I love this place for the organic and vegetarian options alone. From the appetizer samplers, to the green salad with just a hint of Apple, to the General Tso's chicken and organic grass fed filet, I was quite happy with my meal. It is also a BYOB so that keeps the bill down. They also have fresh and delicious organic juices and teas!
Whenever my husband and I are looking for something different and better than most, we appreciate that we don't have to travel too far from home.
Melodia Grill is a great place for a good meal. The pricing may be a little high but the food is outstanding. We enjoyed the atmosphere with low background music which was classy not your usual rock noise. If you want a good meal and good service, Melodia Grill should be high on your list.
I have been looking for a place like this ever since I moved here. Melodia Grill surpassed my expectations. The atmosphere was lovely, reflecting a love for classical music. The food was sublime. I applaud their chefs and appreciate their use of fresh ingredients. Service was pleasant as well. I will certainly be returning soon.
Service very slow, we kept on waiting to taste the exotic species that were supposed to be used in the dishes ordered. Food bland and not very exciting, not consistent with the last time at the restaurant. Would not be going there again.
There was quite a wide diversity of food even if the menu is not overly long. This restaurant is geared for casual dining with nice space between the courses to relax and have some conversation, while settling for the next course. The food was well prepared and had some nice twists on flavors. Overall very enjoyable.
We were so impressed with everything from the quality ingredients to the service. The food was wonderful - fresh and delicious! We liked that they customize meals for dietary needs. Every dish was prepared perfectly: first we had the succulent coconut shrimp, which was complemented by their homemade sauce. The Lobster bisque was creamy and featured chunks of lobster and crabmeat. I especially loved the rolls, which were warm, soft and buttery. The scallops were sweet and tender, the filet was wonderfully seasoned and juicy. And dessert! The chocolate cheesecake was amazing! Rich chocolate flavor and incredibly smooth cheesecake with a crunchy nut crust. I also had a bite of the tiramisu cake, which is different from regular tiramisu. It had layers of really moist, fluffy yellow cake and vanilla frosting. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and will definitely be back soon for another visit.
The meal was not what we expected. We started with the appetizer sampler. The Money Bags and Spring Rolls were very tasty. The Coconut Shrimp were overcooked and the Brie in the Pear & Brie had no taste. Herbed Chicken did not seem to be seasoned and the sauce was watery and bland. Sea Scallops were excellent but the Petite Fillet was overdone and tough. The restaurant has a lot of potential with its gluten free menu and I liked that they could modify the food if you have any dietary restrictions.
Thank you for giving us a wonderful feast. We'll be back for sure.
The food is always excellent at Melodia and there is nothing on this menu that will disappoint. The ambience makes for a very enjoyable dining experience. Don't forget to bring your favorite bottle of wine to complete the evening.
We made a reservation for a Friday night early dinner. When we got there, the restaurant was almost empty so we were a bit worried but it filled up within the hour.
The decor is somewhat dark with a lots of nice silk flower arrangements but place had a distinct, musty smell. It's located right on the highway so they keep the blinds closed so that you don't see the traffic or the gas station located right next to the restaurant.
The wait staff was very attentive and the food was good. The fact that it is a BYOB is nice.
Open Table members have steered me to another notable dining venue, somewhat off the beaten path. Know I know why the comments raved about the food. It was outstanding! Only demerit was that the restaurant was got warmer as the meal progressed and was perspiring when dessert arrived. Otherwise a great dining experience.
We love our dining experiences at Melodia. It is a phenomenal restaurant and the chef is extremely talented. The food is superb, and every time we've eaten here we always get the 3 course pre-fixe. We had the money bags which were heavenly. The scallops and filet were so delicious and the filet always served the proper temperature. I love that they cater to gluten-free, and people with food allergies. The tiramisu is to die for. The apple pie was made gluten-free and I didn't even know it. It was so incredible, I would have thought it was filled with gluten. It was the best apple pie I've ever consumed!
after one table of ladies left we were dining alone. just a little to quiet.
my seafood pasta dish was very good. the crab cakes the wife ordered were ok however they were better the next morning when I mixed the remains with my pasta seafood leftovers. not a great location but not terrible either. needs more modern rest rooms.
