Great location, service & food.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner for a friend's birthday. The setting was unique and special, and the food was very good!
An outstanding jewel in the Napa Valley area
Immensely enjoyed our time at The Grill. Food, waitstaff, ambiance was perfect. Will definitely return on next trip to Napa.
Great place with amazing food. Special place to celebrate birthdays or other occasions
Fine but food less than I thought
Good food and expected it to be so given the reputation of the "restaurant" meadowood. We were there on a day the other one is closed and can't afford anyway. We eat at very good restaurants just not the type of the expensive one so settled for the Grill. The food was great and service good but the portion of the "duck confit" was pitiful. One small single leg (not even the thigh) for $30. Sorry, won't return. A few days later we had lunch at Brix and ordered the Duck confit salad and it was $22 and very good. No need to waste your money at the Grill for that.
Such a peaceful and scenic place! The food was good and the ambiance on a Sunday morning was perfect. The Grill looks out to the golf course, so it was very nice.
Crush your avocado on the avocado toast 🙄
We decided to visit the Napa/Sonoma Area for a mini get-away and to support the local area after the devastating fires. We have always wanted to check out the Meadowood Resort, and my wife suggested we go there for breakfast before heading off to do some wine tasting. So...our breakfast was amazing! My dad and I had the Corned Beef Hash and my Wife had the Eggs Benedict with Salmon and Avocado. The hash is not even in the same category with any corned beef hash I have ever had. It was that good. My wife raved about her Eggs Benedict (I don’t even like salmon and the bite I had was great). Our server Lilia was attentive and friendly . She even brought out complimentary dishes of fresh berries for my wife and dad who were celebrating birthdays (complete with candles) nice touch. This is an expensive high end resort, and the prices reflected that but you have to splurge every now and then and it was worth it.
Food choices was poor & prices doesn’t match the food quality & portion & specially doesn’t match the 3 M-stars
Food was excellent, service, great...major disappointment. Why? The ambiance was sorely lacking; It was little more than a golf club house, a place you have a beer after 18 holes. For a dinner that cost well over $200 for two (one glass of wine each, no cocktails or after-dinner drinks), it was breathtaking and not in a good way. We expected more from Meadowood, even if it was the “grill”.
Fabulous service, food, drink and atmosphere! We had their four course dinner and everything was delicious.
A great experience all around - service, food, recommendations, staff! A perfect brunch for my wife and me celebrating her birthday.
We sat outside overlooking the golf course. Beautiful view at breakfast. All was fresh n tasty. Great service!!
The surrounding was amazing, we loved their assorted pastries, and the blood orange pancakes..., everything prepared nicely. The services were outstanding.
A great brunch! Blood Orange pancakes and Burger were delicious. We had to wait a long time for our cocktails, but our server was very apologetic and they were delicious too, arriving seconds before our food.
The odd thing was that there were employees going through the dining room with big heavy picnics baskets the whole time. I assume this was room service in action but it’s strange they go right past all the tables.
The food was really special and our server was very gracious. That is the main takeaway!
I love the place! It is beautiful. My family really enjoyed it. The big trees and the golf corse are impecable.
Good service; Meadowood is always pleasant setting; were there for Sunday brunch. House made corned beef hash nicely flavored, grilled salmon over greens very fresh
The Grill at Meadowood has always been a place of serenity, excellent food and wonderful service. Today it is even more so. Sitting on the balcony above the Meadowood golf course, enjoying beautiful plating of creative cuisine, the Grill captures all that is the Napa Valley.
Went to The Grill for dinner while staying at Meadowood. Prime attraction was that it was on the campus and we didn't have to drive to St. Helena. (We did drive to St. Helena the previous night and had a terrific meal, so we compared our experience there with The Grill and it wasn't close.) Atmosphere is similar to a grill at a golf club and that's exactly what it is. There is inviting outside dining with a nice golf course view, but no heat lamps and it is pretty dark, so that might be good for lunch or early dinner but not good after the sun sets. We had a flatbread appetizer and the topping was great but the flatbread was practically raw. We shared an excellent heirloom tomato salad. Our entrees, halibut (good) and roast chicken (over roasted) were just OK. We shared a nice chocolate desert. Service was fine and the restaurant was about 25% full so service should be good! We had a total of two cocktails and two glasses of wine. The kicker is that the bill, including tip, came to $110 per person! Astronomical price for an OK dinner in a clubhouse grill! I'd recommend taking the Meadowood limo service (if you are staying there) into St. Helena to one of many places where you would get far more value for your dollar. If you aren't staying there, just go to St. Helena for dinner! Try The Market!
I was expecting more from a restaurant from the people of Meadowood. Yes, it's not THE restaurant, but one would expect the prices to match the quality of the food and service. Sadly, it did not. When the food was served, nothing was explained, just placed down before us. Also, they did not wait for my husband to return from the restroom before serving the food. They just brought it out when it was convenient for them. This is a very casual restaurant, so no need to dress up. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. The best part of the meal was the marinated olives.
When you're at Meadowood, you feel like you're in a private valley. The views are gorgeous and the service is impeccable. Food is always great and they did not disappoint on our visit.
Beautiful surroundings, food good, but a bit overpriced. Very nice service
On vacation, with my sister. It was 100 degrees outside and one of the porters gave as a short ride in a golf cart from the hotel's main entrance to the restaurant (literally a few steps away)!Came in on a Sunday afternoon, 2 pm; a few other late diners already present when we arrived and we got a table immediately. Ordered the amberjack ceviche, heirloom tomato salad, and split a wagyu hamburger. Everything was delicious!! Second time dining at the restaurant; first time was 2 years ago with my best friend. Did I mention our table looks out over the golf course?? I highly recommend 👍
This is a hidden gem in Napa... so many restaurants create complicated menus that intimidate foodies, but here the food is creative but basic. The food and service is incredible and the outdoor patio has amazing views.
Went there for dinner and had a wonderful evening. Food was great. The only down side was the Wine list which is pretty expensive with almost no wine under 100$. But the food was really nice, with the Wagyu beef being tasty and cooked rare as we had asked which isn't the case most of the time.
We came here to celebrate my mother's birthday after wine tasting. The food was outstanding and the wait staff was spot on. The drive in was very pretty and sitting outside was lovely. I do wish that some the trees would be trimmed so that everyone can have a great view but we will be back!!
Not up to Napa standards...
Great restaurant in the company of beautiful scenery. Awesome service with wonderfully cooked food. We will be back.
Charlie was incredible. Food and service was memorable!
Great quality food! Beautiful setting on the outside deck! Excellent wait staff but slow kitchen. 😒
The waygu beef entree very average, not the signature dish. Service was great, ambience amazing.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Wonderful experience.
Had a private room room with family, nice to have a space to visit.
Was disappointed in the ambiance of such a highly rated resort. The grounds are beautiful. Food wasn't cooked properly and we had ants crawling on us.
The lawnmower was going and very loud
Over the years, I've eaten several excellent dinners at The Grill. It's a lovely setting just beneath Meadowood's amazing Michelin 3 Star sister. Our most recent meal however was terribly disappointing. The food was barely adequate. The $48 Wagyu steak was an absurdly small portion, 50% fat and excessively salted. The salmon was good but unremarkable. The service was amateurish. The full winelist was, as usual, outstanding but the wines by the glass were overpriced and disappointing...especially striking given how many local winemakers eat there. Since The Valley has so many outstanding restaurants, I'd eat lunch at The Grill but skip dinner. As opposed to Boucheon which has the flavor of the French Laundry, this place bears no resemblance to Chris Kostow's terrific 3 star. Instead, I'd head to town and try his excellent Charter Oak.
