Amazing meal, every dish was better than the last. The scallops were unreal, and the octopus was perfectly cooked. Ambiance is that of a warm and low-key neighborhood spot. Order the cocktail with mezcal and cucumber for a refreshing and delicious treat.

I was in Brooklyn for a business event and wanted to take my wife to dinner while there. Meadowsweet caught my attention with it's good rating and reviews. The décor is rather simple and not pretentious. Gives it a more casual vibe.

The food was good. We shared the burrata as an appetizer. It's a bit small but was tasty and had a nice variety of textures. My wife had the vegetarian entrée with zucchini and falafel. The zucchini was amazing but the falafel was a bit dry and dense. I had the spicy duck and it was very good.

We decided to have dessert and shared the flourless chocolate cake. It was also very good.

Overall food is very good as is the service and the restaurant is a good value for the quality.

Primary server enthusiastic and competent. Other staff offhand and aloof.
I left a generous tip - which they mandatorily add for a table of 5 or more.
No recognition of this.
This makes me reconsider returning.
It’s a two way street guys.

We dined at Meadowsweet for my wife’s birthday. We were warmly received and decided on the five course tasting menu with wine pairing. Everything was delicious. Our menu included crispy baby artichokes salad, tajarin and truffle pasta, Scottish salmon, wagyu beef and dessert each paired with a interesting wine. It was a great ending to a fun day out and about in Brooklyn.

This Michelin recommended restaurant should be Michelin RATED. From service to cuisine Meadowsweet is impeccably delicious. While their menu often changes, I highly recommend the duck if they have it! Extremely tender and paired with the most unique root veggies and pickled blackberries!

Not really what I was hoping for, limited selection and not much flexibility for folks with some dietary consideration. Overall, the server was good, he was the best aspect of the meal. Meh, plenty of other great spots to try before you get stuck here.

My partner booked a table at Meadowsweet as a gift for my 40th. I had the tasting menu, well thought out dishes from Oysters to steak all perfectly presented and tasted fantastic. I was also surprised with a complimentary glass of champagne and a candle in my dessert - great touches and a meal & experience to remember. I would visit again if I come back to New York.

I've been to a number of high end restaurants but the service was a bit slow. The scallops were first over cooked then under cooked - we had to send it back.

The food that was prepared properly was excellent. So not sure what happened especially considering they're Michelin Starred but everyone has an off day.

It wasn't a bad experience just not a great experience.

Went for Mother’s Day brunch. Overall a decent experience but overpriced for what was being offered. The total price fix was in actuality more expensive than what was offered on the a la carte menu and it was pretty basic brunch items. Nothing over the top. Will not be back in all likelihood.

Loved our meal at Meadowsweet! Crispy artichokes were fabulous as was the apple tart. Bread was sensational too. Service was perfect. Tables are quite close together so we now know the intimate details of a sad break up but all in all it added to the charm of the evening.

Our party ordered several dishes and split it family style, which worked perfectly with the size of portions and the variety of things to try. The dishes were either excellent or intolerable. The parker house rolls and butter were eye-rollingly good. The cavatelli and duck ragu, tajarin & truffle, crisp baby artichokes, and roasted baby carrots were delicious, although a little heavy-handed on salt. I ordered a pizco sour off the menu and it was perfection. The herbs in the cocktails were so fresh and aromatic, it was sensory bliss. The roasted oysters were so salty, we sent it back. The "As You Wish" dessert cocktail was nauseatingly sweet.

Service was disappointing. Our server was not attentive, did not crack a smile, and was unsure if some of the dishes contained dairy and meat. The cocktails consistently arrived after the food did. Our first round of cocktails came in the middle of our first course. We had finished our dessert ten minutes before the dessert cocktail appeared.

With the expectations that accompany a Michelin star, Meadowsweet fell below the mark. While there were several star dishes, the poor service and send-back dishes tarnished the overall experience.

The brunch chopped salad was the perfect combination of textures and flavors and we didn't have a bite of anything that was less than tasty. The service was a bit strange. Our starters came out and then about 5 minutes later, our main courses came out. The pacing was odd and had lots of plates on our tables. And once the food was out we weren't checked on at all. Fortunately, everything was great! But if it hadn't been, we would have had to flag someone down instead of our server following up. I'm sure it was a fluke and I'll be back but it was something that felt strange in a Michelin-starred restaurant.

We had never experienced that bad service in years - specially if you are going to a good restaurant. It's extremely loud and we were particularly seating beside a table with two very loud couples. We were celebrating our anniversary and asked to be moved. The waiter told us that the people who were seating on our table before also asked to me moved and that they had no other tables available but that they will talk to the "loud and inappropriate" group one more time. Of course they didn't speak to them and to our surprise they were invited with champagne at the end of their dinner (they were obviously drunk enough...).
We complained one more time because the level of noise was unbearable and we received the most patronising attitude from the manager or owner. We were really trying to have a nice time and we were never rude. It was very shocking to see how they care care less about customer service...
Plenty of options in Brooklyn to go and enjoy a great dinner - Meadowsweet its not worth it.

Walked to this restaurant for dinner after going to Smorgasburg. I have been to numerous Michelin rated restaurants in New York and Chicago. This one is very close to the top of the list. Everything I had was outstanding. The burrata dish is out of this world and is a must get. Only downside was the desert. Got an apple souffle sort of dish with vanilla ice cream. It was good. But it wasn't not as mind blowing amazing as the other main dishes we had.
