The food could’ve been warmer. The steak and eggs were lukewarm but the fries were hot.

The steak was thin, tough and chewy, without any flavor. And since that is all they offer, it makes no sense to eat there.

I've been here for dinner, and the food and service was good. Remembering this, I booked a table for four for brunch. It's a fixed menu, with your choice of starter, and entree. Everyone elected to get the steak & eggs. The steak was cooked well, however, everyone's poached egg was barely cooked. We did not eat it. When mentioned, we were told that that is how a poached egg looks. The server clearly never cooked eggs before.
We also got the bottomless mimosas. The first refill we did not have to ask for. The second refill we asked, but the server never came back. We practically had to tackle him down to get the refill.
Overall, I would recommend this place for dinner, but not for brunch.

Medium Rare - Capitol Hill is welcome to reach out to me for further details.

I hear about this place from a friend and trust me, it was all that he spoke of. The steak was amazing with their secret steak sauce (they gave us two servings) for The total price of two people it all came up to $44.70!!! Amazing

Love this restaurant! So good for the price. I just wish they would turn the music down. Makes it very hard to have a conversation.

I made a reservation in advance and still had to wait close to an hour to be seated when I arrived. Also, it was my friends birthday and they gave no complimentary dessert or cake, you had to purchase it yourself then they added a candle.

Food and atmosphere were great except the noise. The music was too loud for us to talk across the table with each other (party of four).

I always find the music a bit too loud and not to my taste. But my family always has a good time and good food at Medium Rare. We'll be back.

Great food at an affordable price. Bill can climb with drinks and dessert, but is reasonable. Go if you love steak and fries. Desserts were great. Had to flag down waiter several times for bread course, drink refills, but overall a good experience.

We went to Medium Rare for brunch. We both ordered steak and egg, but with different eggs. He ordered scrambled and I ordered poached. The poached egg was a little bit too runny to the point that I couldn't quite enjoy the egg, it looked like a sauce to the steak. Steak's amazing as per usual. The service was great, we never saw the bottom of our drink until the very end before we left. Would definitely go again.

I was with a party of five for brunch. The drinks were good for the most part, but the two people who had mimosas agreed they were mostly orange juice. The appetizers were fantastic but the entrees were extremely disappointing. The poached eggs were runny to the point that we were unable to eat them with a fork. The meat was extremely undercooked; I ordered medium and it was blue. We did all agree that the French toast was fantastic. The waiter made several mistakes with the orders and took an extremely long time to refill drinks, get the check, etc.

The Kitchen didn’t know what perfectly poach eggs were on the menu. Barely cooked egg whites that I had sent back, but was still not right. Thank gosh for the Mimosas!

The sauce was good as were the fries and the salad. The cut of steak was weird though. It was super thin and the texture was strange. It was ok for the price point but I would be willing to pay more for a better cut off steak.

Food is excellent as is service - but music is so loud it is hard to have conversations in a normal voice. We have asked in the past if the music could be lowered and the manager said no.

Let me say that I have always come to MR for dinner and the food and experience is phenomenal. However I was disappointed this past weekend when we decided to slip in at 2:30 to eat on a Sunday on our way back from NYC with our visiting family/guests.

We were a party of 4, of which 3 members do not drink. Nobody offered to explain to us that the brunch menu was a bit different than dinner. The server did not mention the menu differences and rushed us to get our orders in (which we were happy to comply since we were hungry and tired!).

Don’t get me wrong, our waitress was sweet- but we just wished she would have clarified or made a suggestion upon learning that the majority of our party did not order the bottomless alcohol. She did not do anything wrong, but unfortunately, we did not find this to be of value considering that we paid $5 more than dinner pricing, but for half of the food. We noticed that a few parties that ordered right after us received dinner service. We left a bit disappointed and still hungry, especially since I had hyped up the restaurant to our guests.

Lesson learned- don’t come for the brunch unless you are coming to drink!!!!

Brunch is typically a busy time, especially when a bottomless brunch is offered, but the service was pretty sub par. Perhaps more staff for a busy brunch time would help, but we were served poached eggs with very runny whites, dirty glasses, and coffee mugs that looked like more coffee made it outside than inside the mug. The waitstaff was not very tentative, although this may be due to short staffing or other factors.

Everything here was just okay. The service was slow. The drinks were watered down. The steak was half the size of a regular steak. But in the end it was only $30 for all you can drink and a steak and salad so I guess it wasn't the worst.

I would not recommend the benedict. The steak was overcooked and chewy, the poached egg was undercooked, and adding everything together turned into a soup-y mess that was inedible. Service and drinks were good.

Overall 4/5 stars
My main issues were the music was so loud it prevented conversation, and we had to ask multiple times for standard condiments for their meal: ketchup and vinegar for fries. These should just be on the table.

Easy prix fixe menu made dinner for a large group hassle free.

Would definitely return.
