I needed to change the number in my party and no one was answering the phone. Service was slow. Food was ok but not special.
It took a long time to get our food. It was close to an hour. We were told that they were slammed. There were not many people in the restaurant.
Bread was not given to us while we waited. We had to ask for it.
They provided one soup as an apology while we waited.
We decided to take the leftovers home.
The waitperson brought the boxes to our table and left them for us to makeup our own boxes.
The service was excellent! The food was also high quality but unfortunately the dinner chef chooses to use to much salt on his food. The chef should really learn to turn it down and moderate the amount of salt he's using and let patrons choose how much salt to use or not.
Our waiter was great and checked on us to make sure everything was going well and the food tasted great.
A couple things that could be improved upon: when the hostess greeted us, she asked us if we wanted the buffet or to order off of the menu and forgot to say good morning. We had never been to the restaurant so it could be good for her to ask if the patrons have ever dined there and tell/remind them about the buffet and the regular menu options.
For the busboy, he needs to actually clean off the entire table with the appropriate cleaners instead of using another table's napkins that other patrons used. This is a four-diamond hotel and should be treated as such.
The very best of service! The buffet was beautiful, but if you wanted to eat off of the menu, it was very limited
The lamb chops were phenomenal. The risotto was a bit too al dente. The salmon was good. Prices seemed high.
Service was having an "off night." They did the right thing by topping off my wife's bowl of green chili with some shredded cheddar, pico de gallo and sour cream but there was only one problem — it was French onion soup underneath. By the time, they brought out her green chili, she had lost her appetite. Food was good.
Exceptional service, enjoyable experience, would plan to return.
Although they offered a brunch buffet, their regular menu was very limited.
We have been going to the Meritage for brunch for many years now. Although the service was excellent, we found that the food offerings, & quality, are not as good as they use to be.
I am an Omni Golf Club member. Even with the 50% member discount for food and Wine-Down Wednesday 50% discount for wine, I found the prices high. $40 for 4 lamb chops, half-cooked risotto and 3 carrots was a lot to pay. $48 for a bottle of King Estate pinot that allegedly was 1/2 price is ridiculous given that a retail price of $25 at the local liquor store. Even with the discounts, I do not see good value here and I will not be back until things change.
Experienced a horrible holiday dinner here. Service was slow and food came out cold. They offered a free charcuterie board out of embarrassment.
I thought the place was great as well as the food. Staff was friendly but the service was slow and the restaurant wasn’t very busy for that to be acceptable. Food was amazing. The desserts were kind of plain and were unlabeled properly considering I have a peanut allergy. The dish I ordered of course contained mashed pecans. Overall I would go back to the restaurant for another special occasion
Have done Sunday Brunch before and always good slection and food. Went at noon; so, crowd gone. Only thing I missed was steaks on the grill, but I'm sure that is seasonal.
We hadn’t been to the Meritage Brunch for awhile. We went Sunday and enjoyed it very much. The selections were excellent and Salome took great care of us. It made us realize we have to come back more often.

