Staff was friendly and very attentive!
We were there for a seminar and i was shocked at how un prepared they were for large groups. I would thing they would pla n for this super long wait time to get back to a table and then a long time until a server came over. They did a great job just very under staffed
Service was horrific and slow
This is one of the few places to eat at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. The food was almost inedible. The wait staff were kind and courteous but not available very often. I would order Grubhub or Doordash if you are staying and do not have a car/time to go out.
For our annual 3 generation of strong women summer trip we could not have picked a better place to dine! Our waiter was amazing and attentive. The food from children’s spaghetti to perfectly cooked filet mignon was delicious. Great deviled eggs. Peaceful and quiet dining area. Absolutely recommend!
Pretty average. Long wait for table and then for food. Slow service.
It’s good food but a fairly limited menu. Staff are great!!
Unbelievably slow service. We were practically ignored the entire time we were there. Water was never refilled. Waiter didn’t know how to split a check.
it was a very quiet and nice lunch
New Years Eve dinner before party event at the hotel
I wasn't impressed with the food, quite place for a conversation. Plane burger.
Good!! The salmon was awesome along with the cheese board! Easy access in Anatole Hotel off Stemmons!
we ate on a slow saturday night at 6:30pm and the service was "odd" and poor - server didn't recognize the menu items and told us we had "old" menus then laughed and said we will "try" our order to see if it was back there, poured tea into my glass of diet coke and rarely came back to refresh drinks. I had lettuce wraps that were very tasteless and had to flag down a staffer and ask for soy sauce. As a Texan and half-asian I can say that the lettuce wraps were really bad. This place is expensive with small portions.
Not impressed for what you pay but pretty much only place to eat at hotel
We were attending a conference at the hotel. Reservations for 5 were made a week in advance for an early dinner. Upon arrival, we were handed a menu with 4 entrees which included 2 different burgers. The wait staff had explained they were running out of food. Restaurant was understaffed, overpriced. Burger was fair, at best. Would not recommend.
We were in for a conference, and made a lunch reservation through OpenTable. The food was good and pretty reasonably priced. There was a moderate wait for our food, but it was busy. Overall it was a good experience...much better than most of the other reviews described.
Ate there twice while at a conference in the hotel. Waited an hour for the food to arrive both times. While it is conveniently located it is not expedient. Since the hotel knows when they have conventions on site they should be adequately prepared for a high volume of people - so I assume the service is that way all the time. The food is very good, but if you don't have 1.5-2 hours to spend there then I recommend you try another place.
Limited menu. I ordered the fried chicken, which was noted as a restaurant favorite. It was soggy and sub par. My husband ordered the farmhouse burger and ate 3 bites. Wasn’t good enough to finish. We tried the restaurant because the kids meals are included with the Hilton’s resort fee. The kids buffet seemed to have been sitting out for a long time. It was dried out and unappetizing. If you are not wanting to leave the hotel for dinner, do yourself a favor and order pizza to the room. It would have saved us $100 and would have been 100 times better.
Bad service, food is pricey. We travel almost an hour to dine here but was very disappointed.
The Host/Hostess positions could use some training. They did not greet us when we arrived. We waited because we had a reservation. When we gave her the reservation info, she totally ignored it; she didn’t check the system, just sat us at a table. They didn’t document it so we got a no show e-mail from Open Table. Positive - Our Waiter was wonderful & provided great service.
We have gone there two years in a row both times the food came out wrong, it was cold, the appetizers came out incorrect, a bar drink came out incorrect. The server was very nice but the experience was lacking.
Awful. Food was cold, horrible service, disgusting.
The food was terrible!
Terrible service. Delivered two peoples meals at the table and one was wrong. They kept forgetting to bring her food. Several burgers went out to other tables but not hers. Once it arrived it was obviously rushed because it was very undercooked. Terrible experience and will never go again.
Being a restaurant in a hotel where many functions are held, you would think they would be able to handle increased # of patrons and orders.
First they had us (party of 7) wait only to find out they squeezed all 7 us into a 5 person round table rather than put 2 four person tables together. They were not busy. The hostess immediately said she was told to do it after indicating our disappointment.
Second, service was extremely slow. At one point they brought the dinner plate for one person (not the one child’s mind you) and didn’t bring everyone else’s plate until about 15 minutes later. No explanation and again they were not very busy. Of course, much of the food was not very hot.
Do not use Open Table to make a reservation. Media Grill & Bar does not check it. Still got a table, but they told us they do not use Open Table.
The online menu we found didn't match the in-house menu which was very disappointing since what we had decided on before getting there wasn't available any longer. Significant changes were noted. Food we did get was good as was the service. The open air concept to the hotel lobby made the temperature a bit too cold for comfort. Menu was pretty limited. Manager did stop by and provided some free appetizers because of the menu snaffoo which was nice.
Review downgraded due to arriving at restaurant and being told that the restaurant does not accept Open Table reservations on Fridays. I showed the hostess my confirmation email and she was not impressed. She did say that they would look for a table. My business party waited until a table was available and the meeting came off fine. And the food was fine as well. However, the initial rather curt response set a negative and embarrassing tone. Had we had time to leave the hotel, we would have done so. What topped off the event was getting an email from Open Table scolding me for being a "no show". This one was on the restaurant in my opinion for not having better informed Open Table of their restrictions. It does make me wonder if calling a restaurant directly rather using Open Table is a safer way to go in the future.
The ambience is good. Food was Ok as not many options especially if you are vegetarian.
The biggest disappointment was that thier website was misleading. They said they had dance and DJ and forced us to make a reservation after 10 PM. I took my wife to celebrate her Birthday and there is no dance and DJ. They said they dont have it any more for quite some time.
Ordered Thai rice and it was just a rice with coconut milk and steamed vegetables.
But the service was relly good and waiter was really attentive.
Nice place to hang out and watch football. Food was not spectacular but definitely better than normal bar food.
Made a reservation on Open Table. The hostess had no record of my reservation. Had to wait until a table became available. Minor inconvenience.
Got order wrong and not a lot of variety. Need bettter wine menu for a bybthe glass order.
okay place to go. service needs work. food was like eating at a texas roadhouse
Needs a new chief. When the food is great, everything else falls into place. When the food is off, it down plays the entire experience
Besonderer Anlass wurde ignoriert. Wünsche wurden ignoriert. Kellner sehr ruhig gewesen. Essen nichts besonderes. Nicht kinderfreundlich.
We were celebrating a birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meal from burgers to steaks. Ramon was an awesome server.
Our family was not impressed with the quality of food at the price point we paid. We all left food on our plates, which is a cardinal sin in our family. This is a great place for a meet and greet, but i recommend you plan your sit down meal elsewhere.
This place is expensive for the quality of food that you get! It's good food but the burger is. It worth $15+
Loved the tortilla soup and the coconut rice bowl. Service was great too.
Great service and they made our table larger when I asked as it was too crowded before. Sat on the "outside" in atrium area which was quieter. Food is good but small menu and a little expensive.
Waiter was excellent and warned us that a huge group was coming in so we should order soon--which we did.