My wife and I had dinner here for her birthday. They have a great gluten free menu and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks. The service was great.
We had the Sampler appetizer-delicious. Steak, veggies, and mashed potatoes-all excellent; served hot, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Seafood Pasta Medley served in crab cream sauce- out of this world.
Can't wait t go again!
BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) – go to Melodia Grill, asap! Melodia Grill was the perfect find for my parent’s anniversary dinner – but it is also a great place for any other meal! Melodia Grill had everything I wanted: natural/organic food, a gluten-free menu, fresh ingredients, local owners, non-chain, and close to home. The experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The staff: pleasant, attentive, cheerful, funny, knowledgeable and courteous. The ambience: modern, clean, pleasing to the eye, very refreshing. The food: fresh, hot, cooked to perfection, delicious...left you wanting more! We had the Appetizer Sampler, Steak Oscar, Citrus Basil Sea Bass, Lamb Chops w/herbs, Crème Brûlée, and Tiramisu. BYOB: No corkage fee! :)
This is consistently outstanding. The staff do all they can to enhance the evening. There were four of us there and each one of us were very pleased with our dining experience. If there is something that you would like to order, and it is not on the menu, ask for it and more than likely you will be able to enjoy it.
This was our 3rd or 4th trip to Melodia (I've lost count). As always the food was outstanding. I had the scallops and petite filet for the second time, and I must say it was as good as I remembered it.
This may well be the best food in Bucks county.
Phenomenal. Quiet, delicious, BYO.
the restaurant is very pretty and the food looks very good, however the appetizer- a brie with chopped pear soaked in congnac and wrapped in phillo dough- was not very tasty. the soup my party ordered was a lobster bisque, but surprisingly it was a white soup without any tomatoe base. tasty but not great. the dinner was the seafood with lobster, shrimp, scallops and crab, and while all the ingredients were high quaity the sauce was gelatinous and not good. lastly the creme brule was not smooth. overall i was disappointed with the meal and thought the price for the meal was high considering the lack of taste. hope they can fix this, because it is a potentially lovely place to dine
We have been to Melodia for a few years now, always love it!
They accommodate all types of dietary restrictions. Great food.
The melody that strikes me is a serenade, well executed BYOB, with overtures of exceedingly amazing food choices and a harmonious staff of friendly and professional servers and hosts. This restaurant is very different - they cater to people with food allergies or certain preferences. They do gluten free like no other! I love the scallops and filet combo entree, and everything we've had on the menu is well prepared while you wait (so be prepared to wait) and is well worth the wait. Entrees are always fresh and delicious. The Tirimisu is the best I've ever had! This place rocks!
We were going to a show at the Sellersville Theater and found this place through an on-line search. We were pleasantly surprised to have of the best meals we've had in a long time. Food-wise it's as good as any of the Philly restaurants we frequent. The scallops I ordered were cooked to perfection in a delicious sauce. Our friends also raved about their meals. Staff was friendly and attentive. If it were closer to home we'd definitely go back.
It's BYOB... a little pricey for a casual meal, but perfect for a special occasion.
What a lovely little neighborhood gem that had escaped our awareness -- Melodia Grill. Right in the deep northern suburbs of the city is a restaurant I would have expected downtown. Melodia Grill seems to pride themselves on locally sourced, organic food prepared to meet the most discriminating diners. We had a vegan that does not eat gluten and their rich gluten-free offerings captured that need! And the carnivores among us were well pleased also. My two suggestions: 1) a bit of a stronger hand with the seasonings -- we like our flavors to be bold; and 2) help spread the word so you are not as hard for others to find! I know my family and I will return. Thanks for the lovely meal for our special occasion.
