Always an outstanding experience and food!
First time going there . We will definitely be going back!
We stopped in for brunch before flying out. The food and service were wonderful. The hostess kindly offered to stow our carryons in the office; our waiter kept our coffee and water full. I had the croque madame (HUGE but delicious), and my mom had the Quiche Lorraine (also large and delicious). The coffee was strong, and the decor was beautiful. I definitely recommend it.
Valentine’s Day meal fixed prixe. Usual great service and the food was excellent. Very satisfied.
Lovely place for a Valentines dinner with my wife!
Food was sub par. Tasteless beeet salad with over cooked wets and spinach that has been frozen. Salmon was unseasoned. Lamb was raw and sent it back. Only 3 small lamb chops and my husband was starving after the meal. Disappointed.
It was so beautiful the minute we walked in. You felt like you were somewhere special, somewhere secret, somewhere away from it all. The food was generous proportions of deliciousness, the drinks were bubbly and the service was kind. I can’t wait to go back, sit in another cozy corner and look a different direction and order another wonderful taste!
It was a beautifully intimate space with perfect service and delicious food and wine.
Excellent food and service
Beautiful atmosphere and excellent food!
Mercat is a small, charming and delicious French restaurant - great for special occasions as well as quiet business lunch.
Everything about our lunch was excellent from the food to the service! We come here often and will definitely be back again!
Really good food and great atmosphere. Great service. Small intimate space.
It had been probably a year and a half since I had eaten at Mercat and I am so glad we returned. Every single thing we ordered was delicious and perfect! Going to put it in the regular rotation!
Not the same restaurant anymore! Seems the creative work has left and they are simply pushing out mediocre food at high prices. So sad as this used to be a favorite place!
Service was very good. We were celebrating a birthday and their surprise birthday dessert was spectacular!
I was a bit disappointed in the beet salad as it had just a few cubes beets in it. I would not order it again. The avocado toast is more like a salad with a small piece of toast under it but it tasted great.
This is a romantic little restaurant with a great atmosphere and great service. Our waiter was Jorge and he was fantastic. The tables for two are a little small making it difficult to have room for plates, glasses, etc. T
The ambience and the food were great. The service was very good though could use some improvement. We were brought dinner menus at lunch and we received a wrong salad. Both of those issues were quickly and professionally resolved. I’ll be back for another business lunch or date with my wife.
Great food and service
It was a comedy of errors! Celebrating my daughters bday. Her quiche was cold so they took it back. 15 minutes later she told them just to forget it. My husband had French Dip. 1st half was good, 2nd piece of meat was inedible. I ordered muscles. They were delicious but didn’t have any sauce so had to wait for them to make more. The server was very nice and very apologetic. He actually brought 2 desserts and comped the whole meal. We were very grateful. We might try this again but not really sure. Menu was great and the food looked good. Just an unfortunate meal.
Great spot for brunch!!
I got the sole, which I always love, and I couldn't eat it. It was mushy and too lemony. They did comp my meal and brought me some salmon instead (that was quite nice), but we had to leave so I couldn't even eat most of the salmon after the delay. My husband got the beef filet with green peppercorn sauce, and it was just okay. Loved the ambience, but the food was quite disappointing.
I found the food very heavy and not very tasty. Lots of cream and cheese in our pasta. It was cooked tableside in a cheese wheel and very thick, heavy on the cream. I was not a fan of the dish and we didn't order anything else beyond a glass of red wine which was standard fare. A bit overpriced, but the ambiance was nice - just found the food mediocre, perhaps it was the pasta special I ordered.
Our server was awesome! Warm, friendly and attentive. The manager checked on us too. Food was prepared well and still came out quickly.
I had the quiche and it was delicious! My friends had the omelette and they all loved it. My almond croissant was a little burned, but other than that the food was great.
I went on Sunday morning for brunch and I have been to Mercat many times before and this time they serve my eggs over hard but they were willing to do them constantly. It was very busy very loud and you can hardly Siri. I think I prefer going in the evening I prefer their offerings better than excellent muscles and in the morning I did have an excellent English muffin
Great atmosphere & delicious food! Our waitress was delightful & had great knowledge of the menu.
It was my third time there. I did not order the right food I guess. The egg white omlette was not the best. Last time I tried Quiche (vegtable ) and liked it much better. The ambience is good.
An intimate and elegant atmosphere. The salmon was excellent and the sole was exceptional. The service was attentive, but not pretentious or overbearing. Really only good things to say about Mercat!
Missed Hannah. She was sick. Lovely evening though
GREAT spot and service. A little difficult to find, but I blame my navigation for putting me on Harry Hines and not Harwood. Server was AMAZING. We finished brunch and chatted away for another couple hours. No one tried to put us out. It's the perfect place to meet a good friend, have a great meal, and let the time pass by!!!! Definitely going back.
We had been before and enjoyed. This time the waiter was somewhat aggressive in what appeared a desire to turn over the table quickly. We ordered the charcuterie which came out within a minute. It was Pre-prepared, ice cold and the meats and cheeses hard and stuck together. Entrees were average. All in all a rushed and pricey experience.
As always, this place never fails. Spent the New Year’s Eve dinner with the hubby and Chef Gallardo as always served wonderful food. This time it was a four course meal with wine pairing and it was pure perfection! Staff as always are just wonderful!
We went for the New Years Eve dinner. The food was great. However we had no explanation of the menu. We also got the wine pairings. We asked what where the wines. We were only told: Prosecco, Pino Noir, And Chardonnay. No further information. The courses came out rapid fire. No explanation of the course as it was served. If you wanted to drop $300 for 2 ppl on NYE with your eyes closed and shovel food in your mouth, this was the place for you. Also the garden room was very cold and loud. If you love a great dining out experience, this is not the place for you. We do not plan to return
fixed menu - some options were good some fair at best. waitress wasn't knowledgeable about the menu and wasn't interested in getting answers. But has great ambience. The tried to cycle guest quickly through, it was new years eve, so I understand.
Some of the most amazing old fashions I've ever had were made here. The food was delicious as well. Boyfriend had never been but he loved the atmosphere. Perfect date night.
Perfect early dinner on New Year’s Eve!
The Prix fix menu options were each outstanding as was presentation and service. The wine flight choice was also very nice. The beef Wellington was the best I have ever tasted. Portions sizes and timing were just right. Paola, our server was perfectly tuned in and attentive when we needed her, leaving us to enjoy our dining experience and guests otherwise. The oysters Rockefeller got rave reviews as did the scallops and lobster entree. We just could not have enjoyed our visit anymore than we did.
Looking forward to our next trip to Mercat.
My “go to” brunch spot. Great atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food. I frequently host guests from out of town and make it a point to take them to Mercat.
Went for brunch on a Sunday morning. Everything was exceptional. The service, the ambiance and most especially the food. The food and drinks were as good as any we had while living in France. Don’t hesitate. You won’t be disappointed.
Mercat is one of my favorites. I especially love the Croque Madame and coffee/ pastries.
