Terrible service. Delivered two peoples meals at the table and one was wrong. They kept forgetting to bring her food. Several burgers went out to other tables but not hers. Once it arrived it was obviously rushed because it was very undercooked. Terrible experience and will never go again.
Being a restaurant in a hotel where many functions are held, you would think they would be able to handle increased # of patrons and orders.
First they had us (party of 7) wait only to find out they squeezed all 7 us into a 5 person round table rather than put 2 four person tables together. They were not busy. The hostess immediately said she was told to do it after indicating our disappointment.
Second, service was extremely slow. At one point they brought the dinner plate for one person (not the one child’s mind you) and didn’t bring everyone else’s plate until about 15 minutes later. No explanation and again they were not very busy. Of course, much of the food was not very hot.
Do not use Open Table to make a reservation. Media Grill & Bar does not check it. Still got a table, but they told us they do not use Open Table.
The online menu we found didn't match the in-house menu which was very disappointing since what we had decided on before getting there wasn't available any longer. Significant changes were noted. Food we did get was good as was the service. The open air concept to the hotel lobby made the temperature a bit too cold for comfort. Menu was pretty limited. Manager did stop by and provided some free appetizers because of the menu snaffoo which was nice.
Review downgraded due to arriving at restaurant and being told that the restaurant does not accept Open Table reservations on Fridays. I showed the hostess my confirmation email and she was not impressed. She did say that they would look for a table. My business party waited until a table was available and the meeting came off fine. And the food was fine as well. However, the initial rather curt response set a negative and embarrassing tone. Had we had time to leave the hotel, we would have done so. What topped off the event was getting an email from Open Table scolding me for being a "no show". This one was on the restaurant in my opinion for not having better informed Open Table of their restrictions. It does make me wonder if calling a restaurant directly rather using Open Table is a safer way to go in the future.
The ambience is good. Food was Ok as not many options especially if you are vegetarian.
The biggest disappointment was that thier website was misleading. They said they had dance and DJ and forced us to make a reservation after 10 PM. I took my wife to celebrate her Birthday and there is no dance and DJ. They said they dont have it any more for quite some time.
Ordered Thai rice and it was just a rice with coconut milk and steamed vegetables.
But the service was relly good and waiter was really attentive.
Nice place to hang out and watch football. Food was not spectacular but definitely better than normal bar food.
Made a reservation on Open Table. The hostess had no record of my reservation. Had to wait until a table became available. Minor inconvenience.
Got order wrong and not a lot of variety. Need bettter wine menu for a bybthe glass order.
okay place to go. service needs work. food was like eating at a texas roadhouse
Needs a new chief. When the food is great, everything else falls into place. When the food is off, it down plays the entire experience
Besonderer Anlass wurde ignoriert. Wünsche wurden ignoriert. Kellner sehr ruhig gewesen. Essen nichts besonderes. Nicht kinderfreundlich.
We were celebrating a birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meal from burgers to steaks. Ramon was an awesome server.
Our family was not impressed with the quality of food at the price point we paid. We all left food on our plates, which is a cardinal sin in our family. This is a great place for a meet and greet, but i recommend you plan your sit down meal elsewhere.
This place is expensive for the quality of food that you get! It's good food but the burger is. It worth $15+
Loved the tortilla soup and the coconut rice bowl. Service was great too.
Great service and they made our table larger when I asked as it was too crowded before. Sat on the "outside" in atrium area which was quieter. Food is good but small menu and a little expensive.
Waiter was excellent and warned us that a huge group was coming in so we should order soon--which we did.
Very nice... I enjoyed the lunch food, menu. The art work was stunning. Valet was attentive and very professional.
Great food and atmosphere. A bit noisy. We enjoyed the burgers and the fish tacos were delicious!
The pub burger was flavorless but you were given a lot of fries...Wouldn't go back.
Good food. Great service. The only affordable restaurant in the large hotel. Our server was knowledgeable about the city and was able to recommend things to do and places to eat. Menu is very limited.
The food and server were fine. Unfortunately, our reservation for 8 only came with a table set for 6 people, so two people in our group had to go eat elsewhere. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a reservation for a specific number (that I booked multiple months in advance) and was quite embarrassing as this was a business lunch meeting.
We were part of a large conference. The restaurant seemed overwhelmed which is surprising for a large hotel that has large conferences frequently. It was a challenge for the wait staff and kitchen to keep up.
