Medina Oven & Bar
Consistently very good
The vegetarian couscous was bland and disappointing. We had to ask for juice to add to it because it was so dry and tasteless.
Outstanding food and service!!!! No complaints....A definite repeat!! :<)
Friend in town for a concert at AA Center
Chef made me a special vegan entree that was not in the menu and even more delicious than I could’ve imagined. Enjoyed every bite. Hummus is excellent!
Great as always! I tried the tenderloin skewer and the Med-rim Margarita. Both excellent!
We love this place. Great food and great friendly service.
Authentic and creative Turkish food. Lovely atmosphere. Have tried several different entrees served in tagines and all are outstanding. The sauteed calamari appetizer is another stand-out item! If the tagines weren't SO good, I'd sample several appetizers for dinner. Medina is far above the usual hummus and kabobs restaurant.
Great food! Manager is awesome. They will cater to all your needs. Try the Beef tangine or the Beef Kefta Pizza. Their skewers are also delicious !!!
This is our new favorite spot near AAC and Victory Park. Love the food!
It was great!
Simply the best
Simply one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.
Return guest. Last time was over a year ago. Food n attention to detail showed in the food. Owner was present n working hard to make our food awesome. Even though our table was not ready, we were reserved 2 spots at the bar to guarantee us our concert time. Excellent. Will return sooner than later.
Medina is a small cozy restaurant that was turning away walking on a Saturday evening, so get a reservation. The Morracan influence is present throughout the menu. Is great for a date night or small table of four. Have been there several times and never disappointed.
We found Medina to be very over priced for the dining experience. The food was pretty good, not excessively exceptional. The drinks were good, the wait staff pretty good, but he had dirty fingernails which was concerning. It was just not memorable at all.
Very nice place. There for a pre-game meal before the Stars game. The service was excellent. The food was great. Really a great selection and very tasty. We’ll be back
Food was amazing, the owner was sweet as usual! Always my favorite place!
Close to American Airlines center, great spot for dinner before going to a show or sporting event, walkable distance. Food is delicious, wonderful spices and fresh ingredients!!
The food is decent, the decor is nice -- but the server has repeatedly bugged us with "offers" of wine or and liquor. We won't be back!
Excellent ambience, food and service. Interesting change to the norm.
We were attending a concert and Medina was close for dinner. They did a great job at recommending dinner items to order and promised we’d be out in time for our show. Food was really good and our server did a great job. This was our 4-5th visit and has always been consistently good. We enjoy the intimacy of the restaurant.
Awesome place with great food!
One of my favorite neighborhood places. Sammy, the owner, is usually there to great you. Service is always great.
Our server was good. He was alone and got busy halfway through our meal. The other staff was really rude. He asked us to get out of the restaurant so he could mop after our server told us to go in, he interrupted our conversations to clear the table, he cleaned windows of the doors and made my guests wait in the cold until he was done, he looked annoyed when we asked for something. The food was over priced, small portions and not exceptional as many reviews suggest.
The food was as close to visiting Morocco as I have found in the United States. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The owner was there and came over to speak with us when I told our waiter thatI have family living in Morocco.
We dined here prior to a concert at the American Airlines arena, and couldn't have chosen a better place. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious, and the dishes were interesting and flavorful. They had some great cocktails, too. The service was attentive and quick, but not at all rushed.
Excellent as always. My wife & I always have dinner before shows at HOB & games at AAC. The vibe great and the food is amazing.
Great service and delicious food! I had the Beef Tenderloin Tagine.
Great restaurant - we had a large group and the food and service were perfect. We had some members of our party with various dietary restrictions, yet all found multiple things on the menu they really enjoyed. This was one of the best meals I've had in Dallas.
Be sure to order the beef "cigars". Awesome!
Our favorite! Great for any occasion. Always treated like family and the food is delicious.
I have been before and recommended this place for my good friend’s birthday dinner last Friday. Everything I told them was true. The restaurant’s decor is beautiful! They never tried Moroccan food but LOOOOOOOVED IT! But most importantly, the service! They’re always sweet and extremely friendly! This place is a gem and I will be back!
Blown away by the service and food. It’s a smaller space, more intimate space. Which really made it feel like a more personal experience. I’m not even big on Hummus but I helped my fiancée lick the bowl clean! Would highly recommend to anyone in the downtown area. 5/5
Food was great especially the lamb chops and the marrakesh chicken. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Service was not great. Waitress had too many tables. Once another waiter arrived, then the service improved.
Food and ambiance was excellent...our server was a bit rude/rushed. We will go back, hoping for a different server.
We went to Medina Oven and Bar this past Saturday for what was part casual dining and part special occasion. If we were rating just the food we would have given Medina five stars. The smoked eggplant appetizer with which we began was very good and actually an "appetizer" -- it didn't overwhelm the food that followed. Our entrees were the Apricot Chicken Tangine and Seafood Couscous, both well-prepared and well-presented. For dessert, we shared a creme brulee and we had three well-made drinks from the bar. The problem was the service. Our waitress was fine. But towards the end of the evening a large party in our section of the restaurant left and restaurant staff swooped in quickly to rearrange tables. Evidently our table for two was supposed to be a table four in the restaurant's seating chart because restaurant staff pushed another small table into ours, pulled salt and pepper, etc. off our table AS IF WE WEREN'T THERE. We pushed the table back to recover our table for two. But staff would have none of it -- they again swooped in and again slammed the second table into ours. Even when we asked our waitress, if they couldn't wait until we left (and we were on dessert at the time) she only reluctantly conceded. For one of us, the entire evening was spoiled and the number of stars should be "two" for the lack of consideration; but the other of us prevailed, on the strength of the food. This said, the restaurant ownership should perhaps have a discussion with staff: there never should be a case at a good restaurant where the seating chart should take precedence over the diners who are actually there.
This is our second time eating at the restaurant. We live in Fort Worth but frequently attend concerts at the House of Blues. Not only is the restaurant right around the corner from the American Airlines center and the House of Blues but the food and service is EXCEPTIONAL !!!! Would definetely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food before a concert or a game in the entertainment district!
Not enough good things to say about this place. I highly recommend the Dips- the eggplant is amazing. The pita bread is served warm and delicious. My absolute favorite things are the Phyllos. Wow. You cannot go wrong with any of the 4 choices.
The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing evening dinner alone or with friends. After a stressful day , it's great to come in and be greeted by the waitstaff or the amazing owner, Sam. The food is delicious and always fresh . If I could eat there daily, I would. Everything on the menu is delicious. Mario makes sure to make a beautiful presentation to delicious food. Love this place.
