   amazingly delicious food as always. All 6 meals were cooked to perfection. No complaints.

   Hmmmm. Been there for dinner and lunch but only ordered the things I've seen recommended on yelp and chowhound, etc. Went off the beaten path this time, ordered the duck quesadilla and the lamb sandwich special and, eh. Definitely not worth the $$$. Stick to the halibut, the steak or the Kobe burger and you'll be fine.

   McPhee's Grill is a very comfortable but pricey restaurant. It serves prime beef and spicy side dishes. However, and it is just an opinion, they need to season their beef before they grill so that it has some flavor when served. They also may need bring the beef to room temperature before they grill so that the juices are enhanced. The grilled chili served with the ribeye is wonderful as are the jalapeno mashed potatoes.

   One of the better places for steak in the Paso Robles area. They have a $20 corkage fee, but if you buy one of theirs, they waive the fee for one of yours. :)

   Great little find in Templeton CA. Would highly recommend if you're in the Paso area. Some great local wines on the wine list. Venteux wine was exceptional.

    McPhee's is always terrific. We shared a few small plates to sample as much as possible. We had the hand-pulled Mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes, crispy shrimp with Asian slaw (so good!), Caesar salad (quality Parmesan) and the fig tart for dessert. McPhee's has a great wine list--we enjoyed the Vina Robles Petite Sirah and house Cab--the house wines are made by Jim Clendenen of Bon Climat and are a steal at $9/glass. McPhee's is always top notch! We always make a point of stopping there when traveling north on the 101.
