The sauce was ok, but the tuna had very little taste, so we decided to send it back. There wasn't much else on the appetizer menu we wanted so we decided to add an order of the Chile Rubbed Carrots to our Steamed Halibut entree. The Halibut was awesome, but the carrots were a miss as well. The mint didn't really go with the overall flavor. We didn't really want to send them back as well, but expected to have a conversation with our server Tina about them to see if we could substitute them, but she never stopped back to check on us, and the uneaten plate of carrots were eventually cleared by the staff, so we just decided to get the check and depart.
January, 2018 ~~ mine & my sister’s dining experience at Mesa Grill Las Vegas was incredible and so delicious. Our selections for lunch were beautifully presented and absolutely wonderful. The server was very professional and friendly. I so wish there was a Mesa Grill in Houston so we could once again enjoy deliciously prepared food. Thank you to Chef Bobby Flay for creating amazing food.
We started with the bread basket, which contained the best corn muffin I have ever eaten, and some really fantastic jalapeno bread. The standout was the appetizer, which was the chicken skewers. The chicken was perfect, and each component on the plate added something to the overall dish. The peanut barbecue sauce was a surprising delight, and I would eat it on anything. The entrees we had were the ancho and honey salmon, which cut like butter and had a beautiful taste and texture; and the sweet potato hash with spicy chicken. The hash was a delight, had a great mix of flavours and was great with the side of thick cut bacon, which was the best of my life. We also had a cactus pear margarita, that was smooth to drink and a great palate cleanser and unique in taste.
Unfortunately, I am not one to enjoy paying for a name or a style of food that is heavy on balsamic vinegar. I did enjoy the lamb chops however the 3 separate dipping sauces were horrible. If I wanted that much vinegar, I would have drink it directly from the bottle. The Brussel Sprouts also were not edible due to the high content of flavorings. The restaurant was recommended to me since it is right across from the main show room at Caesars. Unless you like your food over priced and heavy on balsamic vinegar, don't waste your money on the room decorations. Very nice but a waste of money by my standards. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Ruth's Cris Steak House and many five star restaurants around the world. Just not Mesa. If I wanted bad Mexican food, I can go to Texas. Their they add chipotle to everything and call it TexMex.
After arriving at Caesars to attend Celine Dion show and then being told the show had been canceled. we were happy we had made reservations at the Mesa Grill.
We enjoyed the atmosphere the menu is full of great choices, but it is pricey.
We were celebrating my friends birthday so since we were getting our money back from show we did enjoy the wines, lovely dinner and then had a fabulous Banana Cream pie that was the best I have ever had.
Party of four guys on a gambling trip. Had reservations at 8:15. They were set up and ready for us. Wine list is very good. Signature margaritas are good. Service was outstanding. The only reason this place doesn’t get all 5 stars is due to pricing. This was our second time here and would recommend to anyone. Many good flavors. Pork tenderloin was a hit.
Pricey. Steak was good. Chile relleno was good but 1 Chile for $29 ?? Chicken quesadilla should use grilled chicken instead of chicken that tasted like ham...
Not surprising, the seasoning was s it strong on everything. I know Bobby loves his Anchos, but on everything?
This was another Las Vegas celebrity chef restaurant on my bucket list. We made reservations to eat here prior to a Celine Dion show. The show was cancelled - but the food and dining experience was FANTASTIC! Kinda took the sting out of the cancellation. I had the Ancho-Chile Rubbed Pork Loin and the Sticky Toffee dessert. IT WAS DELICIOUS! The pork was so tender (I ordered it "medium" and it was a little on the pink side, but warm all the way thru and really delicious). I would totally eat here again. A little spendy - but SO GOOD!
Absolutely delish. Had the crab cake special, very tasty with great sauces and perfectly cooked (nice crust with a soft lumpy crab inside). Also, had the tuna nachos, tiger shrimp tamale and both had a nice flare that can only be done by Bobby Flay. Ordered two fish dishes and both were perfectly cooked with a nice flavor and a little spice. I would definitely recommend MESA Grill if you want to try Bobby Flay's cuisine. I've also been to Bar Americaine in NYC and that is also a great spot.
Little disappointed...been to Mesa before on several occasions and loved it...this time not so much. Lamb chops were under cooked, shishito peppers while a great idea overcooked and over salted. Felt rushed by waiter. Would probably try again, but for the price ($250 for 2 people) I expect more...
Mesa Grill is always wonderful. I eat there every trip to Las Vegas. If you like food with flavor then Mesa is your place. I've had every entrée on the menu and all are great. Especially like the pork tenderloin, veal chop and salmon dishes. My wife loves the coconut cake. You also have to try the cornbread muffin, it's yummy! Tables are a little small for my tastes. Service is always first rate.
This is our second time at this fabulous restaurant. The food is fantastic and service very good. For Las Vegas where there is tons of options for food restaurants I will consider this one one of the best. Their cocktails are very good and friendly staff. Overall, great experience as always.
This was the 2nd time we've dined at Mesa Grill. Our first experience was great. This time it was just okay. I brought my husband there for his 50th birthday. I let the restaurant know ahead of time but they didn't go out of their way to make it special. If you're at a 2 person table you're very close to other couples. Our waiter was more salesy than helpful. Our food was delicious and well prepared. Although we bought dessert I thought they could have brought out a scoop of ice cream or something to commemorate his birthday. I've had a better birthday experience at TGI Friday's, so it was disappointing. We flew out for the day just to have dinner there and I would say it was just an okay experience. I don't think I would return for a special occasion again.
