Three adults reserved a table for Sunday brunch, and had a wonderful meal, served unobtrusively yet attentively. I look forward to returning.
Absolute gem in Brooklyn and well deserved Michelin Star. Service was attentive and never over-bearing. The food was spectacular, my chicken roulade was perfectly cooked, and the ribs were phenomenal. Best of all, the price is a bargain for what you get.
Get the duck ragu! Ocums razor for desert 🤤
We love Meadowsweet! First time for our friends (our fourth!) and we had a lovely brunch. Good and service were outstanding, the setting is just so lovely.
Fantastic food served on time by a friendly and attentive staff.
Delicious from start to finish. Highly recommend for a special night.
We had the most amazing experience at Meadowsweet. The staff was kind, helpful, and not pretentious. The dishes were unique, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. They even gave us complementary Prosecco for our anniversary! Meadowsweet absolutely exceeded our expectations and it’s a dinner we won’t soon forget.
incredible food & service. this place is quite the hidden gem. will be coming back for sure!
Excellent food and attentive service. We enjoyed the experience immensely.
Food is excellent! Quality great, service good, low key vibe but that's what I like.
İts good! But could be more exceptional
Very nice food but probably nicer vibe to sit outside rather than inside at the back.
Just not the level of service, attention and details of what you would expect for a Michelin Star Restaurant.
I really like this place. It's been solid every time I've eaten here. I would recommend it to people. However, is it Michelin star worthy? Not especially. Although I suppose that designation doesn't prove much, anyway...
Loved it! Very chic Brooklyn setting. Lots of people on Saturday night dates and girls’ nights out. The service was outstanding! Loved the Pisco Sour and the signature crispy artichokes with lemon were yummy. Everything was delicious and they made a lovely accommodation for simple pasta for our 9 year old.
I’ve been to Meadowsweet one other time and the experience was fantastic. A friend was coming to visit from out of town so I decided to bring him for dinner. My guest was running late and the restaurant host was very accommodating and helped push out the reservation by 30 minutes.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly host and seated immediately. That’s pretty much where the Michelin star experience started to unravel. The food was good but not exceptional like my first visit. That said, it was the service that really spoiled the entire night.
No one asked us how our food was— ever. We ordered a carafe of wine that was essentially one glass for each of us. After our appetizers, our glasses were empty and no one asked if we wanted more wine for the rest of the evening. Our server was no where to be found. The main course arrived, and again no one ever came back to check in.
My guest happened to take out his credit card after the main course was cleared. The server decided that this meant we didn’t want coffee or dessert. He came over, didn’t ask how our food was and brought the check. At this point we were so appalled that we gave the credit for payment. I was so angry that I spoke to the waiter to express my disappointment with the experience. He then came over with one dessert to share that he chose for us as an apology. What would have been better is to ask if we wanted dessert and to offer us the chance to continue our meal. Although after the night we had, all we wanted to do was get out of there.
There was nothing about the evening deserving of Michelin Star. Such a disappointment compared to my first experience at Meadowsweet.
We ate outside...next to garbage cans. Our choice but probably wouldn’t eat outside again due to smell and flies. Service was great and food was delicious but somewhat pricey for portions given.
Loved the ribs and duck! Thought their sauces were slightly overpowering. The panna cotta and tuile were delicious! My last bite of tuile was a bit greasy but nevertheless I feel humbled by your glorious creations.
Service was great, wine was lovely but the food and general vibe left us wanting more
Everything was great. My husband and I were celebrating a big anniversary and they surprised us with a few treats throughout that made the occasion even more special and memorable. The food was delicious and the staff very attentive. Would come back again to try the tasting menu (we ordered a la carte dishes).
10/10, delicious food, great ambiance, everything on point
Awesome food, great service and a nice decor. The restaurant was crowded but we didn’t feel packed in.
Visiting my son who just moved to Brooklyn
The woman at the front desk apparently so needs to exert some power that she creates drama that is odd and unnecessary and would be comical if it were it not so offensive. As a result, you begin the evening wondering what other strange things are going to happen. The food and the room prove to be fine, but it seems like they want to be more casual than fine dining and more elevated than farm to table and end up like the hostess, putting on airs in shorts.
Overpriced. Not bad. Service was lacking.
The dayboat scallop dish was one of the best things I've tasted in a while. Everything else I tried was good, too, but I'll be thinking about those scallops for a while. Enjoyed a lovely intimate birthday dinner there with a few close friends.
Everything was great -- from our first appetizer to the final dessert. The food was fresh, creative and nicely balanced. We started with the Shishitos peppers, paired them with Manhattans, and ordered some crispy baby artichokes and spanish octopus. Then we had the pappardelle & chanterelles that a was terrific. We ordered the spiced duck for the main course and it was fantastic. We finished with blueberry buttermilk buckle, and it was the perfect end to a wonderful evening.
Loved our server she was the sweetest
One of the best meals I can remember having. We came for our wedding anniversary and the staff was so sweet. Truly unique and delicious food- we had the tasting menu and it was divine!
Was disappointed. While food was good was not exceptional. Truffle pasta had little flavor. I ordered 3 appetizers and all came out at once.
Amazing food. Great layers of flavor.
Burrata and baby artichokes were great. Duck and salmon prepared perfectly.
Had a really nice brunch. Food was great, cocktails were yummy. Staff was friendly and patient.
Nice space, great food, good service. However, I don't think it really justifies the 1 Star Michelin. But maybe because I'm used to European standards of Michelin star restaurants. Good price / quality however.
The food and service was outstanding. Our evening is one that we will remember for a very long time. We will certainly look to Meadowsweet when we celebrate a special evening out!
A+ for service but a solid C for food. While nothing was bad, nothing was amazing either. Everything we ordered was all very vanilla and uninspiring. I had expected more from this restaurant as far as flavor and creativity. If you're taking someone out who is cautious about trying new foods or flavors, this is your place, as nothing is really all that surprising and is truly quite predictable. If you're going as someone looking for new and exciting, this isn't your spot. Again though, the service was top notch and I give them credit where credit is due!
We were a party of 6 with Sunday evening reservations. Since we were hoping to host a rehearsal dinner here, we wanted to taste as much of the menu as possible. So, we ordered almost every appetizer, several entrees and all the desserts on offer. Everyone tasted everything and there wasn't a bad bite to be had. I have never cared for duck, but the duck we were served was delicious. Anything fried was light and crispy, the salads were creative and dressed with a just-right hand and I think the flourless chocolate cake was the best I have ever eaten. One of my favorite dishes was the vegetarian spiced eggplant.
Service was excellent - knowledgeable about the food, attentive and prompt without any hovering or rushing.
The restaurant had a nice buzz, but it was easy for us to converse at our table without the need to shout or raise our voices.
Finally, the prices are reasonable - especially considering the high quality of the food.
To say I highly recommend this restaurant is an understatement.
The food is awesome!! Drinks as well. On the expensive side, but overall good.
The food was delicious
The Nero pasta is to die for, best I have had so don't miss it. Ribs were good though a *bit* saucy for my taste, but still good to share. Solid wine pour, only needed 1 glass for the meal (rare!). Last but definitely not least the bread and whipped Italian butter is absurdly good - thankfully they only served one bun or I would have eaten myself to death. Great place.
Don’t walk to Meadowsweet’s brunch- run!
-I’ve never tried anything there I didn’t like
-super friendly and sincere service- it’s clear the team there is happy and enjoys having folks eat there
-cool atmosphere whether you’re inside or outside