We love this restaurant! They cater to dietary needs like gluten free, and allergies. There were 3 of us on this outing. We all had appetizers, entrees and desserts. Everything was fresh, and delicious. We had coconut shrimp, Mediterranean flatbread, and New England Clam Chowder for starters. For entrees we had filet and scallops, wild salmon with hoisin sauce, and crab cakes, all came with delicious fresh vegetables of asparagus zucchini, and mashed potatoes. Our server was amazing. Her name was Natanya, and she added so much to our meal. She was pleasant, friendly and a breath of fresh air. All of the wait staff here is always so pleasant it makes us want to return.
Four friends this time at the Melodia. We had a marvelous time. Our server Jessica was fantastic. We all had the 3 course meal deal, that included dessert. We were pleased with everything we ordered. Money bags, Pumpkin soup, Crab/Lobster bisque. We also enjoyed the scallops and filet entrees, and I had the Pineapple Mango Tequila Tilapia, which was to die for! The desserts were superior to most as well. Our friends loved this restaurant as well, so we all had the best time. Jessica helped to make the evening even more special with her friendly, pleasant and attentive manner. The chef really knows his way around the kitchen and someday we hope to meet him!
Great Fresh Food, all items are individually prepared. Great for those w/allergies
This unassuming little gem in Souderton has a staff that is eager to make changes for each individual's taste preferences and food restrictions. My perfectly cooked filet melted in my mouth, and the vegetables were definitely fresh. The honey ginger salmon was perfect as well. The prices are a little high, but everything is local and fresh, so I didn't mind paying for those details. Our server was attentive, helpful, and friendly. We had a delightful dinner.
Arrived 15 min early but were seated. A number of empty tables. Not approached for about 20 min. Service was lacking. Food was very good.
I would give them a better review if the food was more reasonably priced. I do not mind paying top dollar for excellent food.
The servers are very attentive and helpful.
I though lunch was more reasonable than dinner
My husband and I were looking for a great place to dine on a Saturday night and put Open Table to the test. You will not be disappointed with the experience or the quality of the food. I am a foodie and would eat here again. I have already recommended to multiple people.
Thanks for a great 'food' experience!
The food was excellent, as always, Matt, our server was pleasant and attentive, and I've always liked the ambiance there. Can't go wrong.
Who would have thought that this fabulous dining experience would be found in such an unexpected location?! Melodia Grill in Souderton seems out of place in this town. It is one of the most pleasant dining experiences I have had in a while. The restaurant seems more suited to Center City Philadelphia, Manayunk or the Main Line. The restaurant serves organic foods and has a gluten free menu but will cater to most dietary restrictions. The prices are a bit high for the area but well worth it for the meals. The food was in a word...delicious!
The wait staff was very attentive and informative about questions we had about the different dishes. The ambience is very pleasant and it is a BYOB.
All in all it was a very pleasant experience!
This was our second visit and the food continues to be very good. They need a new cappucino machine as they came out very slowly one at at time. The service started on a very good note but was very slow toward the end of the meal. They need a more polished servie staff to compliment the great food.
We were pleasantly surprised by the gourmet menu. The ambiance made our family feel like we were dining in someone's private home. We will absolutely return.
Good food, prompt service, nice visit to our table by the hostess/owner. Way too expensive for the area and for the quality of the experience.
needs GR to fix a broken restaurant. Lost our order, ran out of bread, desserts, took 2 1/2 hours of painful waiting. Staff did nit know how to follow with updates or an offer of an iced tea, or anything.
They stress they are using only fresh, organic foods, but I do not think so. Clam chowder was dairy free, mediocre at best.
One filet wasn't. It smelled lime the food we serve our dog.
Not going back.
We went for my husband's birthday. The food was delicious and I especially liked the fact that they take allergies and food sensitivities into consideration without making a big fuss.. I also like that while making things very tasty they are also healthy. I commend them as well for using local foods wherever possible. Even though it took us more than 45 minutes to get there we will be going back. It was a great meal for the entire family. Even our two picky teenagers.
