Food was delicious. Husband and I shared small plates so we could try several different items. The grilled butternut squash with goat cheese was our favorite. We loved the pork sliders! The slaw and pimento cheese combo on the slider was both tangy and sweet. Our servers Paula and John Michael were helpful and attentive. Great location to walk from our downtown hotel. Highly recommend!

Had appetizers and salad before a Grizzlies game and everything was SUPERb! Duck enchiladas are always a favorite for us. All the food here is good and the atmosphere is very cool. Highly recommend stopping in

Celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary and wanted a nice and quiet place for some great food and not alot of noise, this was perfect!!! Food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and attentive.

The food was delicious, the baked brie was perfect, and we had shrimp and grits. Those were my daughter’s favorite, but the short rib pasta melted in my mouth….Delicious! We weren't fond of our waiter. He was passive-aggressive! Luckily, all the other servers made up for it. I give it 5🌟stars!

First time dining here while visiting Memphis. A Southern-cusine-inspired menu with a variety of entrées from which to select. Spouse ordered sweet potato crusted catfish, I had masa crusted redfish - both terrific dishes. I also had the goat cheese arugula salad - very nice. Modest but OK wine list - we ordered a chardonnay that we liked & will look for when we get back home. Good service - Lee, our server was engaging, capable, & never intrusive. Thanks, Lee.

I love the food at McEwen’s as well as the ambiance. Having come to Memphis for work several weeks in a row, this is a place I could eat at every night. The food is great and the service staff are all so friendly. Only knock I would have is every visit, we would wait for a long time our meals…like awkwardly long. And the bill took forever to get. Never been less than a 2 hour event, so would plan accordingly.

Everything about our experience was great. Service was quick and efficient. Our server Justin was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and had great suggestions. We had the t-bone pork chop with mashed potatoes and green beans, perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend for any occasion.

Don’t be put off by the lines of the exterior or interior. The product; the food, is outstanding. Excellent, creative, and wonderfully prepared. The service was outstanding by a personable, attentive, and competent waiter. Wonderful meal.

Once again we took a chance and it paid off. Salads were fantastic, cocktails delicious, my friend loved her Espresso Martini and the fellas were in awe of the Bourbon list. Grilled butternut squash and sea bass were a hit. The desserts to include crème brûlée, key lime pie and banana cream pie scrumptious. Service impeccable!

Food was okay. I got the Sea Bass. It was not seasoned very much, kinda bland. Risotto was not great and the potato’s were soaked in some kind of juice which made them soggy on the plate. My friend had a ribeye and he said it was decent. Overall not bad for the price. Service was excellent and the food was out very fast. Old fashion was good too.

My wife said it was the best Red Fish she has ever had... coming from us living on the East Coast, that's saying something! Enjoyed our conversation with both our waiter, and (who I assume) the owner/manager. Very enjoyable evening!

As always, the food and service was excellent. A comfortable place, uncomplicated and never stuffy. Quality food very well prepared. Servers are attentive but don’t pester you unnecessarily. We celebrate our anniversary here every year and are never disappointed.

We sat at the bar which allowed us the opportunity to chat with the “locals “. Food was excellent, I ordered the salmon, my husband had the red fish. Beautiful restaurant in a quiet location but close enough to main hotels to walk.

We were a few minutes late for our reservation but were still met with graciousness and kindness. We were seated quickly and the offerings were top notch. Our server went out of his way to explain the specials and what he preferred about each thing I asked about. I had a blackberry smash and my husband drank a glass of wine. We shared the fried green tomato appetizer. One of us had the redfish and one of us the mahi special. Both were delicious! We shared the chocolate molten cake for dessert. The timing of the meal was efficient as the staff had already asked if we were seeing a show. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the valet service was horrible/barely existing. This is a third party valet service and not the restaurant, but being downtown requires prompt and professional valet service for the convenience of guests.
