Good food and fine service
McGill's on 21st has been my favorite restaurant in town for years. Great food, wonderful atmosphere and very well priced for the food that you get.
Always consistently high quality food, exceptional service with an old fashioned club ambiance@ the 21st location. Menu is sufficiently diverse, and evening specials always intriguing. Cocktail hour is perfect; appetizers make for a lite dinner when the table orders 4/5 offerings. Sadly, the baked Brie plate is no longer offered- it was over the top
Great value compared to the higher end restaurants in town.
This is one of our go to places on spur of moment as well as planned events with other couples
Great place for a business lunch or dinner. Steaks are terrific and I have never been disappointed with the food or service.
Took a group of friends to McGills before going to a show. Great food and service was excellent. One of the better things was that we could actually talk to each other and hear without having to strain to hear or yell. As always, the food was exceptional. McGills is a favorite "special place" for anniversaries and special occasions.
Very nice. JR’s is a very good waiter.
Had a few people tell me this was a great steak.. which the steak was good but I wasn't impressed.
Restaurant interior is outdated and lacked character. It just didn’t feel like a fine dining venue. The food tasted unseasoned/ underwhelming. It took 20 minutes to get our cocktails and the restaurant wasn’t busy. The ocassion for our trip was Valentines Day and I was so disappointed.
Very accommodating and cozy. Food and service was great with attention to detail.
First time at 21st location, the food and atmosphere was outstanding.
What an enjoyable meal with family & friends. Honestly my filet was perfectly prepared - there was not a bump in the road the entire night. Thanks to Nick for being sure we got our favorite table. Service was above & beyond. One of the reasons this remains a Tulsa favorite.
Very nice place for a business dinner.
Always a treat to dine at McGills. The food and service are outstanding!! Love the atmosphere! You can actually have a conversation!!
I had planned for a quiet birthday celebration for two. The food, service, and wine was good. However, the amount of noise from the other patrons was far too much. My party of 2 could not have a normal conversation due to the noise level. For a date night/birthday celebration, I was very displeased. I do not know if I will go back. Entirely too loud.
Great service and food! Easy to have conversation with everyone at your table!!
Always impeccable service!! Food was perfect once again! Love this Tulsa gem!!
Excellent food & service. Awesome bread! Ordered filet & rib-eye, both cooked to perfection. Very nice evening!!
We’ve made this an annual Christmas dinner get together. Food, service, ambiance all of the highest order. Prices about what I expect for a restaurant of this order. Will return next Christmas &, hopefully, many times before then, as well.
We had a very nice table and our waitress was exceptional, but our food was just fair. Our steaks were done to our liking, but they were tough. Our baked potatoes were cold. I realize that it was New Years eve, but it was very noisy.
Festive celebration for New Year's Eve with friends. Food was great and the service was excellent!
McGill's was the perfect spot for our family to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. Wonderful food, service, and ambiance made it a wonderful experience for all!
steak was excellent very tender! nice atmosphere!
Excellent dinner. The service was impeccable. I will be back next time I am in town.
We had made a reservation for a date night, and they squeezed us into a 2 top with club chairs behind a table with the same set up. The space was so tight the other party kept bumping into/moving my chair every time they moved. On both sides of us, they were seating parties of 3 at the 2 tops with club chairs pulling and extra chair up. There were plenty of tables open when we were there. I’m not sure why they needed to pack everyone in.
I was also disappointed in the menu change. We went there specifically so I could have coconut shrimp, and they no longer serve it. I understand menu changes, and found something else to order, but the overall experience was definitely not what we have been accustomed to over the years I’ve been dining at McGills.
We went her to celebrate finishing radiation treatments at St. John. We had a wide range of ages and tastes. Everyone found several items on the menu that they liked. The food was great. Our meals ranged from surf and turf to lobster pasta. The service was excellent. The atmosphere by the burning fireplace was fabulous. It was a fitting way to celebrate. We would definitely go back!
