Fantastic happy hour! Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was amazing! Lucky to be sitting outside in October with a beautiful sunset view as well.
I think they have raised their prices again so not the bargain it once was but still great food and fun atmosphere.
Mediterraneo has great happy hour, and on they have Tapas Tuesday - Happy hour tapas are BOGO all night! A great spot in the Hermosa Beach for drinks and food!
I actually went the Mediterraneo on a first date. She had never had tapas before, so I thought it would be a perfect blend of classy and casual. The servers were extremely helpful in suggesting about a half dozen different dishes which were all delicious. The wine list was extensive and the house bourbon was very smooth. It definitely the perfect start to what ended up being a great night!
Tasty dishes. Great service. Friendly staff. Happy Hour Mon thru Fri 5-7 draws me back each time I'm in Hermosa Beach. Thank you!!
Food was good, nice beer selection
Brilliant dining experience and great atmosphere, try the meatballs, they are delicious!!
From time-to-time we take our dog and mountain bikes to the beach and ride for miles on LA's "boardwalk". Aside for an occasional pitstop "The Shack" in Manhattan Beach, Mediterraneo is by far our favourite roll-up destination. Outdoor seating right off the Hermosa Beach Pier -- lotta action in a pure California icon setting. Great tapas and wine spot, local beers and a great, friendly staff. Park the dog just outside the dining area, he/she won't get lonely.
We waited 30 minutes for cocktails to arrive. It was not super busy at all. Waiter could not open bottle of wine! We ended up helping her. Food was just ok. Not what we expected after reading reviews.
Happy Hour was wonderful! The tapas selection was varied and the valuable was unbeatable.
Sat on the patio, a bit noisy when we were there. The food was excellent as was the service. Small plates but two each was sufficient. All of them are good (have been here many times) so it is hard to choose.
Had s great time.
We were there for happy hour and it was an extremely great value.
The service was outstanding .
Mediterraneo -- more like Meh-deterraneo. Despite some decent reviews, this place was disappointing. Though the beer selection was great and our waitperson was quite sweet, the other staff and the food were disappointing. From the moment we arrived, when the maitre d' couldn't find our Open table reservation and then magically had a table to the waiter who dropped our food off and then failed to clear our empty plates to the late arrival of our drinks (even though she let us try a few different beers, they arrived after quite a delay and we didn't end with our beer until 3/4 of the way through our meal) it was a disappointment. The food sounded interesting but was virtually tasteless -- as if something was missing from each dish. You could probably do better in Hermosa Beach.
I was VERY disappointed that I had made my reservation early ans was seated inside, rather than outside. Apparently, one must designate a desire to sit outside when reserving a table. Nothing provides that directive however, and all unspecified reservations are automatically pushed indoors to the noisy bar areas. Not happy. Good food.
He food is great, as always. The vodka menu is ridiculous, so we just have wine. And the service is awful. It takes 20 minutes of empty glasses and a search of the restaurant to find your server. An crappy spot if you want a quick bite..
One of our favorite "go to" places to meet up with friends. Nice share plates, reasonable priced & good happy hour.
Fun to share dishes. Willing to work with food allergies and issues. Waitstaff knew menu well. Very noisey outside. Food very tasty.
This is a literal oasis in an urban environment. Staff is friendly, service is unhurried. Food was delicious. Great back drop of the lake and golf course. Patio is a wonderful spot to get lost in conversation and the pressures of daily life
We enjoyed the food and had a great dinner experience
Always enjoy their Happy Hour when I'm in Hermosa Beach!
This was just what we were looking for to celebrate Mother's Day. So close to the beach, beautiful ambiance in the outdoor seating area, nice waiter, great food.
Mediterraneo never disappoints every time I go it's better and better. Thank you for great service and amazing food.
Love this place and great service always. Always good suggestions and try make great drinks.
Food was top notch and staff/waitresses were fantastic
I ordered the Salmon and Asparagus dinner, it was fantastic. Well cooked and seasoned just right. The Kale Caesar Salad is a must have, I highly recommend. It's also one of their larger plates and goes well with the salmon. I will be going back for sure.
This is our favorite Hermosa Beach restaurant for food, service and value during Happy Hour! We bring all our out of town guests here. Everyone always enjoys.
Went for Valentine's Day. Didn't really recognize that this is a tapas bar. The place was not as busy as you would expect for Valentine's Day. We found it a bit pricey to make a full meal out of the occasion. Service was marginal. We were frequently looking for our server. The manager was busy bussing tables. Did not find it warm and welcoming. We ate and drank but not excessively for $$. We may go back for happy hour that we have been told is 2 for 1 but we won't be rushing back.
We were greeted by the restaurant GM. We chatted with our server and she mentioned they were short-staffed, however, if that were the case, you couldn't tell as they were attentive. The food was great and I am still dreaming about the cheese-stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto. They had some special menu options for Valentine's Day, from which we enjoyed the risotto-stuffed chicken. All the food was great! Also, if you bring a bottle of wine from Uncorked (wine shop up Pier Avenue) they do not assess a corkage fee.
The food was not worth the price, but the ambiance and location was nice.
We tried a lot of menu items. Nothing was horrible but the lamb was the only good thing we had. Service was also average. The location was great but it was loud.
Took way too long for our meals. Noisy little place. Food was adequate.
Probably Not going back.
The atmosphere and location make for a great date night! The food is fun, but in very small tapas portions for the price. :) So many yummy plates.
Food was adequate, tenderloin tapas a bit over done and mostly noodles, wine list is not so interesting though beer list seems better, very loud even though we sat in the outside area, server and service okay
We had a fabulous meal sharing all kinds of great platters. We even received a two for one discount because we went early. The wait staff was very polite and we would definitely go back.
I've been many times. Always good. Shared small plates. Hummus, chicken skewers, crispy cauliflower, caprese. Great beers. Very attentive and friendly service.
Brian was an excellent server, very patient and personable
The food and service have been consistently great for a long period of time. The menu has its own unique style, without being being pretentious and overly creative. They have an outstanding variety of tapas, which makes it a great place to share food with a significant other, or a group of friends. Lastly, they offer a great selection of beers and wine, and a really cool happy hour that I really recommend.
We've come here for years. The food is always tasty & more filling than you'd expect. The service is good - sometimes more friendly than other times but always prompt & professional. The people watching is prime, especially on the weekend. Make a reservation!
Fun and reasonably priced. Good for groups and close to the beach.
