Meritage at the Omni Interlocken Resort
Everything was wonderful and our server was fantastic, professional and friendly. 4 stars because the website needs to be clear that the buffet price on the menu is for weekdays only. Sunday is considerably more, and even on non-holidays.
Whenever I am in the Boulder area, I always stay at the Omni and eat at Meritage. All the food is delicious.
I especially love the Colorado lamb chops. They are tender and juicy and thick cut. The restaurant is very accomodating and the service terrific. They have morning breakfast which has a vast buffet from bruschetta to chef made on demand omelets. Their blueberry sausage is fabulous. Sit by the fire!
Thank you so much for visiting us - we look forward to your return!
Wonderful evening! As frequent visitors, we are never disappointed with the food or ambience! Thank you.
Thank you for your loyalty. We hope to see you again soon!
We usually go to the Westin for our rare date nights but we enjoyed the package at Omni this round so we will surely return.
Thank you for your business, we look forward to your next visit!
The service was terrible all around. We weren’t the only table. People were complaining all around us. Our food came out at the wrong time (appetizers after entrees) and this was happening at other tables. My wife had to send her steak back as she ordered it medium well and it was clearly medium rare. It came back to her from the kitchen pretty much unchanged. Nobody cleared our plates until we were absolutely out of room at the table and we still had to ask. I was offered someone else’s food twice. The waiter kept telling everyone that the kitchen had to serve both restaurants at the hotel and the food runners were bringing food out as soon as it was done. This is patently ridiculous and didn’t change the fact that everyone at the restaurant was unprepared and undertrained. It was Valentines Day and our waiter told us it was his food runner’s first day on the job (this explains why he served the bread for our table by placing it right in front of me instead of the middle of the table but why hadn’t he been trained to take dirty dishes away?) This restaurant has a lot of potential as it offers an excellent wine list with even premium wines by the glass. The food was OK but wasn’t overpriced so even that wasn’t bad. They just don’t seem to have their act together and need to be trained from the back of the house to the front of the house in order to become what they seem to want to be. Too many mistakes to warrant another try.
Thank you for filling out this survey in regards to your recent visit to the Meritage restaurant. Here at the Omni, it is our goal to provide exceptional service and enjoyable dining experiences for our guests. Unfortunately it looks like we missed the mark on most recent visit. You feedback is invaluable to us and we will use your comments as a training tool for our staff to improve upon our service in the future. We look forward to the chance to welcome you back in the future.
I love this place - only gave it one less star because my husband's steak was over done. But they compensated us with a free dessert. I like that it is low key and quiet.
Thank you for your business, we apologize for the food quality issue, but are happy you got to enjoy dessert. We look forward to your next visit!
Excellent service from Marco! Quality food!
We'll be back
Celebrating a friends birthday. My ribeye steak was OK but had a little more gristle than I would prefer. Service was excellent. Will try it again.
Good food. Excellent service.
Rack of lamb was awesome. Salads fine. Chocolate dessert was great
I read so many good reviews for this restaurant concerning brunch and it was the perfect location for meeting up with a friend on a Sunday morning. The place was pretty much empty and it was a buffet style brunch, which isn't my preference, but I was the staff were all friendly and attentive.
The restaurant is a bit dingy, food on the seats and stains on the carpet. A lot of the food in the buffet was lukewarm. The only positive about the food was the omelet station, which was freshly made to order. The mimosas were also good, but for $35.00 a person, I don't think it was very good value.
It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good enough for me to want to return.
The restaurant was chosen for a quiet business lunch meeting. I was expecting a high end restaurant for the hotel location. We were the only two people to set foot in the restaurant on a Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. The food was okay the service was great but the place felt dirty and grungy. The carpets needed vacuuming and the comfortable, padded chair seats were dirty and had crumbs. Sadly, I won't return.
My husband and I had a great experience dining there.
The food and drinks were quite good and nicely presented, but the cocktails and wine were pretty pricey. The restaurant itself is quiet and classy, and the service was really good. The staff was also friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Get a table near the fireplace. Those are the best seats in the house.
We had Sunday brunch there yesterday. The buffet was fantastic including: omelets made to order, prime rib, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, etc. The price was $34.95 each and well worth it.
Very pleasant dining experience. Service unobtrusive but really focused on our experience. Food is great.
We had a few unexpected changes to our reservation and the restaurant manager, Michael Shay could not have handled it any better. A wonderful experience for a special occasion. Food and service was A++++. Highly recommend if you are looking for something different, attention to detail and great food, especially the desserts. The berry cobbler and Key Lime pie are incredible.
