McKee's Brasserie has become the gourmet headquarters for Balsall Common villagers and foodies from neighbouring Coventry and Solihull. With its themed menu nights and cooking club classes, McKee's restaurant attracts locals as well as business types from the Birmingham airport and tourists from Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle. The warm and inviting coffee and caramel toned dining room is traditional with its candlelit tables and low-lit lamps, and treats from the restaurant's modern Brit menu include the tiger prawn salad in a lime, coriander, lemon, soy and garlic dressing; the half a duck served with leek and strips of bacon topped with port sauce; and the warm brownie served with berries and pistachio ice cream.

Another well presented theme night. Excellent value and quality. Dish of the night was the beef pie, it also seemed to be the most popular. Well filled with tender flavoursome beef and served with a generous portion of mixed vegetables. The meal was completed with a modest portion of bread and butter pudding,followed by freshly brewed tea. All in all a nice way to celebrate St. Patrick's day.

Another excellent themed night based around fish. A good selection for each course catering for all tastes. The salmon main was particularly well received. Fortunately the desert choice moved away from the fish theme to more conventional treats like sticky toffee pudding. Very good value with a welcome drink,four courses and a beverage. Will be back for St Patrick's dinner.

The quality of the food and service is excellent. The Dining Room lacks character and is a hotel dining room. Practical and clean.

Good value, high quality food. Service was excellent given how busy they were. Some confusion upon arrival of two of the party but sorted in due course.

Fantastic, flavoursome three courses. Three excellent ladies serving. Georgia advised she was very new, but she had a great knack of customer service. High praise to the kitchen staff for such wonderful food. It was only a few hundred metres away from my friend's front door, too. Thoroughly recommended!!
