What Insiders Are Saying
There’s this thing. It’s called The Feel Good Factor™. Meadowsweet in Williamsburg has a whole bunch of it.
The service was subpar and the establishment seemed to not have AC. It was not an enjoyable experience as it was sweltering inside the restaurant.
Every dish was delicious. Between the 4 of us we had 6 appetizers, 2 mains and 3 desserts. Not one complaint.
Bartender had a bit of an attitude problem, but experience was otherwise fantastic (food was incredible). Highly recommend
Great place for the Birthday celebration of my 30 year old son. Food is really excellent.
The place is cosy but the service is not especially nice or friendly and the food very common. I expected more from a 1 Michelin star restaurant
We had all the appetizers when we visited (as they appeared to appeal more on paper) and we not disappointed. The food was fresh, tasty and we left full. Will totally recommend this restaurant to friends and colleagues.
Taste-wise every dish is worthy of the Michelin star. The presentation of the plating has room to improve. Service is excellent.
We went here for my husband’s birthday. It was, hands down, the best meal I’ve ever had. The 5-course tasting menu is the way to go. It was amazing! We can’t wait to go back!
All around a great place. The wine list is small but well chosen and reasonably priced. More truly vegetarian options would be welcome.
We arrived early, were promptly seated and greeted by our server. Service was concise and timely, dishes were brought out and replaced methodically. The food itself was very well prepared and thoughtfully plated without much frivolity.
The food was really good, but how the menu works was not quite clear. Wines often came later than the food. That was really negative in such a classy restaurant.
Waitress refused to change our allocated table and made no effort to address our request with plenty of tables available
Fantastic brunch menu with unique drinks and fabulous appetizers. We had 5 and we had a wonderful time. Food is so great don’t rush, take every minute to enjoy every morsel. Can not wait to go back!
The service was friendly and enjoyable, though we had some issues with the timing of our cocktails and wine not lining up with the food's arrival as they ideally would. But the food was such a knockout that we were easily able to shrug that off and thoroughly enjoy ourselves.
I don't think there's a need to highlight any specific dishes, both because it's a frequently-changing menu and because every single dish we had was outstanding (okay fine, get the charred sugar snap peas and the crispy baby artichokes at the very least). In a city full of exquisite culinary adventures, this is one that I'd happily go back to any time. Another selling point is that it's not insanely expensive like many of the other top spots in the city.
Very nice and chill vibe with enough space for each table to have a nice conversation during dinner.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food with something for everyone. Overall a super experience.
Great evening, our waitress was brilliant
Very nice but limited lunch menu. Food was very good, but not the "wow!" I expected.
Great food and lovely place
Great place! Well deserved Michelin star with very approachable prices. The service was attentive ( or overattentive like some other places) The place was half empty so not sure how they will perform if packed.
The food was excellent, the steak and the octopus were amazing. The chocolate cake needs some more chocolate in it, it was too plain for a place like this.
The food was absolutely amazing. The best duck that I have ever had. Drinks were creative and delicious!
The service was very good. We selected the tamales for an appetizer and they were delicious! All of our brunch dishes were tasty and the dessert was amazing. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Father’s Day brunch. It was lovely !
Amazing food, every brunch dish was well balanced. Service was ok, felt a bit rushed at some points.
We had a table of 5 people for a 7pm reservation and everything was fine until it was time to order. One of the specials was Swordfish, which one person in our party was excited to order. However, the waitress informed us after we ordered that the kitchen had run out of Swordfish for the evening. It was pretty disappointing that they ran out of their special so early in the evening.
One of the best restaurants that my family and I have ever been to.
Do not order the tasting menu. Even at the discounted 85 dollars you are buying blind. The chef "curates" the menu. In our case, this included none of the day's specials. but instead we were served boring and bland stock items, which none of us would have chosen. Only the first two courses were tasty and interesting. The service did not meet Michelin standards. Our server abandoned us mid meal and the person who had been clearing dishes filled in. No explanation or notice of this. The bartender was a bright spot. She was very innovative, personable and accommodating.
Great menu and delicious food, nice staff, good vibes.
Food is incredible !!
The kitchen at Meadowsweet does really well with Spring produce. Fried artichokes were especially excellent. Cocktails and service were great as usual.
So good. The food is always good. The service can be iffy. Tonight it was spot on. Really nice evening
This is a “find” for those looking for interesting, flavorful food, great cocktail and wine list with knowledgeable service. Thanks!
Excellent food and drinks. The hostess was very polite and greeted us as soon as she noticed us. The table was dirty and had a few sticky food items from before at 3 spots. The server was not so much into giving us a tour of the menu or what the place is about either. Would have ordered so much more should she have given us a description of the menu. When the food is so good the service should follow with ease. or at least a smile :)
Literally amazing. I have so many great things to say about brunch that I can't keep them all straight - I do know that I'll be back very soon with many more epeopke so they can all enjoy how fantastic it was! The duck hash especially!
Me and my Boyfriend spend a lot of time searching for restaurants, as we are both Chefs and make our meals at home. We visited Meadowsweet a few weeks ago and started recommending it to other industry friends as we had a fantastic meal. We were so disappointed to go back this past Saturday and have what was one of the worst meals we’ve experienced. Everything was extremely under seasoned. Our pea and burrata appetizer was basic, bland, and the peas were extremely undercooked. The pasta also bland and boring. Lastly my boyfriends chicken was dry, and my duck skin was not crispy and served with under seasoned bland mole. I was so disappointed we thought meadowsweet would become our new go to place. Back to the drawing board I guess!
One of my new favorite restaurants. Truly outstanding.
Good food, reasonable prices. The wine list can use an upgrade, but you can bring your own bottle for a $35 corkage fee. We got the crispy artichokes (excellent), the hamachi crude (not that great), the ribs (too sweet), Cavatelli with duck ragu (excellent). Overall a good place for dinner
We loved our experience at Meadowsweet. We were well taken care of by the professional and courteous staff. Food was crazy good! We did a tasting menu and loved everything the chef prepared. The wine parings were excellent. We would highly recommend this lovely restaurant!
