Great food and character.
We have been to this restaurant every year on our girls weekend. It’s always been great.
Unfortunately, this time it wasn’t. The service was terrible… very slow considering there were only a few people in the restaurant. We waited 20 minutes just for our drinks. We won’t be returning next year.
Mixed experience. Nice people, inviting little restaurant in Victory Park. Food was very good, but the salad my wife and I shared was warm in temperature, and the glasses of red wine we had were warm as well. Seemed as if both had been sitting in a hot kitchen before being served. Service was inconsistent as well. Labneh with harissa was delicious, as were our entrees (shrimp skewers and tenderloin and prune tagine). Indoor dining and a limited outdoor dining area as well.
We live in the neighborhood and it was our first time back since the pandemic. This is a beloved restaurant that has been unique in surviving the crash of the original Victory Park. It has changed ownership for the first time since it was originally founded. The new owner Suzanna is welcoming amd attentive. Her mother is the chef. The homey feel remains. The food is even better! We plan to return often! Check it out if you do not know it already.
This place was so good! Probably the best Mediterranean food in uptown.
Most items on the menu were not available. We ordered a beef tagine, which was tough and inedible (and $30), as well as a dry seafood dish that had exactly one shrimp in it. My cocktail was great, though, once I found one they actually had available. My partner's wine never arrived, and they wouldn't let us get olive oil with our pita because "it doesn't come with oil" even though I was willing to pay for it and they had oil? The atmosphere was great and cozy, but the food was very bad, unfortunately. We spent $85 on two dishes and one drink, and then went somewhere else to eat.
Another excellent pre-game meal before heading to AAC for a Stars game. The beef pizza is amazing! Enjoy having a healthy meal instead of eating fried, high calorie meal at the stadium. Will continue to come here regularly before events at AAC.
We ordered marrakesh chicken breast, Andalusian shrimp, hummus and the moroccan coffee. Food was delivered on time, the service was great. We sat indoors as we noticed they also provided hookah services. The ambience is coupled with music which is apt for the theme of the restaurant.
The waiter was the best, the food delicious, the ambiance great. Love having Medina in the neighborhood.
We sat outside. Wonderful!
We’ve been customers for years... but probably won’t be back. Food was ok - but nowhere near as good as pre Covid. Waited almost a full hour for entrées, as did everybody else.Sad to see that at this gem of a restaurant
While I’m sure I could tell you all about the food, I’m not able. I’ve dined at Medina several times before and it was actually a nice experience. But it’s been awhile so I have no idea what changed. But, i experienced a sudden death of a friend and have been so sad and depressed. You couldn’t get me to come out of the house. After the burial, I was ready to go out with friends who had been supporting me. I had a reservation and was excited because I liked this place and my friends wanted to try it.
So we get there, and once everyone was there we sat for at least 20 minutes before anyone seen about us. We had to get the waiter to get us waters and when he brought them he had a rude disposition. We didn’t get their new drink menu (apparently they were revamping their drinks) until after that. We ordered drinks and that was another 20 minutes of us just sitting there with water. We witnessed another party who came in and they sat about as long as we did with no acknowledgement. We also let them know about that. After almost an hour of no food, no drinks. I let the manager know that this was unacceptable and we no longer want anything. We left and went to Jinya which is nearby where we were seated, got food, and drinks all within 20 minutes. I won’t be going back to Medina. At all!
Great overall experience.
Excellent food as expected. Menu and recipes altered due to pandemic, but still great. This is our favorite place to dine before a game at the AAC. We all really missed meeting up here before a game. It was great to be back at Medina, the AAC, and uptown Dallas after 13 months due to the pandemic. Hopefully, can return again soon.
Amazing food as usual, great service! Susanna was delightful and we will be back! Thank you!
The place looks very nice and the atmosphere is great.
Food was tasty but they brought the wrong order. They offered to change it but we kept it.
We also were charged incorrectly and they fixed it.
Overall I think it's a little bit pricey for the kind of food they serve.
Love this place. Great food and service.
Food was amazing! Ambiance and service was great! Did have a bit of a wait after asking for time to look over menu. Food is made fresh as your order, so expect a bit of a waiting time too, but it’s worth it! Definitely will be back!
Don’t eat here. Gfgvvvvvvvvnnnnnnnnnnjjjjjjjjjjnjj
The service and food were impeccable. We always love coming here for a date night.
Food is excellent, service perfect and the ambience makes it all. Waiters never hovered but you were never without anything. Food portions were large and everything so fresh.
This was a very good resturant. The food was exceptional but the portions were not equivalent to the price. The service was good but the language barrier was hard to over come at times. Overall I highly recommend if you enjoy Moroccan food!
Love this place. Amazing food and staff.
First time diners at this Restaurant. Great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Price was reasonable, as we say in Hawaii, the food was Onolicious (damn good?)
The chicken tagine is extraordinary! I like it when they keep their lights low rather than turned up. It’s better ambience at night.
There have been many changes since our last visit; however, they are minor. The food is still just as delicious and some dishes are even better!! We will be back and more often to ensure the success of this restaurant!
We were greeted by nice staff and the ambience was very unique. The food wasn’t that great but the drinks were tasty. Great atmosphere for a photo op.
Fantastic as usual! The Mid-Rim salad with sea-bass (or really any protein you choose) is one of my fave salads in town - and the appetizer plate and kababs were delicious as well. Ending with Moroccan hot tea on a chilly night was a perfect ending.
Wonderful atmosphere and great Mediterranean food.
I was disappointed with the sausages - very thin and flavor wasn’t as expected, salad had a regular mesclun mix you can get at Kroger... Portions were small and with no accompaniments, Labne and hummus was good. The menu available on their website wasn’t the menu that was given to us upon arrival (some dishes where unavailable), they need to update the website. No wine list, although there’s a bar.
They could be better if more attention is payed to these smaller details.
All that said we could be back.
Medina has great food, a cool middle eastern vibe, and nice servers. There is also a nice patio with lots of outdoor seating. The night we were there, Medina was struggling with the amount of kitchen staff (1 person) and 2 servers. They recognized the issue, and we enjoyed a very leisurely dinner. Be patient with them during this COVID time.
Wonderful food and friendly staff
Always consistent. Authentic ! Great food v
The restaurant was excellent as far as food was concerned, except it seemed that the restaurant was a little smoke from the cooking. The ventilation could have been better. I definitely would recommend the restaurant.
Medina dies not disappoint. I’ve been eating here fir 5 years. They are always consistent. A truly great place to dine.
Food was Great!!
the waitress was coughing, hacking the entire time - all over the restaurant. Even if it wasn't a covid situation, should this person actually be working? I felt nervous and uncomfortable the whole dinner.
Meow and the meow ate meow.
This restaurant is a gem. The food was authentic and delicious.
The owner stopped at our table to introduce herself which in the world of today is quite unusual. Yes, people care.
I wish them the best of luck for the future.
I was passing thru Dallas on a work event and I will most definitely be back.
The food was very good, had some good suggestions from the staff. They were definitely accommodating for our seating and meal. Will definitely go back again soon.
