Melt Ratings and Reviews
Steak was brought out under cooked. Then when we sent it back it came back overcooled. Come on Paxos, for having 2 other steak restaurants. Blue and Top Cut, this is horrible. Honestly, for half the price , Outback Steakhouse has a much better prepared filet mignon
As for the fettuccine bolognese, the sauce was fine but the pasta was not al dente and over cooked. For a $200 bill, food was NOT worth it. We used to enjoy MELT but will avoid for a while.
I have been to Melt quite a few times in the past. This was the first time me and my girlfriend were both here together. We were celebrating our birthdays together. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend had gnocchi in a vodka sauce with shrimp, and I had a veal chop stuffed with broccoli raab and prosciutto. We will most definitely be back sometime soon.
The food was delicious. The service was mediocre at best. We ordered water and I believe the waiter thought that was the only drink we wanted. It was our first time there and we wanted to look at the menu. The wine was superb but the martini was too sweet and seemed to be missing the alcohol. The restaurant is dark and many needed their cell phone flashlights to see the menu. Parking was difficult as it was a Friday night. We had to park at the movie theater. The manager came at the end of the night to ask how everything was. At that point we just said the food was good just so we could finish and leave. We had gift cards that we had to ask for an explanation on how they were used as the waiter gave no explanation. I would have expected this in a lesser priced restaurant.
Melt needs to delegate waitresses properly. We were a party of 8, celebrating a birthday. We had informed the restaurant in advance. Our waitress was unfriendly and visibly uncomfortable attending to us. She actually interrupted conversations to tell us the specials 10 mins into our seating!! Then walked away! Very dissatisfied with the service.
We have been to Melt twice. Once as a couple on a Saturday and once as a group of 5 friends on a Sunday. We have been pleased on both occasions. The decor is very nice, and the service is friendly and attentive. The food is very good, and they have a good wine selection. While it is an Italian restaurant, it has a very wide ranging menu, so it is a good place to go for a group with a variety of food preferences. On Sunday to Thursday they have a 3 course price fixed menu (currently $30) with a good selection of food. It is a great deal.
I have dined at Melt a number of times and this time was unfortunately disappointing compared to others. It was a busy Friday night and there was quite a back up of parties with reservations waiting to be seated when we arrived. We were seated 10-15 minutes after our reservation time, which I would say is acceptable on a busy weekend. Our waitress was nice, but only intermittently attentive. The menu offered a wide variety of appetizers and entrees that sounded delicious, so it was hard choosing which ones to order.
My girlfriend and I got the calamari appetizer, which came out less than 10 minutes after we ordered it before we had a chance to order entrees. It was fresh and flavorful, and the dipping sauce was really delicious. The portion was perfect for two people to share without being overly full.
For entrees, I ordered a scallop special, while my girlfriend ordered linguine with clams. The entrees were very different and underwhelming in different ways. My scallops were cooked nicely and served with lobster risotto, which only contained 3-4 pieces of lobster and a small amount of risotto. Additionally, the dish was one of the most expensive on the menu and quite easily one of the smallest portions. The linguine with clams on the other hand was absolutely massive, with a large heaping pile of pasta and a number of clams. The clams had good flavor, but the pasta was almost flavorless. It was a shame as both entrees sounded delicious on the menu.
Overall, our experience was average at best, but not worth the cost- roughly $135 for two people including drinks. There are much better experiences in the Lehigh Valley for that price point.
We came for lunch for my father's birthday. He loves their scallops but they are not on the regular lunch menu. The chef prepared them special for my dad who responded, "I wonder if there is a Melt in heaven?" The food is always fresh and delicious. I've never had a bad meal or experience here. The service was excellent, as always. Thank you for making my dad's birthday a truly special occasion.
New Years Eve at Melt. Although a very cold evening, we were warmed by the charm and ambience of Melt and of course, deeply satisfied with our favorite dishes. My personal favorite is the Fettucine Bolgnese and it is worth a try! We look forward to our next visit with great anticipation.
This was an annual New Year's Eve dinner, which, for the last few years has been at Melt. Once again, it did not disappoint. First, the decor is tasteful and welcoming. The staff is friendly, and our server was especially attentive. As is usual, the manager stopped by with a holiday greeting and asked if everything was to our liking.
The drinks and meals were exceptional. It is difficult to find fault with Melt.
And as an added treat, the Christmas decorations around the "campus" of the Promenade Shoppes are stunning.....so inviting to stroll (or drive) through.
I went with my fiancee on New Year's Eve. I had problems finding a parking space. Maybe I should have used valet parking? The service was excellent. I messed up and put salt instead of pepper on my salad and the waitress and staff was kind enough to give me another one. My fiancee ordered scallops and she liked the food very much. We both loved the decor and the atmosphere. I ordered the lobster ravioli. I wasn't particularly impressed. The salad was good but we asked the waitress if ordering one and splitting it would be enough and she said no. The salad is just an average proportion. One salad would have been enough. By the time I finished my salad I was full. I thought the price was a little high but reasonable for the venue.
The food is consistently good along with the service. We always get the table we request. This time we went for a New Year’s Eve Family lunch. Although when we arrived, we were given dinner menus, they were accommodating. The ambiance was nice. We were overcharged for 2 items when half orders of pasta were ordered for kids but we were charged for full orders so check your bill, which is something we aren’t always good at.
My daughter, granddaughter and I went to Melt on Christmas Eve. The service was excellent; our waitress and everyone else that took care of us were there when we needed them and very friendly. The food was delicious...we each ordered an appetizer and shared...the calamari is very good, hot and crispy. The crab cake was amazing...all crab no filler. And the clams were in a rich tasty broth which really complimented them. Two of us at the rib steak, the other shrimp and angel hair. The steaks were cooked just the way we ordered them. The fingerling potatoes with gorgonzola were over the top. All in all it was a fabulous meal...we will be returning.
Had lunch with a friend. We both had great meals. I wanted the crab salad that was on the appetizer menu. It was presented as a tower with crab meat on top. When you touched the top, it opened like a blossom onto the plate. Couldn’t believe it was taken off the menu. Disappointing. I had the fish skewers meal instead. It was excellent. My friend had a panini and enjoyed it. Great service by our waitress. The meal wasn’t rushed and we had a good time catching up. Will definitely be back.
First time in many visits I was a bit disappointed. Server got my order wrong (pasta error) and apologized for his error and offered to change out, but since my wife's meal was there, I declined. Spaghetti polpette. I ordered capellini/angel hair and got regular spaghetti (too heavy for me). Sauce and meatballs were overspiced; had a gritty, acrid taste (guess too much basil and/or oregano). Won't turn me off to the place since we've had many good meals there, but won't order this item again.
