We had reservations for 7:45. The smug and unapologetic hostess told us it would be 20 minutes. We and many others sat waiting, so much that there were not enough seats to accommodate the couples. The piano players music was turned up so loud that I could not have a conversation with my wife sitting at the bar. While at the bar one of the male managers that was older seemed to be more interested in flirting with the blond ladies at the bar than making sure customers were happy or attempting to make them happy. We finally were seated 30+ minutes later at our table and then our waiter was in no hurry to take our orders or any showing any sense of urgency. We watched as another couple that was seated shortly after us get up and leave. We finished our bottle of wine and left, I was not going to wait until 9 o'clock at night. Prior to us leaving we saw the bartender and we told her we were leaving. She was the only one that cared. She stated that this restaurant always overbooks and it was not indicative of being the Saturday after Valentine's. If you want to eat within an hour of your reservation do not go to this place. Stick with places like Del Frisco's or Eddie V's that take care of their patrons.
We had a reservation for 7:30 at 8:30 there was no end in sight for dining. I have no issue waiting
but no one offered any update or any type of update on status. We moved on to another steak house that was equally busy but offered exceptional service. Rare moment for us that we experienced poor service.

First off made a reservation for tonight at 7:30, got to the restaurant at 7:15 and was told there was a bigger party that had to be seated so that was no problem. We waited 35 minutes before finally being seated. We were then asked kindly by the manager to move to a more private spot to accommodate a bigger party so we did so which wasn't a big deal. Then the horror began. Our waiter came over with no personality at all to get our drink order which took 15 minutes to arrive also but that's beside the point. We then order appetizers that never showed up to be followed by some rare steaks when we ordered medium WELL. I even pulled up a chart on google to compare the steaks and they looked nothing like we requested. I asked him to cook them a little more and he gave me attitude as he yanked the plates out of our hand. Did I mention we were told they RAN OUT OF BREAD? I get it's valentines weekend but how in the world do you run out of....bread? We were told they had to run to get more when I saw multiple tables served bread. At this point I'm just ready for the check.
Silver lining: at least the food was excellent once we got the correctly ordered steaks.
All in all terrible service 1 out of 10.
We waited an hour to get our table we had a "reservation" for, only to then be sat and ignored for another 10 minutes by everyone. No one came to offer us water, bring a menu, etc. So we finally left, after being there for 1 hr and 15 minutes. We will not go back, service was horrible and I felt ignored.

Our experience was rocky from the start. Getting our beverages was challenging. The server only took a drink order from 2 of the 4 people then darted away. After a while she finally came back and we were able to finish ordering. The food was good but the menu is not descriptive and we weren’t to sure what exactly we were ordering. Over all the service was lacking, definitely not what you would expect for a table spending $350.
Hands down the most pathetic excuse for a steakhouse ever. We were seated at 8pm. The waitress got our water and gave us a valentines menu. I asked about the appetizers because it was a seafood tower and I’m allergic to shrimp and her response was “ I don’t know, nobody has ordered it. Well... at that point I was questioning my choice in restaurants.. we ordered off the regular menu and got some calamari which had been fried, dried, Refried until the consistency of tire rubber, and served. We had Caesar salads which were every color of the rainbow ( rotted lettuce) except the color of lettuce. I was repulsed. Then dinner was served.. no wait.. not our food.. someone else’s.. we waited another 45 minutes and our waitress asked if we wanted dessert to which I replied” I’d like to have dinner first”. She walked off shocked that we hadn’t had our main course yet.. after another 30 minutes we asked for the manager who tried to compensate us with a gift card to return.. I refused, laughed, and left..
Overall the service experience was extremely poor. The steak was great but the lobster tail had poor taste. I will not be returning.

Not even close to the service or food quality since they moved. No bread at our table but everywhere else. Could not open a wine bottle. Ordered creamed spinach and never received. Watiress noticed that when I asked for check. Chicken went home to my dog. Steak so, so. This is why we are Ruth’s Chris fans. Could have saved a ton o money and eaten at the Outback in Burleson!!! Never again. Too bad cuz we really liked everything about the old place. Great bartenders in the new place though.
We went for Valentines Day dinner at 4:00pm and the staff was still setting up and speaking very loudly next to our table. It killed the atmosphere. The food was great. I had a filet cooked perfectly and my wife had salmon which was also perfect. Overall it was a good experience with great food and reasonable prices. I’d certainly recommend to others just work a little on atmosphere.
For the price... it just didn't think it was worth... the drinks menu is WAY overpriced.

Our server, Michael was attentive at first, then he was hit or miss. He did not even take our order or deliver our food. I had also been promised a discount from Arthur approved by Zack. Michael said he would get him, but never did.
Getting THREE scallops in my dish was beyond disappointing. The salad was very nice, though. My boyfriend was very happy with his dinner, and it was his birthday, so that made me happy.
My first visit to Mercury Chophouse years ago in the Dallas area was much better.
If my boyfriend wants to go back, we will, but it would not be my first choice for fine dining.

