There is a public lot located directly behind Melange. You may enter it from William st. or South Ashley st. Parking in the street is free after 6pm Monday - Saturday and all day on Sundays and holidays.

We waited more than one hour for food that had clearly been in the heating oven for 30 min. Nothing about the food is particularly interesting, it's very average for the price they charge. Service was also poor and confused. I won't come back there for sure.
Interesting and diverse menu, delicious and visually appealing food, upscale decor...this restaurant is great for any kind of occasion from an anniversary or birthday to a casual get-together with friends. Access is a little difficult for people with mobility issues, so I would recommend calling ahead if you have any such issues.
Everything I had was absolutely delicious. Decadent but also light; not overly rich or filling. Saffron lobster ravioli is to die for in a tart saffron lemon sauce. Arugula pear salad was so light and refreshing and packed full of flavor. The lettuce raps were very savory and crisp. The atmosphere was upscale, trendy and cozy, but casual attire was welcome. The prices were reasonable and much lower than I would have thought. Our waitress was very accommodating, personable and friendly. I will definitely be back, hopefully often.
Waited over an hour for food that was poorly cooked (1 of 2 lamb chops burned, duck was well-done when requested medium, etc.). We were the only ones there on a Monday night, so the wait seemed excessive. Another couple came and the hostess say them right behind us-the whole restauarant was empty!? Lighting was too dark- could barely see what was on the table. Overall, we came here to have a special night out and were disappointed :(
Came with friends for dinner and dancing on Saturday night. Had a good time. Server was attentive, great food and grapefruit cocktails were delish. Moderate crowd before 10. Got packed later for dancing. Fun and crowd is not too young or too old. We'll be back :)
Chose Melange for a recent Saturday evening date based on wonderful reviews on Open Table. The restaurant had only a couple tables occupied when we arrived around 7pm and never really got busy it seemed. The circular booth we were seated in was fun. We sampled a couple of the specialty cocktails - the Skeleton Key was great! We tried the spicy crunchy tuna roll as an appetizer, which was just ok. I ordered the Sea Bass for dinner but didn't love it. My husband's filet minon was delicious. Overall the food and portions didn't seem worth the price. Many other great restaurants in the area so probably won't be back.
Great food and wine list. Friendly service. Restaurant had space for many more but that allowed us and our friends to have quiet evening conversations.
Managers allowed us to have our second bottle of wine at the price of our first because our choice was out of stock. Really appreciated it.
I can't believe that living in Ann Arbor for more than 10 years I hadn't dined at Melange. What a nice surprise! The food is superb. The atmosphere? I felt I was at a restaurant in New York. Melange, you have become one my favorite, if not my favorite restaurant.
Service was fine, but the server felt a little off in his attitude toward me; it's hard to identify exactly what it was, but he felt a bit cold, like he wasn't exactly thrilled that I was there. Which was odd, because when I observed him interacting with other tables nearby me, he seemed jovial. My bacon-wrapped shrimp was good, but the flavors were a little mild compared to other places I have had a similar dish. The tuna tartare was good, but a bit under-salted. My filet mignon, a dish I normally quite love, was underwhelming. I asked for it cooked medium-rare, and it came out medium. I didn't bother sending it back, because I honestly just didn't want to interact with my server. The key lime pie I had was quite tasty, except that the outer crust was a little burned. For an $80 meal (including tax and 20% tip), it wasn't worth it. I don't think I'll be back.
The ambiance is great for a date but the value compared to the amount of food doesn't quite add up for me. We orderd two $24 and up entrees, no salad, no bread. The kids chicken tender meal had extremely over salted fries, she didn't eat them because they were so salty. There was no barbecue sauce for her tenders. The entrees were good but not for the price you pay compared to the cost.
I took my son in for dinner the other night. On the recommendation of our waiter, he ordered the short ribs and I ordered the sea bass. Both were simply outstanding in taste, temperature, and presentation! The waiter, David, was professional, attentive, and intuitive in terms of our needs.
I took my girlfriend here on a date and the service was great! We had a reservation but came early and still got seated immediately. Both the hostess and our waitress were both very pleasant and polite. Our waitress gave us very good opinions on the food to help us make a decision for our order. The sushi and the cream brûlée were both very excellent. The vibe of the restaurant was modern and very sleek. Overall I give Melange two thumbs up and will definitely be back again!
The food was superb. The restaurant is beautiful. The bar crowd was extremely loud so we left early. But I would definitely go back. The duck nachos are fantastic, the bacon wrapped shrimp were great, and the short ribs was sooo good and tender. I really enjoyed the food.
It was our first time visiting Melange and we pleased with the whole experience. From the moment we walked in until the time we left the hostess and wait staff were so friendly and accommodating. We started with the duck nachos, baked brie and the stuffed mushroom which were all delicious. I particularly liked the fact that you can order a half order of most menu items. I ordered the sea bass cooked with an asian flair and my son ordered the short ribs which were cooked perfectly. We would definitely go back.
Had reservations for mother's day, and requested and received one of the private booths, which are nice for ambiance. Got a sushi appetizer, along with a half-portion size of the duck nachos - I've always wanted to try them! Both were delicious, as was the sea bass, I just can't resist getting that every time! Husband had the lobster ravioli, which was amazing, but very rich. Service as always was attentive but not intrusive. Always happy with my experience here!
