Mele Bistro (formerly Village Bistro)

It is a charming Arlington restaurant with an ebullience owner and attentive staff. The food is delicious and moderately priced. The wine list is perfect for the restaurant. I am looking forward to returning as soon as I can.

We were very, very pleased with the entire experience. The food was delicious, the service was great. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Everyone in my party decided to return the next evening. We later had to cancel our reservation because of the curfew in DC but I hope to be back soon.

The food was fresh and the wine was good. You could tell nothing was frozen and everything was of high quality. The service was wonderful and everything was reasonably priced for the sheer quality. I would highly recommend Mele to anyone visiting DC/Arlington and the surrounding area.

Everything was amazing. I had the seafood fettuccine and every bit of it was perfectly cooked. I will definitely be dining here again!!!

I had been at Mele 3 years ago with good memories of a great menu, food, service and experience. Should of have repeated the visit long time ago.

Great food on NYE but the service and timeliness of of reservation was very disappointing. We arrived at 7:50 for a 8PM reservation and had to wait outside in the cold until 8:55PM to sit down as there were no tables available. The waiter / manager offered us wine and calamari outside but ended up charging us for the two bottles and appetizer for our group of 6 people. The food here was great but was underwhelmed with the service / accommodations for a very lately seated table we reserved for NYE a month or so prior. Wanted to go back but will likely be trying many other Italian / seafood restaurants before thinking of going back.

The service was very attentive and personal. The food is very fresh, farm to table or fresh catch.. There is a variety of pasta seafood and beef. The dining room is small But there is additional seating outside weather permitting.

This restaurant is a hidden Jewell! Never fails to deliver — great good, great staff!

The wine list was fantastic.... I recommend the red.... the food is wonderful and the ambiance is terrific... this was my first time at Mele and I will definitely go back...!!

Indoor tables were widely separated and staff consistently wore masks. I counted three other tables occupied in the restaurant -- we virtually had the place to ourselves. It was definitely important to make a reservation. Service was delightful and attentive. Food was excellent, as usual. I highly recommend the steamed mussels to start, homemade ravioli to follow, and you simply cannot go wrong with either the meat or fish main courses. Excellent wine selection as well. Mele has been my favorite for many years.

This by far is one of the best restaurants in Northern Virginia. And the outdoor seating is fantastic. They have heaters and a lovely tent. Do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant today.

Such a cute and honey atmosphere! The owner was present and chatted with us! The wait staff was very friendly!! Perfect spot for a date night and excellent seafood! I think its our new favorite spot in the DC area.

Food was good. Service was subpar. One waiter outside and spread thin. Meal not as described on menu tasty but substitutions were chefs choice and not as good as what was listed on menu

Nice ambience for outdoor dining- it's parking lot seating but they've put up string lights & heat lamps that make it nice. Extensive menu with lots of good options.

The food was delicious, and Frank (the owner I assume) is s charming host. Highly recommend the fresh seafood (I had the seabass and shrimp), and the house made pasta.

Wonderful menu with lots of seafood and pasta choices. All dishes were excellent. Very friendly staff.

We love this restaurant. They are always on top of great eating. The mussels were excellent, the Sea Bass excellent. Go there and find out for yourself how yummy it is.

The BEST restaurant with great Covid measures in place.

Granted, two cabinet officials were at Mele the night I was dining, so the staff was a bit overwhelmed and service was slow. Putting that aside, however, I really did not appreciate that a table of 8 was seated less than 3 feet away from my table. I was not the only other guests who were angry. A couple seated about 4 feet away from my table and about 2 feet from the party of eight were also not happy both with the proximity due to Covid concerns and the excessive noise level of the large party. What happened to the rule that tables are supposed to be 6 feet away? I have not run into this problem in DC the few times I dined indoors, so perhaps Virginia is more lax? In any case, I think the restaurant was more concerned with its high level visitors (somewhat understandable) but really should have made more of an effort to space out other patrons. I would not recommend the restaurant unless they address these concerns.

Outside seating, tables places far enough apart to be comfortable. Portable heaters were fabulous. Food was amazing! The service was fantastic!

I love this place. Great food and doing a great job adjusting to staying open during the pandemic. Lots of outdoor seating and heaters are in place and ready for the cooler weather.

I have been going here for years and this place never disappoints. The quality of ingredients in the food is top notch and the staff make it such a welcoming place.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Arlington ... possibly the east coast! They have organic, non-gmo ingredients, with grass fed meat and quality seafood. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming! The food always tastes fabulous and their menu is extensive - something special for everyone! I highly recommend the scallops, pesto gnocchi (hold the dairy), gazpacho, duck sausage appetizer, antioxidant soup - just a few of my favorites ;)

The food is outstanding - fresh, good portion sizes, and excellent variety. Service was good, and they have a nice outdoor seating area so we felt safe (healthy during COVID).

The food was fantastic. The prices were reasonable. The ambience was nice. The service, however, was terrible. We booked a table outside and when we arrived (early) were told it would be a 45 minute wait unless we took a table inside. The waiter ignored us until I called for his attention. Attention after that was scant, episodic, and hurried. A drink order was forgotten.

The owner is an angel amongst humans. The food was delicious. Only con was that the glass of wine I ordered never came...but I enjoyed everything so much I didn't even care. We loved eating here and will return many times.

If you’re looking for a delicious meal - whether it’s a client dinner or date, head to Mele. The staff is courteous. The food is dynamite and they’ve got outdoor seating options. I love supporting local businesses and this is a go-to if you’re looking for something in Rosslyn.

Great food

What a great spot! The service was great - so friendly - the owner even came by to chat. The food was amazing - very large portions. We both had some to take home. Good selection of wine. Lots of outdoor seating. Highly recommend!