Food from appetizers to dessert was delicious and enjoyed the piano music. Horrible table. Wouldn’t change when requested; therefore service was inefficient if not lacking. $200+ would have been appropriate with proper service. Will not go back..too bad

Had reservations at 7:00 pm. We were the only people eating at that time and only one other couple came in while we were there till 9:00pm. We all ordered steaks, mine was well done when asked for MR, and it was over aged . My friends steak was raw when asked for MR. Sides were fine, service was great!! I've been here numerous times and it's always been great. I will go again in hopes it will be better, maybe it was just an off night

Although every item the 6 of us ordered was very good, the evening was made special by the remarkable attention and perfect service of our waiter, Mike. Hearing that two of us wanted lamb but needed mint jelly, he apologized that there was none in the restaurant; somehow, a short time later, it materialized! He was, on all counts, a perfect waiter and Mercury Chop House is lucky to have him. On the food front, great kudos for the lamb shank and night's special sea bass. Brandy Alexanders rounded out a great meal
Made a 9 pm reservation, showed up 20 min early to find out there was a 2 hour wait. Left and immediately went to Del Frisco’s.
This was the worst experience my wife and I have had in years. We had reservations @ 9 PM.
We were sat around until 9:30, after waiting for 20 minutes to be sat. Then another 20 minutes to get water, and no menus, seems a little foolish to pay $60 per person, eh?
We left and went to Eddie v’s and got superb service. Don’t go here, let them fail and go out of business. Only the strong survive.
We were never greeted, seated or served. Did not end up staying. It was NYE. Had 830 reservation. Arrived and heard many patrons stuffed inside the entry grumbling about already being overbooked and more than one hour behind on seating those with reservations.
We had rsvp for 4. We all waited 20 minutes to simply notify a host or manager of our arrival. No one showed. We called Ruth’s Chris and they were able to seat us immediately and went over there and enjoyed a usual wonderful meal and tasty cocktails and desserts with great friends and had great service at a prime table, so the night ended up well. I had not been to the chophouse in quite a number of years and had really been looking forward to revisiting.
I realize a busy night such as NYE is probably not the best night to judge a restaurant by, however, no host or managers to greet new patrons or explain the wait just makes the villagers more angry.
I still want to try Mercury Chophouse but I’m not anxious to revisit anytime soon.
Do not attempt this restaurant during a holiday season. Management did have a clue. Restaurant was under staffed with little support from management. Staff was getting berated by patrons for reasons they couldn't control. First and last time to make reservation at this location.
Ended up making another reservation at a different restaurant while waiting for basic service. Which was a much better experience.
Made a reservation through Open Table two days in advance. Reservation was for 8:00 PM. Arrived shortly before 8:00 and stood in line for 30 minutes before even seeing a hostess. There were people in line in front of us that had reservations for 7:30 that had not been able to check in either. The manager finally took our names and said there would be a long wait, even though we all had reservations. After waiting for 45 minutes, there were still people in front of us that had reservations for 7:00 PM still waiting to be seated. I can’t comment on the food here because we left without being seated and went to Silver Fox instead.
Used OpenTable to try to find a reservation at the last minute for New Year’s Eve with my wife. Was interested in trying out someplace new. Mercury Chophouse kept coming up. With all of the more recent reviews being very positive, I thought I would give it a try. We were not disappointed! We were an hour early for our reservation. No problem! They sat us immediately. The service was wonderful. Everyone kept checking on us to be sure we had water and bread. Our waitress gave us regular updates on status of our order (as if we were in a hurry...not). The food was excellent both in taste and temperature. And while not somewhere I can personally afford to eat often, it is now definitely on my recommended list for places for special occasions. Not sure when, but we will go back!
Unfortunately our whole experience was a miss. We were seated right away, greeted within a timely manor but thats about all the good we could say. Poor lighting at our table though I can't speak for the restaurant as a whole. The alcohol beverages that we ordered were not what we expected from a place at the price point that is charged. The waitress came back to take our order and from that point on was not around for a good 25-30 mins. She was completely "in the weeds" as its called in the industry meaning very overwhelmed. The food was dropped off then we never got a check back after receiving our food to make sure everything was good. In fact I had finished my meal and my husband had eaten all of the sides but needed his steak altered. (The mistake was my husbands because it was written on the menu but he situation could have been helped) The prime rib was soaked in brown gravy/Au Jus that made the meat super salty and overpowered the meat so my husband whipped it clean as well as possible to salvage but needed a new plate since the sauce covered the whole plate and some horseradish sauce for cutting the remaining salty flavor. We waited until the steak was cold and we were done with everything else before the "check back" from the waitress happened. at least 25 mins.. I tried multiple times to politely flag another employee but were we were seated was off the path (No mans land!) everything was super salty!!! The sides at $9 a piece were mediocre at best. We tried really hard to keep a positive vibe and find the good points but the bad greatly over weighed. I would like to disclaimer that we love and frequently go to nice or even fine dining places around 10-12 times a year so our complains are not only from having expectations but also from past experiences dining many other establishments over the years. We were at the restaurant over 2 and a half hours and it could have been done in an hour and a half. $182 later plus tip we finally left very disappointed.
My extended family enjoyed a wonderful dinner together on Christmas Day. I’m so glad that the Mercury Chophouse is open on Christmas. It has become a family tradition for us that we all look forward to. The food and service is consistently good. I love their menu and the Special Christmas menu is a delicious option as well.

The service was outstanding.
Three of us order off of the holiday menu, three courses for $40. The Chicken Cordon Blue was outstanding. The salad was the the best salad I’ve had in a long time. Love it!! The Apple pie dessert was a nice, warm treat.

Managers were very accommodating, as we were celebrating our fancy little ladies evening out (three girls 7-12yrs old). There was no kids menu, so they allowed the girls to order, then split their appetizer & dinner servings....even bringing it out on seperate plates. The girls were able to practice their table etiquette, and social skills. It's definitely an adult friendly restaurant, but they made our girls feel special just the same!!!
After-concert dinner was delicious and well presented. Service was wonderful! Will eat there again!
Ate here for Thanksgiving. Food was prompt, fresh, hot, and fabulous. There were 5 of us and we all were very impressed overall. The food was geared towards the traditional foods and was delightful. There was soft music in the background, not loud, and perfect for table conversation. Service was excellent! Highly recommend, but it’s hard because we kind of want to keep it a secret. :). Thank you, Mercury Chophouse! It was left up to me to pick for my family and my father can be picky. He was very complimentary!! Mission accomplished.