We went there with some old friends we see infrequently for a catch up dinner. A most enjoyable evening. The food was excellent if a little on the expensive side (try the bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp), we had some just brilliant Argentinian Mendoza Malbec that was on special offer and the service provided by Cynthia was discreet and professional. We sat by a roaring fIre on a cold Denver night and finished with a NY cheesecake and apple cobbler which everyone shared. Highly recommend.
Good food, steaks a bit over cooked
We have always enjoyed The Meritage for our special occasions. Sunday Father’s Day, birthdays and anniversaries. We have always invited other friends and family members to dine with us. We are never disappointed.
Steak was poorly cooked. Great waiter who was attentive, and that saved the review.
Nice hotel restaurant. The service is great and food was good. Not real cozy for a date dinner- a bit more of a hotel feel.
My salmon with perfect. It came with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The other people were jealous because there fish came with less. I think the restaurant wants you to add lots of side dishes. The flan was a disappointment. The orange creme brulee was great!
My wife and I went there for an anniversary dinner. The staff was wonderful and the meal was great. The pricing was a little high, but to be expected considering the atmosphere.
We had a great dinner. Our server wasn't too good, but the food and wine was wonderful. Our server didnt have much experience in the menu or wine list. The gentleman that presented our wine was great. Wish he could of been our server all evening.
Always a great dining spot as food and service are consistently good. Whether with a date or having a business dinner, the dining room is quiet making it great for discussion.
We made a Special trip for the Sunday brunch buffet as we had company in town. We thought the $35 price tag was expensive but figured this buffet must be amazing & we needed to check it out. They were not that busy, and we were with a party of eight. The food was just OK. Basic breakfast stuff, omelette bar, a few savory items. The pastries were delicious the croissant was very soft and flaky and they had fun toppings for bread and bagels. The prime rib was a bit tough and fatty. The worst part was the service, and we had read a bunch of reviews that said service was bad and we were just hoping for a better experience. Our waitress never came and checked on us, never cleared the dirty plates quickly until they started piling up. We always had to find her and wave her down for drink refills. So the biggest bummer is that they applied a 20% gratuity to all of our checks since we were with a party of eight or more. I understand that we were a party of eight, but this was a buffet, and we all served ourselves! 20% means exceptional service and we definitely did not receive that so I would not recommend this breakfast buffet to anyone especially a party of eight or more. Go to Snooze or Syrup and save your money!
Stayed at the hotel for a birthday staycation. Made reservations for 7pm at the Meritage restaurant on September 23rd. Joshua, a server at the Meritage restaurant went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was a great experience. He was attentive, kind, and extremely understanding. Important to note- he did not know it was my birthday as we did not tell him. Thank you Joshua!
What a great restaurant to celebrate an anniversary or go on a date. We enjoyed the romantic setting and the servers were all very friendly and relaxed. Oh and the food is very delicious with large servings -- enough for leftovers!
The food was horrible and terribly over priced. I ordered the spinach mushroom lasagna (for $38) and the noodles on the bottom were over cooked to the point that they were gummy and the the top layer of cheese and mushroom were rock hard and inedible. I sent it back. The waitress was very good and kind. She comped my meal and expedited out a shrimp linguine. I could at least eat this, however it was not very good. The noodles, this time, were undercooked and the flavor wasn't great. I'm baffled how this place is able to stay in business, especially with the prices they charge. Definitely not upscale dining.
We came at 1130 this last Saturday with a reservation through opentable that the hostess couldn't find.
Even though the restaurant was empty, we waited for long periods of time between server visits. There were 5 of us, only 2 of us ordered juice and both were wrong (I ordered grapefruit, got grape. My daughter ordered lemonade and got apple juice). When I finally got the right juice ot was warm super sweet red grapefruit juice. Not fresh squeezed or even high quality. I was told by the server that they had gluten free bagels and my breakfast was brought on top of gluten free bread.
The server offered no explanation nor apology.
It was my 9 year olds birthday and I was horribly disappointed that we spent our money and time there.
We spent $90 without alcohol and it was the worst.
We could've spent $20 at McDonalds and it would've been better. Atleast the service would've been.
NEVER going back
Food was ok. The chick was over cooked and very salty. The lasagna had way to much cheese. The server was great! She was incredibly attentive and was a real pleasure. i would eat there again only if I did not feel like leaving the hotel.
We got the beet salad, wedge salad, filet, and rib eye. And it was all fantastic! Delicious meal for our family of 4 "staycation." Will be back!
Great food with lots of choices and mimosas! Service is very attentive and professional. Highly recommend this place for brunch!
Organic food + pickled fish + exotic teas
Three of four meals were not good. Two fish meals were overlooked and one meal was tasteless. One guest only ate a few bites. She took the rest home to "make it better". The menu was new and limited. Our guests said they would not go to the restaurant again.

Wine list very pricey where some items are marked up 300% to 400% of liquor store pricing. My pet peeve is restaurants who attempt to jam their customers on excessive wine pricing. Grade C-.
Requested patio for dining due to great mountain view. Their patio has become run down as it has a huge smoker trailer on the patio and there was grease and debris around the trailer and patio. Patio needs to be power washed and debris cleaned up. This is not something I would except for a 4 star+ hotel. Grade D-.
Service. Unprepared for our reservation. Wait person who greeted me did not understand I had an Open Table reservation. Had to request manager to get seated and acknowledge reservation. Waiter was good and attentive server. Grade B-.
Restrooms were clean but some trash on floors. Grade B.
Overall Grade C.
Please note that I consult to the country club industry and feel that I have a very good idea of what an "A" rated restaurant should be.
Our family met for Fathers Day Brunch. A beautiful morning so they even had patio seating open for some. Our party was actually 5 people, so we were seated at a round table at the end of the large dining room by the fireplace. The A/C was working overtime, since they had the doors to the outside patio open, so our end of the dining room was cold when we arrived. The dining manager worked to accommodate us and turned on that fireplace. Soon it all was comfortable. We loved the food choices, both for breakfast and midday dinner dishes. There was a BBQ smoker outside as well, serving up rib roast, brisket, and ribs. Our server was very attentive to our requests. We had a great time, opening gifts and eating. We have been to Meritage many times over several years. It is always a favorite.

This review is for Sunday Brunch. Although the price was reasonable for a Sunday Brunch Buffet in the Denver Metro Area, the food quality was average. The $10 savings in price was not worth the decline in taste. Similar quality to that of IHOP, Denny's, etc. The "eggs to order" station was the only saving grace. The rest of the options tasted like Costo pre-packaged foods reheated and served. The bottomless mimosas were nice. The wait staff was wonderful. I just wish the food would have been better.
