I took my college student for a nice dinner and couldn’t have been more pleased. The room was cozy and comfortable. The lightening was perfect -not too bright but not dark. Everyone from the hostess to the server to the owner made us feel welcome. The food was outstanding. It is pricey but I felt it was a good value based upon its quality and creativity. I will visit again the next time I’m in Indianapolis.

We have been to Meridian a handful of times and needless to say this last visit didn't disappoint. We are always excited to eat there as their food is such an adventure to the tongue and mouth. My favs are the Charcuturie Board( I know that's spelled wrong, sorry) the beet salad. fried oysters. We've had the filet, duck, chicken, pork chops....all very good! Desserts, wow as well.

The food was excellent. Menu choices enable my wife to try some new things. She loved the steak tartar. The halibut was perfectly prepared and loved the saffron rice. The servise was timely without being obtrusive. Great birthday dinner.

I went here for Valentine’s Day dinner with my boyfriend. I made our reservation through the Open Table app a month and a half ahead of time. I have a feeling that the restaurant did not have my reservation when I arrived. I had to say my name a couple times and spell it out, and the hostess still looked confused, however, she did find us a table and seat us without saying anything or making a scene, so I appreciated that.
I had never been here and was super excited. The food was very good. Dinner was extremely pricey, though that was to be expected with the special holiday menu. I was a little disappointed in my filet. It was cooked to the perfect temperature, however, it was more chewy than I expected. For the price, I would have expected it to have been better quality meat. Filet should melt in your mouth.
Our service was decent. The server was polite and friendly. I did feel at times like the servers were standing around the edges staring at us, and that was slightly awkward.
The most fantastic part of the whole meal was the atmosphere. It was low lighting and a beautiful old house that the restaurant is in. Wood paneling surrounds the dining room. It was very romantic!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Warm almost cozy, but not crowded or stifling. Salmon was perfect, steak moderately good. Would recommend to anyone and well worth the25 mile drive

One of our party had food undercooked and full of fat - 3/4 of the piece of meat
The waiter took it back and came out stating that the cut of meat is just that way and you would be eating the same type of meat if you ordered another one. Another in our party had the same meal and it had little to no fat, so they did not want to take care of the customer. Also, the waiter disappeared for long periods of time leaving us with empty "everything"
Plenty of places to eat in Indy, will not go back - don't waste your time and $$

The Meridian is one of my favorite places and I always enjoy dining there. I always have the fried oysters appetizer. They are perfect. I love the Brussels salad. Tonight my entree was the pork chop. I will probably get two more meals from the entree; it was delicious as always. The Winter menu has a yummy new bread pudding. The banana ice cream with it has a very natural flavor. I have nothing but praise for the food and for our server, Christian.
The other reason I chose The Meridian on this particular evening (in addition to the above paragraph) was because I am recovering from a fall and they have a ramp. Unfortunately the ramp had not been cleared and had both ice and snow. I had to use the steps. When I mentioned this to the hostess she laughed. When we left, the ramp still had ice and snow. That is why my overall rating was just 4 stars.

We enjoyed our evening at Meridian with friends as part of the Devour Indy promotion. The food was delicious and well presented. Glad we got the 3 course meal as it allowed us to try different items and the serving sizes were more European (smallish).

I dined her with my mother before a show at Clowes Memorial Hall (only about 5 minutes away). The restaurant sits directly off Meridian Street in, what I can only assume, is an old home. The interior is very beautiful and spacious. Our service was excellent from start to finish and we enjoyed all of our dishes. A great restaurant for special occasions in Indianapolis.

The food was solid and delicious. Every dish and cocktail was on point. We were all very satisfied and would come back. Our server, Christian made beverage recommendations that complimented our meals perfectly. Service was A+.

The food was delicious. The only problem was our server also had another big party. Of course this big party was taking all of his time and attention. We sat there for 20 minutes before we could even order. I had to eat half of my dinner without any water because no one filled it up.

Arrived late to our reservation. It was crowded but no excuse for 25 minutes before orders taken. By then only time for appetizers of fried oysters which were OK but not great. Not sure be back.

Just had soup and salad. Bean soup was pretty good. Wedge salad was mediocre. Courtney was our server. She was excellent. Attentive, timely, very professional.

Good quality food, nice presentation. We had mussels, beet salad (amazing!), steak and salmon. Followed up by donuts , flourless chocolate cake, and port. Everything was delicious maybe just missing that little extra something (can’t explain what it is) for a high quality restaurant. The service was solid and they accommodated my open table reservation request with ease. One interesting point for improvement - they had valet parking when we left, but not when we arrived (5.15 reservation). Would have been a nice touch when we arrived .

This place was amazing. My family always wanted to stop in and finally got the chance. Everything was fantastic. The food was cooked perfectly, the waiter was one of the best I’ve ever had, and my family eats out a lot, and the interior of this building was spectacular. I can’t wait to go back but just so you know the menu changes seasonally so if you see something you like you better get it while you can.

My husband and I came for the Devour Indy Experience. We always want to try places we never really heard of and see if we will come again. I had some pros and cons about this place.
Pro: I love the ambience of the restaurant. Wooded inside with candles all around. Very romantic. The valet and staff were so nice. William our waiter was so friendly!! Definitely a place to have a wedding or other social events. The appetizer corn purée was very good. Great flavor. The dessert carrot cake was good too.
Con: Unfortunately, the entree was a disappointment. The wine was very watery. The salmon was ok. The sweet potato cake was very dry. The broccoli rabe was very bland even when we put salt and pepper on it. My husband did not like his short rib. He thought that his was very bland also.
Not sure if we will go back. I feel bad about because it was such a beautiful place. Maybe will try again.
