Mercat

Mercat is a great place for a romantic dinner, a small group, patio seating and pre-show meals. The food and drinks are great, service has always been excellent and we’ve made it a regular spot when we’re downtown.

We just enjoyed a great dinner tonight. We were lucky to have Leo as our personable server. He made the evening so nice- taking note of a nut allergy, pacing our meal perfectly and even asking the chef to make a quiche that is usually only served at brunch. We were a little worried about going out now, but tables were far apart and people were spaced well. This is a great spot to eat, especially now.

The best Quiche I’ve ever had!!

We went there for a quick meal before a Mavericks game. The food was very good and it was an easy walk to AA Center.

Mercat is one of our longstanding favorites. We enjoy everything about our dinners there. If you don't know Brunch is excellent here as well. It has a wonderful French ambiance and they are always indulgent about our preference for a leisurely dinner.

I really enjoyed both Mercat for breakfast and dinner. They accommodated my dietary restrictions and still produced outstanding dishes. Great setting for a girls night, date, etc. I will be back!

The food and the service were really good. We really enjoyed the pastries.

Food is very good. Service was not. Initially I wasn’t given a drink menu, had to ask for one. I requested ketchup with my fries & never got it. I also ordered a cortado & was given a cappuccino. That was disappointing.

Worst service ever. We were having our annual girls lunch at Mercat like we have done in years past. What a disappointment. We waited 30 minutes for the cheese and honey appetizer. It literally is a small slice of cheese and honey. Not to difficult to prepare. Then finally got to order. It took forever. We could not get refills of water .... had to ask anyone walking by. They we wanted to leave and had to go track our waitress down !!!!
There are too many amazing places in Dallas to spend your time and money there.

Had a wonderful Saturday date night starting at around 6pm. We ordered the escargot, crabcake appetizer, French onion soup, side salad, scallops, and creme brûlée. Everything was delicious. Could’ve used another small slice of bread or two to eat with the escargot and soak up the butter. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed how quiet it was but it definitely started to fill in and get louder by the time we left around 7:15pm. We topped off the evening with espresso which was also good. We will be back.

We had our Christmas luncheon for 16 people and were fortunate enough to be seated in an area surrounded by white Christmas trees and animated bears. It was so special!

Absolutely delightful! We ordered the pancakes and the crepes, and both were light and airy! Would highly recommend, especially around Christmas 🎄✨

A Dallas favorite - feels like you’re in Paris

Yummy food. Went as part of a girls weekend, so was great for brunch. Fun French atmosphere and delicious drinks.

We celebrated our Anniversary here. The GM, Cinthia, was so kind to treat for a drink since my steak was over cooked. The second try was perfect and delicious! The server brought a cheesecake for dessert too. All ended beautifully! We will surely go back!

Our waiter was great and the food was amazing.

Once we got in to the restaurant, things were good. However, the parking situation is a complete disaster. The only way I'd go back is if I used a car service to get me there and pick me up. It's really a shame, too, because the place is worth checking out.

I expected good food, but found the meal bland. I grill a better steak at home. Asparagus had no seasoning just salt and butter. There are chefs and there are cooks. Where is the chef?

Great ambience inside the restaurant. Food was good. Service was excellent-very friendly and personable. I don’t like the parking situation. Garage spaces for visitors are hard to come by unless they’re on the upper floors.

Pasta night doesn't disappoint. The food was so yummy! Add steak to your pasta for sure. The service was fine.

Impeccable service and great good!

Always a winner for a special occasion or bringing out of towners to brunch. Parking is always a challenge and the restroom situation is weird, but food, ambience and service are exceptional.

The staff was as good as the food. We arrived and asked the hostess for an outside table, she went to check and in a span of two minutes four different employees stopped and made sure we were being helped. The service was very attentive from start to finish.

Positives:
- Our server was amazingly courteous & kind.
- Fruit mimosa drink was also amazing.
- Love the fully shaded patio area.

Concerns:
- We didn’t get the food we ordered.
- I got the wrong omelette (ordered the eggs white but got something else) & neither of us got the bacon we ordered.
- There was foil from the Champaign bottle in my drink.

In spite of the hick-ups, we ate all the food we ordered, & had an enjoyable experience.
