Meridian Ratings and Reviews
I love to have dinner at Meridian. The atmosphere is upscale log cabin/ski chalet.
Beautiful, cozy, inviting. The service is very good. The menu changes from time to time,
and it is creative and delicious. Love the brussel sprouts sale, the boar bolognese pasta,
wonderful salmon with a crispy exterior. I only wish they had a working gas fireplace in their fireplace. That's all that is missing!
Delicious food with a large variety of options. My husband’s quiche and salad looked amazing! I had the spinach salad and it was very good and fresh. Our server was very attentive and took excellent care of us. The decor was very rustic and it made me feel right at home!
Very disappointed with the menu. My wife is much more of a foodie. Any restaurant that doesn’t have steak on the menu is ignoring diners like myself. My fault for not reviewing the menu before booking a reservation. Have had great steaks there before so I assumed they would have them. Live and learn!
I'd consider myself a serious "foodie." Meridian is quite possibly the very best restaurant experience I've ever had on every level -- service, food, ambiance, atmosphere -- oh, did I mention SERVICE and FOOD??? Absolutely, without question, Indy's best kept culinary secret.
We’ve driven past this place for years when traveling to Indy. We recently moved here so we deceided to finally give it a try. So glad we did. In a nutshell: dine here for the flavors & food preparation. The food is unique & inovated with being too far out. Aubergine(eggplant) soup was amazing. Nice puréed consistency & served at just the right temperature. The roasted & braised vegetables that accompanied the melt in your mouth short ribs could have been a meal on their own. The pumpkin creme brûlée was delicious & definitely big enough to share. I was not a huge fan of the cranberry jam on top but it was easy to move aside. The pumpkin underneath was smooth & creamy. Not too sweet or overspiced either. Ask for Tasoula, she’s an excellent server.
For the first time ever, I had terrible food at lunch with a friend who'd never been there!!!
Corn chowder was like wallpaper paste, and the BLT was on ciabatta bread!! Awful choice of bread for that kind of sandwich!! Why not some great thick sliced whole wheat bread?
Service was good & I normally love dining for lunch or dinner at The Meridian, however, yesterday was not the day!!! Terrible first impression for someone who was looking forward to having lunch there!!!
Celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary with a wonderful meal at Meridian. My wife enjoyed the beet salad and the grouper entree and I enjoyed the caprese salad and duck. I'm not normally a duck guy but I took our waitresses recommendation and I was glad I did. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. For dessert we had the Swiss roll and the doughnuts. Both great, but oh, the doughnuts! Charming setting and great service!
We don't live in Indianapolis, but when researching where to redeem our $100 dining check, we were excited to discover Meridian. The atmosphere, ambiance, excellent service and food were all perfect for celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary. My husband had the sweetbread appetizer and grouper. I had the absolutely delicious smoked corn chowder and the duck. All the food was amazing and we look forward to our next visit!
Lovely early Sunday dinner with a friend. Enjoyed the heirloom caprese and the chicken and grits. Good wine selection. Desserts a little disappointing but overall very pleasant experience in a quiet, convenient location. (Didn't order this time but their corn chowder is amazing!)