Celebrated a birthday with a family brunch. Relaxed atmosphere, attentive service, and tasty variations on traditional brunch fare.
I feel like the presentation level has gone down. No more chocolate croissants. Their pastry selection used to be amazing. Please add back croissants chocolate croissants please. The service was great Vicky was our server. I felt like it was a little light on the food selections compared to past times
We have been dining at the Meritage for many years. We arrived @ 10:45 for brunch. In the past, we were able to order off of the regular breakfast menu, at that time. Our waiter, Marco, told us that it was too late, & that the buffet was the only thing available to us, at that time.
Another table, who arrived after us, received menus. I went to the hostess, who provided me with menus.
Other than that, the service was good , as was the food ;-)
The food is absolutely amazing! Service was very prompt and courteous, with excellent suggestions.
The brunch was filled with hotel guests and kids. Not really an upscale brunch. Hotel guests were really just there for a meal not for a nice brunch. Food was ok.
We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on August 23 at the Meritage. Our waitress said a full bar was available but we ordered wine. After wine and dinner, we wanted to order two brandies. After some time, the waitress came over to say they had no brandy. She said the manager looked in the basement and could find no brandy. We were shocked .

We brought our friends here on Sat night. They loved it ~ we loved it.
Thanks again Meritage!
We were totally surprised by how wonderful the food was! It definitely wasn’t your typical “hotel food.” My friend and I both had fish- She had the salmon and I had the potato wrapped halibut. Both were cooked to perfection. The service was great.
Slow service although the restaurant was empty. Very cold (AC was ridiculously low), dark, stuffy... many better options to eat around that area.
We had a very delicious and enjoyable time at brunch on Saturday. It was a Father’s Day celebration of three generations of fathers.
Overall the service was above average - only negative is their zeal in wanting to clear your plate - put your fork down for 30 seconds and there is a hand reaching for your plate.
Our waiter did a great job making sure we were happy.
We should not have ordered mixed drinks as the waiters are the bartender- but that is not their training.
Steaks were good - order one temperature lower than you normally would. Medium rare is closer to medium.
All dishes very good. We had a positive experience overall
Good food and a nice quiet atmosphere. We enjoyed the big juicy well prepared steak and grilled asparagus. We were not disappointed at all.
We have been dinners at Meritage since it opened. We went if for Mother's Day dinner and I ordered the $55 Buffalo Tenderloin which is my favorite item on the menu and also the most expensive. All of the prior tenderloins would melt in your mouth as they were so tender. The tenderloin I was served had a ton of gristle and much of it was not chew-able. I am thinking a $2 steak at a truck stop would have been a better piece of meat.
I complained to management and they felt I should get a free $7 appetizer the next time I come in. In my book this is unacceptable for compensating for me ordering the most expensive item on the menu. My take is that management is really not interested in having repeat customers.
The rest of the meal was fine. Service was very good.
Great food and service. I arrived at 945 for a 9:00 pm reservation. Despite the restaurant nea4 closing NG, they fit us in and made my wife and I two great meals. Beautiful ambience.
The sorel mushrooms had so much batter I couldn't taste the mushrooms. The scampi was ok but not very flavorful. The service was spotty and pedestrian. There was a time several years ago where the Meritage was gourmet but they have lost all their kitchen and wait talent. The lack of clientele showed us that we were slow to tune in. Pity.
I needed to change the number in my party and no one was answering the phone. Service was slow. Food was ok but not special.
It took a long time to get our food. It was close to an hour. We were told that they were slammed. There were not many people in the restaurant.
Bread was not given to us while we waited. We had to ask for it.
They provided one soup as an apology while we waited.
We decided to take the leftovers home.
The waitperson brought the boxes to our table and left them for us to makeup our own boxes.
The service was excellent! The food was also high quality but unfortunately the dinner chef chooses to use to much salt on his food. The chef should really learn to turn it down and moderate the amount of salt he's using and let patrons choose how much salt to use or not.
Our waiter was great and checked on us to make sure everything was going well and the food tasted great.
A couple things that could be improved upon: when the hostess greeted us, she asked us if we wanted the buffet or to order off of the menu and forgot to say good morning. We had never been to the restaurant so it could be good for her to ask if the patrons have ever dined there and tell/remind them about the buffet and the regular menu options.
For the busboy, he needs to actually clean off the entire table with the appropriate cleaners instead of using another table's napkins that other patrons used. This is a four-diamond hotel and should be treated as such.
The very best of service! The buffet was beautiful, but if you wanted to eat off of the menu, it was very limited
The lamb chops were phenomenal. The risotto was a bit too al dente. The salmon was good. Prices seemed high.
