The prix fix menu makes dining easy and service quick. The steak was done to perection and the sauce was delicious. I was fine with the serving size but thought that my son might still be hungry but then the server brought us seconds.

Visited the restaurant on Sunday evening, kinda got an NY feel for the restaurant. Tight spaces and busy atmosphere. My party of 2 was seated and greeted by our waitress, she then took our orders and that was the last time she visited our table. We sat there drinking our water with no food. 15-20min pass, and still nothing.

Another couple sits down next to us, she takes their order, and they salads come within 5min of them being seated. Another waiter walking by hears me say to my girlfriend "I guess we don't get salads", and he then attends to us and says he'll get our waitress. She never comes to our table but every table around us gets serviced.

We get our salads from another waiter then 3min into the salads, the entrees comes out. The manager walks by and sees the cluttered table and asked if he can take the entrees back because he feels we are being rushed. I explained that we aren't being rushed, the salads are just late.

We ate and then asked for the check. The manager says to me "I don't feel like you received adequate service so I'm removing a meal, and please don't hold this against us." I do appreciate his willingness to accommodate us. As busy as he was as the manager, the fact that he knew we had poor service says a lot. Why the waitress wasn't alerted to attend to us is confusing, and/or why she chose to ignore only my table is also confusing.

Again, I appreciate the manager being accommodating, but I won't be returning or recommending this restaurant.

Valentines Day dinner with fiancé, he loves steak and pommes frites and that is their specialty. Prix fixe dinner and a glass of wine was very reasonably priced, until the value got even better when the severs brought second and third helpings!! We looked at each other like, Is this for real? Super convenient to metro. We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent service! Immediately had our drink orders taken and appetizer and bread brought out immediately. Food was very filling. We did the $25 deal with unlimited mimosas, a starter, and entree. Would have enjoyed more steak, but can't complain with the $25 deal. Would have been too good to be true. Such great serve. Waiter was super, super, friendly! Steak cooked to perfection. Drinks always filled. Enjoyed the special sauce.

This is an easy place to go! As long as you like a bistro style steak, you’re all set to stop worrying about whether you ordered the right thing or not - and just concentrate on a good conversation with your dining companion(s). Bliss!

This was an absolutely lovely experience. The food was plenty, and delicious, and I had some of the best steak and apple pie I have ever had!

This place is great! It's unique approach to its menu allows for quick service and gourmet food at surprisingly reasonable prices. It felt like I was doing restaurant week and getting a steal! It's a place that values the customer at every turn, with everything from two servings at the same price to a massive complimentary birthday ice cream thing. Highly recommend.

The server was attentive and very helpful. Entries were very good, wine was what we were looking for. Desert was excellent (carrot cake and key lime pie). Overall good experience.

Very, very disappointing. It's hard to imagine how a place can go wrong serving exactly one thing: salad, bread, steak, fries. Yet all but the salad were bad--and the service, while eager to please, was poor, too.
The bread was so crusty I feared for my teeth, the fries were so crispy I could have been eating twigs, and the steak was oversalted and meh.
I asked for the sauce (they have one kind) on the side, but my meal arrived with the steak and frites drenched in sauce. The server felt bad and brought me another plate with sauce on the side (they serve seconds of steak and frites on request, so this wasn't as big a deal as it sounds). I tried the sauce, and was glad I'd gotten it on the side--it added nothing, and was also too salty.
Great concept for a restaurant--but a poor execution!

The Conn. Avenue location of Medium Rare did not disappoint our group of four hungry meat-eaters. The price fixed menu of steak, fries, and salad, was just what this budget-minded group needed for a casual Sunday night Birthday and we were totally satisfied. Highly recommended.

Food was good. Good steak. You wanted the seconds. Could be slightly more tender but still flavorful. Fries were nice and crisp and hot. Nice. Perfect sized portions with the built-in seconds. Good model.

The food was pretty yummy and the carrot cake was fantastic. Only think that leaves you wanting more is having a couple extra options in terms of food. Cool experience though.

We had a great brunch on Sunday. Great steak as usual. Enjoyed the bottomless mimosas. Loved the salad and bread. It was very busy and noisy but we enjoyed it just the same. The only complaint is that the poached eggs were under cooked and the whites were runny. Didn't need the carrot cake but it was well worth it. Gum was a fun touch as you can see from the picture.

We were searching for a bottomless brunch spot. Medium Rare has a price you can't beat. Their menu is very limited. My husband and I ordered the steak and eggs Benedict. It was covered in gravy. It was tasty, but way too rich for me. I would visit again, but I would definitely specify that I want my steak plain. It was a very heavy meal!

Diners should know that menu is one size fits all....only choice is how you want your steak. But it's very tasty for the price. (Can't compare it to a traditional, expensive steak joint.)

Unfortunately the noise is overwhelming.
Speakers full blast which makes conversation almost impossible.
The tables are too close to each other,
but not to worry about privacy, since your neighbor can't here anything you say to whomever is sharing your table.
