We celebrated my husband’s birthday, and it was just perfect. They accommodated us and seated some early arrival family members so they would be a surprise Our server was phenomenal! The ambiance was a great blend of class and comfort. A memorable evening for sure!

In 5 years of dining at this establishment, last night was the first time I’ve had a bad experience. Ordered a medium rare cowboy and was served a porterhouse. I can tell they didn’t let the meat come down to ambient temp before cooking. It was unevenly cooked; almost charred all the way around and practically raw in the middle. Same goes for the filet mignon. Both meat were served overly rested. It was barely warm by the time it got to the table; rendering the meat tough and chewy. The porterhouse was returned and removed from the bill. Manager didn’t bother to apologize or explain the situation, but our waitress was very helpful and understanding throughout. This is the kind of mistake I expect from a Texas Roadhouse or any other chain, but not from what I used to consider one of my favorite restaurants. Consistency is key.

This was our first time eating here and we were very pleased. I ordered the New York strip medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The seasoning was perfect. My son order the 18oz ribeyeye medium rare and it also was cooked perfect. My wife ordered fettuccine with shrimp which was also pretty good however not a lot of flavor. The shrimp de Jonge appetizer was amazing and the the next time I would order that with a side of pasta instead of the fettuccine with shrimp. We will definitely return.

Merill and Houston is our favorite steak joint. After we were sat we enjoyed our anniversary dinner. We were given champain and a nice card. The dinner was delicious. Thank you M and H for making our night special.

The food and service were excellent . A bit noisy and one round table with three loud mouthed drunks who were cut off then arguing with a female manager and a waitress. It ruined our 55th wedding anniversary. I wanted to go to the table and rip them but my wife said no.

It was buffet style which I had no idea about until I arrived. The food was mediocre at best and we were charged insane prices. Around 121$ for two people and a baby. Will not return.

The brunch aas amazing the food was amazing the servers were 150% amazing. The only issue is that we waited for nearly 20-25 mins before we were seated when had a 12:30 reservation. otherwise the experience was magical

I enjoyed the food very much. We had noon reservations, but didn't get our table until 12:25. Also, considering how much the customer is being charged per plate for Mother's Day brunch, it would be nice if all the mothers would be given a complimentary mimosa like they used to do. For such an upscale establishment, it seems like a nickel and dime thing to add that charge. I know, I know, you don't have to eat there, but you're not making enough profit at $50+ per person that you can't give mothers a free drink? C'mon M & H, you can (and should) do better.

The service was great. The food was good, but was not prepared with a love. The shrimp was dark. My wife steak was over cooked, and the Mac and cheese needed some seasoning to make it taste really good. Overall it was a great experience.

We were seated next to a loud table so that was the only downfall. Server was awesome. Very attentive. Food was great! Disappointed we weren’t offered a birthday dessert nor the manager ever came over to see how we were doing.

Rachel our server was amazing! She is so attentive and knowledgeable. Food was fantastic, best steak I’ve had in a very long time. Bartenders and bus staff very good too. Can’t wait to come back and have Rachel serve us again!!

Steak was done perfectly and had great flavor. Do wish that a small green vegetable would be included or could be substituted with the entree with an option to exclude the mushrooms and onion strips. Love the atmosphere and the candle at the table. Chairs are very comfortable. We both had the Parmesan cheesey potatoes. They were very good but could have been served a little hotter. Will return for the outstanding food and good service.

Most of the food the was supposed to be hot was cold. The French toast was mushy, eggs Benedict had egg shells in them. The only plus is the salads and deserts were good. Not worth spending $300.00!!!!
