This was our second exceptional meal at mercato. We ate in one of their outdoor bubbles on a February evening. Everything was extremely clean and our bubble was toasty warm. Exceptional covid dining experience!!

Overall a good dinner but the inside of the restaurant was absolutely freezing which made it difficult to enjoy the experience.

Timing was perfect- not slow but also not rushed. The market salad was so good! Also had meatball app which was delicious. The portion sizes for the entrees were HUGE. I mean like each entree is two large meals. Lamb pasta was amazing and so was gnocchi Gorgonzola. Waiters were very friendly.

The food, service and atmosphere were outstanding.
We felt safe and were socially distanced from the other patrons.
I would strongly recommend this restaurant. We had a great experience.

We ate outside in their “bubble “ and it was very comfortable, not cold at all! We had the crab and lobster bisque and the clam toast, both of which were very good, my son had the trout and said it was Good, the portion was a bit small, I had the risotto which was good but I expected more flavor and more to it, not much shellfish in it, the last dish was the triangle pasta, again not a lot of flavor, all I could taste was the tomato sauce, it was nice that it was a byob, I’ve eaten at most of the restaurants in Philadelphia so I’m afraid my expectations have become pretty high since there are so many good restaurants to choose from, all in all a solid place with very good service,

Small quaint restaurant, felt a little rushed and employees didn't seem too welcoming at first. Besides that the food was outstanding, had the pyramid pasta and ate the entire plate. Food was very very good. Would definitely go back!

We sat outside in the cute little bubble. It was warm enough to remove our jackets. The food was average, I ordered shirt ribs my boyfriend ordered the crab pasta. We enjoyed ourselves, especially since our options during Covid were limited. I would return.

Celebrated a friends bday here recently. The food was amazing and we loved the ambiance. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something casual and intimate.

Mercato is a special place to my boyfriend and I. From the food to the service, it is amazing. We love to go every chance that we have and it is amazing. Feels like family and from the Market Meat Board to their Pork Chop Parm (seasonal items) to their Tiramisu is amazing. And the fact that it is a BYOB is pretty amazing too. Absolutely recommend to anyone that is looking for a nice cozy spot in the city with amazing food and vibes. And if you don't want to dine out, you can order takeout and the food is still as amazing!!

We had a lovely experience at Mercato! It was our first dine-in (indoor) experience since the summer and it was much needed. Covid-wise: they're very diligent. All tables spaced out nicely with plexiglass in-between, all servers in masks/shields, QR code menus, etc.

We got the Whipped Ricotta and Fig Toast + Mussels as our appetizers. They are both pretty sizeable appetizers and both delicious! My husband got the Crab Fra Diavlo which got the thumbs up from him plus a good (high) spicy-level which he likes. I got the Pyramid Pasta which was encouraged by the server who told me it had been on the menu since they opened 15 years ago. Delicious flavors and a perfect portion size. Finally, we got the Classic Tiramisu, which was perfectly sweet and moist.

The food came out promptly throughout the meal and they kindly let us linger a bit after dessert to enjoy the rest of our wine. If I were to make one constructive criticism, it's that the music was pretty loud from our table and it was all the same artist (lol). Minor comment but made for a bit of a comical ambience; felt like we were at a sponsored concert by said artist. But if that's the only comment, you're doing a great job.

Attentive service without being overbearing. I appreciated that they made sure to confirm our seating preference, since Philadelphia’s Covid restrictions have been changing. We preferred to sit outside, in one of the “bubbles”, and it did a great job of blocking the wind while the space heater packed more of a punch than we expected. The food was truly fantastic and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and will absolutely return.

Outdoor dining experience here was so great. We sat in a bubble and felt very safe. The food was incredible. I got the Bronzino which was absolutely amazing and I ate every last bite. My fiancé got the chicken parm and the sauce was one of the best I’ve ever made.

It has been a while since I've been to Mercato. The food and services was A++++. I will definitely be back soon.

I brought my girlfriend here for a Birthday dinner. Her favorite restaurant. It definitely Lived up to expectations. We will be returning here many more times in the future. Highly recommended for a quiet night out with great food and ambiance.

Mercato's food is always reliably excellent. It was wonderful to eat out while the weather was still nice enough. Most of the outdoor tables were spaced far enough apart. My only issue is that although the propane firelamps were aesthetically beautiful, they did not emanate much heat. They were more for show. On a colder night they would have been useless.

Our favorite 'go to" place in Philly!!! We love the food, the people and the location. It's never disappointing! We love it!

We sat outside in a cute little bubble and had the most delicious meal. This is our favorite byob in the city. Service and food are always great. Don’t miss the meatballs or the pyramid pasta. The fig toast was super tasty.

I wish I knew we only had 90 minutes BEFORE we made the reservation. We were rushed through each course, and the host was annoyed when we were taking our time eating & talking. I haven't seen these friends since March so we were taking our time.

It felt like the host (male, mid-30's) was so annoyed with us, even after spending $180 for dinner and leaving a very generous tip.

I understand the stresses of these restaurants, but there's never a need to be rude. Make it clear when people are booking that the res is for 90 minutes.

The noise level was because we were there they day Biden passed 270 and Philadelphia went wide. Mercato is probably our favorite restaurant. Always excellent.

My wife & I celebrated an anniversary at Mercato we loved it. We ate outside and enjoyed every bite.