My daughter's macaroni and cheese was brought to the table, and my hamburger arrived ten minutes later. $15 for a bowl of pasta with melted cheese on it. Small hamburger with a few fries. Nothing special here.
Ordered a mac and cheese, not very impressed with flavor. Waiter upsold the chicken and it was cold. Ate about 1/4 and packed it away. Never went back to finish it later tossed it away
Very nice decor, ambiance, and service with an upscale sports bar/lounge feel!
We scheduled an event and wanted our first night's meal at the hotel. Prior to our trip, we researched all the restaurants' menus available online. Our decision to chose Media Grill would allow to accommodate our group which included hot entrees and sandwiches.
When we were seated, we were handed the menu titled Express Menu. When asked about the entrees we saw online, we were told the menu was outdated for several months. But the manager offered off-menu items and was very attentive to our requests.
I booked a reservation expecting the grill to be busy. We arrived to find the bar wasn't busy at all. This is fine but I would think that with it not being busy and having a reservation, we would be seated in a nice area of the establishment. Not the case. We were seated in the outer foyer next to the walkway of the hotel. This was inconvenient as there were occupants of the hotel passing by in there swimsuits going to the pool. Service was slow despite the bar not being busy. The grilled chicken sandwich was excellent as was the salad. The fish tacos were mediocre as the fish was soggy and lacking flavor. The drinks were tasty. The Moscow Mule comes highly recommended. It's a nice paring of vodka and lime. The raspberry martinis were perfect. On any liquor that comes with ice, be sure to ask for less ice. My first whiskey on the rocks was more like rocks on a little whiskey. Very watered down. Ultimately, this is a bar with good food. I can't speak much on the ambience as the foyer seating in similar to a mall food court. I settled with the foyer seating because we could still see the televisions; however, after being there 20 minutes, the glass doors between the bar and foyer were closed separating us from the bar. The value was poor as two meals and four drinks was roughly $86+tip. I will try a different locale next time.
Considering this restaurant is in a large, conference hotel, you'd think the servers would see an opportunity to earn more tips by hustling. That is not the case, drinks took at least 20 minutes during lunch, ordering food was another 20, but the food was great. Convenience is key for this place & that's why I gave it 3 stars, no need to leave the property other than service or if you have more than 2 hours for a lunch.
I was part of a large convention at the hotel and had made my noon lunch reservation with my clients two months in advance. When we got there, we were ushered to a dimly lit back room. We did not get menus for 15 minutes. After we finally found a wait person to bring us menus, it took another 15 minutes for someone to (gruffly) take our orders. We didn't get our food until almost 1PM - simple salads! Looking around the dining room, all the diners were in the same situation. My clients had to rush their meal to make another appointment. You would think the restaurant would have been prepared given the 2,000+ convention attendees in the hotel, booked years in advance. Note to hotel - communicate with your convention sales staff and be prepared!
This really is the only game in town as there is nothing around the hotel or in it for a modest-priced lunch. The food is lackluster and the lighting in the back room grim. You expect more from this beautiful hotel!
So first off Shawn is a great waiter...I suggest requesting him if you have a few min to wait. He goes above and beyond, but the bar is so busy I don't think the staff can keep up so we did have some slow points. Food was overall good. The short ribs were a hit.
It was very hard to talk. Food was ok . Had to wait 15 minutes for service then moved to bar in order to get drinks
too loud and very poor service.....would not go back,.....food was ok...nothing special.....
Very loud and service was extremely slow and inattentive ... Price's were absurd for a casual eatery ...would NOT recommend
Entree choices are limited. But what is there is fabulous and the service is excellent.
I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but great for easy dining if staying in or attending conf at Hilton Anatole. We waited a long time for food but friendly staff. They were very busy. I recommend the Turkey and Avacado sandwich and also the fried pickles were delish!
Great food - we had the dip sampler, beef cigars and a couple of the phyllos. The service was wonderful - Alex, our server was very helpful with suggestions, and very friendly, The owner, Sam, stopped by to talk to us, and on finding out that we were celebrating our anniversay, surprised us at the end of the meal with a dessert and drinks. Overall, a wonderful experience, made even more special, by the servers and Sam.
I made reservation on line for my 50 gathering.came in everything was set and ready to go no questions asked.had the most AWESOME TIME.AND WILL GO BACK
Pricey but delicious which is surprising for a hotel lunch place.
