Merchant’s Row has great breakfast. The menu is very reasonable with all breakfast choices. The cost is excellent and portions are a good size.
Coffee is very good as well as orange juice.
A great choice for a Sunday morning breakfast! Certainly a good value and great location, parking and friendly folks.
As always..... great meal and great service!
Quintessential New England restaurant and Inn. Great food and service, beautiful room and location. Just a really nice experience overall.
We went for the Indian pudding, and that was the highlight for sure. Other good things: good drink selection, good bread, tasty pot roast and good salad considering the winter season. Not as good: Both my wife's hot cider drink and my pot roast came out not hot enough, and the lobster roll was nothing special. Also service was a bit slow on the uptake at times. But for comfort food and especially that Indian pudding in an atmosphere that takes you back in time a little bit (in a good way), Merchants Row is good.
Food was average. The overall condition of the Inn has deteriorated and needs work. Paint, carpet, etc worn and somewhat shabby.
A very nice setting for a delicious Sunday brunch with many choices. Warm and welcoming setting.
We have been to the Inn many times. We had dinner in the larger bar. Service was wonderful as always. However, the food is ok and a bit overpriced - $3.00 for an oyster! Also, very loud and small children were in the bar running around under tables, etc. and to add to it a band. Has a fireplace that was roaring and the room was crowded and very warm. Hopefully they can dim the sound .
The menu remains uninspiring. It will be a few years before we go back in the hope the menu is better again.
Excellent sole stuffed with crabmeat. Fantastic cornbread and a delicious dessert. After lunch we enjoyed sitting in front of the fire in the Parlor. we highly recommend a visit
The ambience is very warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, but the wait was long for the omelet station. It was worth the wait! I liked the variety of food and the deserts looked scrumptious! I always dine there for special occasions and look forward to my next trip. Thank you.
The restaurant is located in a historic old inn in a lovely town. Beautifully decorated for Christmas with gingerbread houses, poinsettias and Christmas trees, etc. There are several restaurants to choose from.
It was very nice. Food was good and atmosphere is really setup for Christmas in the colonial world. Only issue -the service is a little slow -as if they don't have enough staff.
Everything was very good. The pot roast was done well and tasty. The ambiance is great and would recommend to all to go and check out the Colonial vibes
a quiet place for a breakfast, reasonably price.
Vegetarian omelet was good, nothing out of the ordinary. Substitutions for sides easily accommodated.
Service was attentive without being intrusive.
We were not rushed.
I love this place for their 5 star food and presentation. A hidden gem. My steak melted in my mouth along with the savory appetizers. There was nothing colonial about the taste, a great cosmopolitan meal. Go for first rate food and the colonial setting.
My friends and I visit the Boston area once a year for a mystery convention. Last year we discovered the Sunday brunch and couldn't wait to visit again this year. It was everything we had anticipated.
Thank you for the best Lobster Bisque I've ever eaten.
Brunch was very good. Lots of options. Service was excellent.
We had a family gathering for lunch on a Thursday. The service and food was exceptional.
Made a reservation, got there and they told me that I was not on the list and the dining room was closing and I would need to relocate to another dining area for brunch. Once sat we overheard they still had breakfast, and were able to order. There was no information on the menu stating higher pricing for gluten free so paid way more than anticipated. Service was slow and wasted $65 on myself and two children, since they don’t have a child’s menu (ages 7 and 10) and we wasted half the food!!
Nice atmosphere but the food wasn't very good. Very mediocre.
