Mesa Grill - Caesars Palace Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
First let me start by saying I’m a huge Food Network and Bobby Flay fan. I insisted we go to this restaurant out of all the places to eat in Vegas. I’m super disappointed. The chicken quesadillas and the halibut were both so overpowered in spice and flavor it left for a nauseating feeling after the initial few bites. Both my husband and I agreed. Flavors were taken WAY too far. I wish I had wasted the money at the casino instead of this meal, and I’m not even a gambler!!
The food was very good. I've been a Bobby Flay fan for years and knew that I would have one of the best meals of my life. I was not disappointed. I had the chicken dish and It was awesome. Our group also had the goat cheese fondito and the toffee pudding for desert. This was a great start and finish to a fine dining experience. It is pricy as our group of 5 spent about $350.00 and made conservative options. My only complaint is I wish our server had asked about food allergies. One of my friends had the salmon and it was good. However she ended up having a moderate allergic reaction shortly after eating. By the time we got home she had hives all over and extremely itchy hands and feet and swollen eyes. We could only think the salmon must have been cross contaminated during the prep or cooking as the itchiness started after that course. So we recommend mentioning food allergies to your server. Other than that, a great food experience.
We normally love Mesa. But our visit yesterday left us dissatisfied. The food took so long to be served, people that came in thirty minutes after us had their entrees eaten by the time our food was served.
The food was not as flavorful as normal but would have been overlooked if the service was the type of service we are use to.
Service was well below average. Waited for server to get us a glass of wine after passing our table 5x then food sat inland was cold. After asking the waiter why our food was taking so long he said he did not know. He deliver the food without an explanation. The food was cold and we asked to speak to the manager who took the entry's off the bill. He charged us for the wine and apps. Ruined my night and was very disappointed. After the manager came by no one else came near us to explain why it was cold and if they were going to serve us warm food
This was our first visit to Mesa Grill. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was excellent! Our server was good but not fabulous. We had to wait quite a while for our check. The brunch options are very nice and we enjoyed the Spicy Scrambled Eggs. We will definitely go back!
One of my favorite places to eat while in Vegas. We were in the first week of Nov 2017 and were not disappointed. The pork tenderloin is out of this world, along with the side of sweet-potato tamale. I had the shrimp tamale for an appetizer and it was great. My wife had the tuna steak and it was seared perfectly. There wasn't a bad bite on the plate. If you like Southwest Cuisine, or are looking to try it, Mesa Grill is a must stop.
Nice ambiance and service. Large portions . Loved the shrimp tamale, but pork beak quesadilla was bready and just ok. Chips and queso dip were very good . Brussels spouts were too gooey for my taste... would return to try other things. Great margarita, though!
Perfect service by Marco! We ate early because we had concert tickets. We had to pass on appetizers because we weren’t that hungry. Dinners were the mango spiced tuna and the grilled swordfish. Both excellent and the accompaniments were tasty. Dessert of sticky pudding was just okay. It is fun to watch the flames in the open kitchen.
Mesa Grill has been on my radar for quite a while, because I love Bobby Flay! We were so happy with our dinner. We started with the Baby Romaine Salad, which was delicious. We then had the Ancho Chile-Honey Glazed Salmon which we paired with the Pumpkin tamale, which paired perfectly. The night was topped off with the most wonderful Banana Cream Pie I have ever had. If you like bananas, you must try this dessert...So Amazing!
While the food was fantastic, the service was equally as wonderful. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.
The food was good. We had the tenderloin and lamb chops. It was noisy and we ended up at a table for two without a table cloth. There were 4 tables in our section without table clothes and all the rest had them. Service staff were professional and attentive.
Mesa never disappoints. Must try the shrimp tamale appetizer. Last time I was there I has the ribeye and for a year told everyone that was the best steak I’ve ever had. This time had the filet. Equally awesome and now I have two favorite steaks EVER. (And I have two Big Green Eggs.) Love Bobby Flay, even named my orange tabby after him. Don’t hesitate, go now!