I had reserved a table for 4 but at the last minute there were two extra in our party. On arrival we were greeted at the door and explained we now had more than originally thought. This was not an issue and we were escorted to a lovely table for 6. Our wait staff - Amy - was fabulous and explained everything and waited on us in a timely manner without being too invasive. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious.
McGill's in a solid dining experience and we like to take our international visitors there when they come to see us.
Great service, good food, worth the visit.
Had dinner with family and friends. A private room is available if needed.
Our waiter, Mark was exceptional. Polite. Knowledgeable. Available, but not over bearing. Ask for him, should you visit McGills on 21st, you will not be disappointed.
The dining table with club chairs for 4 was just too SMALL .Had to remove decoration & condiments from the table to get our meal served !!
Food was great but the service was bad, first our server took forever to take our order initially then after we received our food she never came back and checked on us, the manager passes by and asked how the food was and then said he could bring us more bread and of course that never happened so we left there with a bad experience and will not return
The food is far from worth the cost. I would much rather spend an extra $10 and go to Fleming’s. The steak and the roasted red potatoes were dry and flavorless, and my drink was left empty more than once. My date thought the asparagus was not properly seasoned, and was sad to see me spend so much money when I could have gotten a better (and much cheaper) meal at Charleston’s.
Great visit to Tulsa to see special friends at my very favorite restaurant. Consistently excellent service, food and atmosphere.
Surf and turf special was excellent. 1/2 pound of crab legs and a filet, pure perfection. Wife had the Alfredo with chicken also excellent. We went for our anniversary and we will be going back. Get what you pay for and it's definitely worth it. Service was excellent, our waitress, Grace, excellent.
Ordered the filet mignon medium rare. It was delivered over cooked. I was hesitant to return it, but I did. I have probably sent my food back twice in a decade.
A new meal was delivered with the filet still overdone and this time, the grilled veggies were crispy. I lost the energy to eat too many tough foods so I didn't eat. As a frequent diner, I expected more of this upscale restaurant.
We go to McGill's for special occasions, and this one was my Mom's 95th birthday. The staff and food are excellent. Ambiance is wonderful for conversation. We love this restaurant! Best in Tulsa...
This location can be a little difficult to find if your not paying attention, once inside it is very inviting and a great setting for a special occasion such as our anniversary. The food was very good, my wife enjoyed the surf and turf, and I had the pork chop. The only retraction from the evening was the applesauce glaze on the pork chop, if you like cinnamon I am sure it is amazing, unfortunatly, I can’t stand it. Although it was entirely my taste buds fault, the kitchen quickly remade the entire plate without the sauce and it was amazing! Grace was our server, and she took great care of us. She alone is worth a return visit!
It was our 31st anniversary. It was fairly quiet for a late weekend reservation (we drove in from OKC). The food was great, and the waitress was attentive. The avocado crab cocktail and my soup were excellent as was the steak. The prime rib was good, but not quite as tender as the steak. The drinks and wine we ordered were very good, too. An older couple was sitting close to us, and they were "breaking up", and we could hear their conversation. Not complaining, because it was amusing. When they left, another couple seemed relieved that they had left. We started talking, and found they were having their first wedding anniversary. The customers at McGill's are friendly (if they are not breaking up).
I did return a week or so later and enjoyed the bar atmosphere. You just feel at home at McGill's. I will return for a third time when I am back in Tulsa.
One of our favorite places to dine out. The food, ambiance, service are always wonderful. This was my wife's birthday celebration. We were fortunate to have one of our favorite out of town friends with us that have never been there. They thoroughly enjoyed the evening also.
Came to Tulsa for our anniversary and decided to try this place out for dinner. It was great! The service was outstanding, the food was good, and the ambience is perfect for an intimate dinner. We would definitely come back for a special occasion!
You can rarely go wrong with any of the specials and McGill's. Their pepper crusted steaks are delicious!
