About Menotomy Grill & Tavern
The name, Menotomy, pays homage to the Menotomy Indians and the Menotomy Village originally
Settled in 1635. The village was incorporated as the town of Arlington in 1867 following the civil
war as a tribute to Arlington National Cemetery.
Our vision for Menotomy Grill & Tavern is to bring the tavern concept back to the town of Arlington by creating a rustic grill capitalizing on the coziness of a brick house featuring fireplace, open kitchen,
exposed beams, large planked hard wood floors, and historical artifacts and photos. Fostering a
loyal following will be the key to our success, so we welcome you to join us on Facebook for news, special offers and exciting events.

Menotomy Grill & Tavern Ratings and Reviews
The roast chicken was a little overdone and a little disappointing but the dessert was fantastic...it was called rum ball pudding...it was chocolate pudding with chocolate bits and rum with rum whipped cream...delish! This is not my first time there and I have enjoyed my meals in the past.
Good local restaurant. Menu has sufficient options for dinner meals and sandwiches.
Waiter was attentive without being overly so. We let the waiter know that we were not in a hurry and he served us at our pace. Other times we've eaten there when we wanted quicker service, that was also handled nicely.
Our food orders have always been prepared as we ordered, food served hot.
We have been able to have table conversations without being distracted by the overall noise level being a problem.
We've been to the Menotomy Grill several times over the last year and will continue to return on occasion.
I was very disappointed with the "special" of the night. The meatloaf and gravy were too salty. Did not like the ketchup on the meatloaf. My friend had the cod cake dinner and was
also disappointed. Cod cakes were bland and the cole slaw was missing something. Not impressed. Rib appetizer $11 for 4 ribs was not a great deal. I have had much better. Although the meat came right off the ribs, they did not have much flavor and were just covered with BBQ sauce. Sangria was nothing special. Will not likely be back any time soon.
We had the most unpleasant end to a dinner with friends. We were abruptly asked to leave the restaurant after paying our bill as the owner interrupted someone at our table because he said he had a reservation waiting for the table. I recognize it’s a business, but we found this approach rude. It’s a shame because we enjoy the restaurant, but we won’t be going back after being treated this way.
Great brunch menu, with items for vegetarians and meat-eaters. Food well-prepared, and arrived hot. Best breakfast potatoes around, too.
The huevos rancheros could stand to have more of the avocado creme, but that's a very minor point.
Our server, Linda, was awesome! Attentive and knowledgeable.
We had dinner here for date night Friday night. We had artichoke clam dip which was great! My hisband had the pallella which was great. My fish and chips were fine but the breading on the fish was not as crispy as I would have liked. The fish inside was fine. Drinks were excellent as was the bread pudding we had for dessert! I would definitly recommend for drinks and appetizers or dessert!
Love the steak and caramelized onion flatbread, and the specials are always creative and delicious. The salads are quite large too. The only think I object to is the closeness of the tables. I feel like we're all on top of each other. It would be nice if they removed a table or 2 to create more space for service and conversation. The restaurant tends to be load anyway due to the wooden floors and brick walls. This one issue would prevent me from returning unless I could be guaranteed a booth.
We were excited to try Menotomy. Our appetizer (crab & artichoke dip) was good, but not very hot all the way through. We got the burger (very good) and the steaktips with parmesan fries and chimichurri.(really good, cooked perfect). We decided on getting a dessert-which we never do, we got a pumpkin bunt cake w vanilla icecream...description seemed off. It was VERY VERY dense. Not at all what we thought. We each took one bite and we were all set. we told the waitress and we kind of thought they would take it off the bill, but they didnt. kind of dissapointed. But over all the dinner was good and we would go back.
The drinks were amazing our waitress recommend the pumpkin martini it was really good. Our app was great too, Shrimp fritters. My chicken club sandwich was just Okay the chicken was a bit dry and I was not crazy about the bread it was served on. My friend had the meatloaf and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and very attentive.
We made a 6:15pm opentable reservation, but weren't seated until about 6:35pm. The hostess had way too much to deal with and didn't seem to have much support from others (manager, waitstaff, ....). After seating, the waitress was a bit shakey on menu items and specials, but was relatively prompt in taking order. It was a crowded Saturday night, so we expected some waiting, but it seemed a few minutes more than expected. Food was good. Drinks were simple, but good. No dessert, but overall an average night out.
Menotomy is great! Every time I have been there we have had great service and food! It's a comfortable place for any age. My dad who is in his 90's really enjoys going there. Billy Lyons is always so welcoming and makes sure everyone is having a good time. I have brought many people to Menotomy and I highly recommend it! Thanks Billy and all the Menotomy staff!!!
Great spot, excellent service. Had the grilled salmon for evening dinner...one of the BEST I've had... large portion. Wait person was very attentive , friendly. Fun and happy atmosphere...saw all ages. A bit noisey, but goes along with the atmosphere and wasn't over the top. I'll be back!
We sat in the bar area at one of the high top booths. He ordered the cod cakes and I ordered the flatbread pizza. We split a Caesar before the entrees. We were both very pleased with our meals. The waitress was efficient, despite a slow start, and pleasant. I mention the slow start, because I thought it took too long between ordering the drinks and delivering them. And we were sitting next to the bar. For that reason , I am not putting her name here. After that, service was flawless! We will definitely return.
The food was tasty and the chef was very good at using fresh herbs and ingredients. For some in my family it was too spicy but I liked it. It was nice to come so close to the city and find ample parking for once. My only complaint about the place is it was overpriced. We traveled in from the suburbs after seeing it on Chronicle but mainly because of the price we weren't impressed enough that we would come back.
My family was traveling on a college trip, and the Menotomy Grill and Tavern was next door to our hotel, so we went there for dinner. It was a Tuesday evening, and the restaurant was very lively. Food was excellent, as was the service. Would definitely go back!
