Picked this restaurant based on OpenTable reviews for a business Meeting lunch and as always it lived up to the reviews. The portions were nice size and appetizers delicious. Stuffed clams and calamari were great. Service was good. We were the only ones there at noon on a Wednesday.
Always a good choice for quality, cleanliness and service
Loved our dining experience. Food & wine was excellent, wait staff did not rush us. We will be back often.
Outstanding service from our server. Very attentive. Great food. Thanks
All fine. Just a little hard to find.
Very excellent and accommodating AS ALWAYS.
Very handicap accessible.
Sunday dinner....great spot. Delicious food!
Excellent in every respect. Staff was attentive, friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious -- whether one of the specials or off the menu. We will be definitely be back.
reliably good food, good service. nice atmosphere. great neighborhood standby.
excellant food and value. definately will go back again
I started going here years ago and always felt the food is authentic and fresh.... Never lets me down. I am a Sicilian/Italian and I can count on this restaurant to bring back memories of my grandma's kitchen. BRAVO!!!
Excellent Mother’s Day meal!
We had a party of 6 for mother’s day at 2:00. We were promptly seated. We stared with fried calamari and baked clams and the arugula beet salad. The calamari was tender and the baked clams were tasty- whole with bread crumbs done old school. Everyone enjoyed their main courses. The portions were large, several of us took half home. I loved how they were serving the regular menu in Mother’s Day. I had a halibut special, done in a Chardonnay broth with clams, chorizo corn and potatoes. Very nice . My daughter had the Veal Braciole with Gnocchi- the gnocchi were like clouds she proclaimed! Other dishes were penne vodka, sole piccata , chicken franchese and the salmon. All delicious. The picky grandma’s ate way more than normal and loved their meals . These women do not give complements easily! Highly recommend for any occasion or just a nice meal in a nice setting.
This was our second time, the first time was a date night and this time we brought our kids with us and we loved it both times. The food is so good; I love that they have a menu that has a nice combo of unique meals, but offer some classics too! We all loved our dinner choices and the service was awesome. Our waiter was really attentive, gave us great recommendations and was very pleasant. We will definitely be back:)
We were a group of 8, family and friends. The ease of the Open Table reservation was wonderful. We chose a variety of Italian selections, and all of us were pleased. The zucchini blossoms appetizer were popular. The calamari were attractively served, but not as crispy as the menu suggested - too bad. All in all, a wonderful evening.
Went there on a Saturday night. The service staff were professional and friendly and the food was great!
Great local spot, been a staple for years in Pleasantville, consistently good food!
Had a very nice time. The food was excellent - my wife and i both ordered dinner specials, and were both extremely happy with it. Service was good but not great. Had no complaints about the service, but there were a few little things that you would expect in a mid- to upscale-restaurant that we didn't get (e.g. my wife and I split an appetizer, and had to ask for separate plates, then only received one plate and it was an entree sized plate). With that said, will definitely go back.
The server was very slow with our wine order and the bottle of SB house came warm. I had to have him chill it for another 20mins. My wife found the vongola to be very dry and the stuffed artichoke was full of garlic and no taste. I wanted to love this place but left us feeling not satisfied. Sorry
Have eaten here many times. Good whenever I want a relatively quiet place with good traditional Italian food. Also very accommodating to requests for some of my favorite dishes . All and all ,a very pleasant dining experience . I will keep returning.
The restaurant was very busy on a recent Saturday night with many people who appeared to be regulars. Two of the diners in the group enjoyed their meals. I chose the cioppino--a mistake. It was very bland and the seafood was overcooked. I wouldn't return to this restaurant any time soon.
Tonight's special lamb chops were very good. Clams over linguine were rubbery and tasteless. Three fresh clams. Artichoke appetizer very small. Desserts were perfunctory. Dissppointed.
The food never disappoints. Service is top notch and very very friendly
We came here for Easter dinner and everything was phenomenal. We love coming to Mediterraneo because the food is always amazing but the atmosphere always wins us over.
We were very disappointed with the food. Both of us chose the prix fixe three course fish choice. My salad greens had clearly been cut much earlier and my husbands baked clams were mostly breading. The fish was too heavy it breaded and very salty. The only decent item was the biscotti-they were very good.
We were disappointed since the reviews were good and the place was packed. Maybe we should have gotten a pasta dish?
Had lunch with friends. Food was excellent. Stuffed artichoke and the fettuccini special was delicious.
Profiteroles for dessert!!
Service very good.
My husband and I went on a Friday for dinner and it was so great. The service was awesome (hostess and waitress were dolls) and the food was amazing! We loved the menu and their specials and appreciated that the menu was not overwhelmingly big, but had really good choices...,honestly the toughest part was picking! We looking forward to coming back soon!
Love the food
Love the service
Love the easy parking
Love the wine list
Love the noise level so you can talk to your friends
Love not to be rushed
As always, our experience was excellent! Our friends have never been there as they live in CT, and they thoroughly enjoyed and plan on returning when visiting NY. The food was delicious, the service was top notch and the ambiance was cozy and comfortable!!
Went back for the first time in many years. Not going back sooner was my loss. We had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner with friends. The food was delicious. Our waiter made the experience fun, and they were kind enough to let us keep talking way after the food was gone and just about everyone else had left. Definitely going back.
They always do a great job. Very good food and service.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at Mediterraneo, a nice little Italian find with a lively atmosphere! Carmine, our server was the best! He was super attentive, very friendly with unparalleled hospitality. We never felt pressured to leave or hurry up between servings.
The food was good. The bread was fresh and warm to crusty perfection, and served with garlic butter in evoo. For the appetizers, we ordered the beef carpaccio with arugula and shaved parmesan, which was delightful, and polenta fries, which was very flavorful, and served with gorgonzola cheese dip. We each ordered sparkling water and a glass of Malbec, which I didn't think was Malbec but paired well with the food we ate. I'm a novice with wine so what we were served may have well been Malbec but perhaps that was a label that I was unfamiliar with. The restaurant doesn't serve bottles of wine, which I found surprising. For the entrees, my girlfriend ordered the short ribs, which was tender, with risotto, which was flavorful. A serving of vegetables would have paired well with that dish too. I ordered the chicken in balsamic with hot sausage and potatoes with string beans. A couple chicken pieces were slightly tough but paired well with the hot sausage (which I loved) and balsamic reduction. The potatoes were slightly soggy and would have preferred a side a faro (now that i think about it) for the starch. Overall the dish was good for a prix fixe menu. For dessert we had a tartufo, which was excellent, and a no baked Nutella cake, which was a little on the sweet side.
Overall my girlfriend and I were very happy sharing our first Valentines Day together at Mediterraneo. We will definitely be going back to taste their regular menu!
We were there for Valentine's Day. Quiet, intimate. Staff was helpful. Fully understood we had tickets for a movie and had time constraints. The food was excellent! Especially the Brussel sprouts soup with bacon. Really delicious and not something you'd find on every menu.
good food in a casual environment. well priced. will return.
We had a wonderful time and I would very much recommend this restaurant! It is a hidden treasure!!!
Disappointed from prior experience. Loud and crowded. Appetizer was just so so but entree was w/o flavor. Won’t go back.
Very nice, comfortable, great menu we sere there very early because we had an event to get to so we cannot comment as if it were a full house!
Always enjoy our dining experience.
Our family favorite is the Spaghetti Carbonara
Consistently delivers! Very good wine selection that is moderately priced. Meatballs are outta sight!!!
