On May 27, we celebrated our 8 year anniversary here. Our server was Andy and he was great. We got seated in a nice corner that gave us a view of the whole restaurant. Since it was early, and a holiday weekend, they weren't too busy. This benefited my husband because he was able to get the potatoes without cheese where most times he can't because they are too busy to make a batch without cheese. He enjoyed a house salad and crab cake dinner. I had half of the strawberry feta salad and half of the crab stuffed lobster dinner. I'm excited that I will get to enjoy it again today. We toasted the night with a nice blue Hawaiian. The night ended perfectly with a complimentary anniversary chocolate lava cake. I considered getting a Mendenhall coffee but Mario wasn't there to make it tableside. That didn't detour from having a wonderful meal. We will make sure to request Andy again.

Started with happy hour at the bar & the bartenders, drinks and food were very good. Then we were seated for dinner and had the best waiter-Andy. He was attentive, helpful, prompt with service and overall was excellent. The food-from the salad to the entrees to the desserts was delectable! We were fortunate to have Sean Riley singing Sinatra as well. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant. We came here for our son’s graduation celebration dinner-he ordered the prix fix lobster with filet mignon, caesar salad and dessert of choice.

Well, we liked everything except a server who soaked his finger in my husband's soup. We believe it was accidental during dish transfer. However, we would expect a better service given the price we pay at the restaurant.

Very disappointed, I understand it was Mother’s Day and you were busy, however it took our waiter half hour to get water then another 15 to get a drink. Apps : my oysters were frozen to the plate. Soup was not hot My filet came very over cooked even though I asked for medium. It was redone then it was raw. Manager comped the filet and gave us dessert . I had my wedding reception there 39 years ago and now it’s just my daughter and I, so I wanted her to see where we had our reception. Overall very disappointed.

Mother's day brunch is crowded anywhere, but the line flow in the restaurant buffet could be improved. All the brunch food is now in the tavern, and it's tight quarters when it's busy. The food was all very good, as was the service. Years ago there was a harp player, a chocolate fountain, and Irish coffee could be flambee'd at the table. Those special things are long gone, but all the brunch food favorites are here like Eggs Benedict, omelet station, carving station, bagels with salmon, chocolate strawberries, bananas foster, and many desserts. Very good overall.

Had a few hiccups because reservations was made for outdoor and since it was raining, they wanted to fit our party of 9 at the bar for dinner and telling us that the dining area was full. We were not having it. My party was mostly black and after a few exchanges with the manager, they manage to fit us at a table in the dining main area where 4 big other tables were empty throughout our 3 hours eating there. That alone tell le something. Other than that dinner went well and the food was good.

Our entrees were very enjoyable, the prize being the steamed mussels. Our waiter was courteous and professional, in a word - excellent. Also we must comment on noise level. Although about half full it was very subdued and the background music was importantly, background music (think ear-friendly decibels).

We had not been to the Mendenhall since before COVID so our return was delightful. The menu and specials offered an array of delicious options. The four of us enjoyed the unrushed service of Andy. He was attentive without being intrusive. Only quibble about dessert options would have been for a fruit or berry choice without ice cream. I had the Peach Melba which was very generous (and delicious) but I should have asked for a smaller portion or a cup of berries.

Thought this would be a nice dinner after a day at Longwood Gardens. It was overall disappointing. Clearly understaffed, food was lacking, and it just didn’t feel worth the cost. One and done for me.

We had a fabulous meal here. Great food - lots of crab in the crab dishes. Steak was nicely done. The service was also excellent. Very attentive but not over bearing. Oh, and the cocktails were also inventive and tasty. A very good meal all around.

Very mediocre and not inexpensive. Attractive dining room and good ambience. Service was attentive but that's the best that I can say. We were expecting better cuts of beef from a 'steak' restaurant, especially for the price. The steak was chewy and prime rib of limited flavor. The salmon was OK. Good side vegetables on the plates Side order of Brussels sprouts was good. Lobster bisque a bit salty We did not have dessert. The restaurant seemed like a great choice, especially staying at the hotel. We'd go back to the hotel but next time will seek out something down the road

Mendenhall Inn is our go to restaurant for a delightful meal experience. Their Sunday Brunch is excellent with a broad variety of food choices, prepared to perfection, and wonderful service.

We had not eaten dinner at the Mendenhall Inn in many years due to the food quality at the time not being satisfactory, but then I attended a banquet several months ago. The food was very good, so we decided to try dinner again. This time the meal and the service were outstanding! We will be returning after our most recent experience.

We have been looking for a good buffet style brunch for a long time. Mendenhall Inn has what it takes. When I say I left stuffed, that’s an understatement. The cinnamon French toast was amazing. If I didn’t want to eat anything else, I would have had five pieces. My husband loved the flavor of the prime rib. I did too, and I’m not a rare meat fan. The bananas foster was yummy too. My main course plate and dessert plates were overflowing. A nice mimosa was welcomed.

What a beautiful place & the food was excellent!!! Loved the atmosphere & we were so excited to see Brian a acoustic band playing in the bar area where we sat!! Service was not to our standards.. Server didn’t check on us & we waited for drinks for awhile & at one point we had to ask for silverware again..

My snapper soup was not hot enough. Potatos were not crispy...it would be nice to have a change of potato....maybe twice baked, or scalloped. Restaurant very crowded and waiters had to hustle to serve, but they are pros, esp. Andy.

We had our Easter dinner at this hotel restaurant. There was no vegan option but the waitress made an effort to get the chef to make one. The food served was deliciously prepared. We especially enjoyed the brochette with crab meat!

Easter dinner was delicious. Our waiter was courteous, and even funny. He made our dinner so enjoyable. Loved the atmosphere… we did not feel hurried at all.
